Just bought the keyboard I got it as a gift from my mom I was so happy but the. I got scared when I heard it’s membrane but it’s been a couple hours and I’ve been loving it it’s good build quality AMAZING SOUND it’s confortable to use LOVE THE keyboard I definitely recommend this keyboard
Got this a while back and was confused at the key layout but after watching your video I see mine has the UK layout like yours. I changed it from the US layout in settings however I notice that the labels on the keys are wrong specifically the numbers at the top starting at 6 the special characters are all wrong.
The unit you display on the video suffers from one deadly flaw (in my opinion): has the ill-conceived European keyboard layout, with a small left Shift key. That would be a non starter for me. Fortunately, I have been able to get the US layout version here in Greece. It's an awesome keyboard. BTW that was an excellent review, thank you very much!
Glad you liked the review, and to be honest I'm opposing in that view - the UK layout for me works far better than the US (larger shift, smaller enter key); guess that's subjective/what we're used to haha :D
Calling a different language layout "ill conceived" is just weird, isn't it? I myself prefer ABNT2, as you don't like the small shift and I don't like the small "Enter" key in the US layout.
I clumsily poured coca cola on that keyboard, and I was like man, we're doomed. but then I was like wait a minute. is it really water proof ? I was so lazy to remove the keys and clean them one by one, so I poured water on the keyboard, and it's pretty neat working.
I just bought one, yet to arrive, to replace my Razer Cynosa V2, because the keys are have started to smudge/blur. Never had that with any other keyboard. I wanted membrane again, as I don't want something clicky.
Thanks for this review! I'm really interested in buying this, though where I live the keyboard costst about 80 euros... Would you still recommend it at that pricepoint?
Is it good for gaming? I have a mechanical logitech pro tkl, way more expensive and noisy. I play starcraft and csgo and need very good keys , i had a cheap membrane and it was fine but sometimes keys would press together
@@TotallydubbedHD yes, you said somehow it wasn't suitable for "high" gaming. Thus i always felt membrane keyboard smoother for multitastking whatever ppl saying mechanical is more reactive. I had this kind of membrane in the past, typing felt smoother only problem is that some keys would interact together when doing severall things in a row. I dont know what to think.
Hello, nice video so far, but I'm really confused. At 5:01, I don't understand how to access that screen which leads me to controll the illumination settings. Can anyone help with that? I've watched several videos so far, but they all get to that screen with no problem. I don't see how to get to it. As far as I know, I've successfully downloaded the free download, and the installation seemed to be successful as well. The problem is that I'm just not finding the screen I need to customize my keyboard color. I only need a steady red glow. I'm not a gamer, just a photographer who works on screen edits in a darkened room and I needed an illuminated keyboard because it is so dark in the room in which I edit. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :)
It's the SS engine software and it should include the RGB controls, if not, via the apps shown just before it, you can toggle it on or install it separately. That's from memory!
I'm not sure if you have played it, but how well will this Keyboard work with competitive Fortnite? I live in Germany, so this is a pretty good deal considering my location. And I would be switching from a Bakth Mechanical Keyboard that was $25, should I stick with the Bakth, or give the Apex 3 a shot?
don't buy this keyboard brought it new from a pc store next to my location and 3 keys was faulty right from the start they worked only sometimes. brought back this bullshit to the store and went with another company that didn't sell broken keyboards
This is the worst keyboard! I bought two over the last 1,5 years and both ended up having the same problem. The following keys stopped working after 7-8 months... ( < n , . - 0 . ) Seriously how can two keyboards puchased at different dealers get the same problem after a short period of time? I tried them on different pc's but same issue. I will never buys a Steelseries keyboard again!

Will look into it, but no guarantee as I've not received a single XPG product to review, ever lol

how to custumyse the keybinds?
You need to download the SteelSeries Engine from their Website - if it doesn't install automatically once you plug the keyboard in

Can you set the RGB on individual keys? Or just the 10 zones.
Only 10 zones
Are the macro key settings saved, uuntll changed even when the keyboard is disconnected and the Apex software c!owed?
