I own an Apex 3 and A Razer Huntsman. I use the huntsman for my gaming computer and i use the APEX 3 for my office computer. I consider the APEX 3 as an office keyboard because its smooth, quiet and comfortable when pressing the keys. Unfortunately The mechanical keyboard was so noisy during our office meetings.
If you place a rectangle bar of foam (from packing) underneath the keyboard it almost eliminates any flexing on top of absorbing sound. Then I add strips of foam sheets (from packing trays of tomatoes from the grocery store; it's free) to the space bar, and place the keyboard ontop of a neoprene keyboard mat which is sitting ontop of 3 sheets of foam (from the tomatoe packing); the sound is greatly reduced to quite thacking (borderline thock) due to the keycaps wobble, but when bottoming out, the keycaps thock.
i never comment on reviews because im just that type of person. But you deserve a thumbs up for a very down to earth everyday common man description of the product - without the rif raf nonsense rap videos that people generally make!
Fantastic review. I especially like the type sound portion. I really like how you tried to capture the sound to how we would hear it while using it. Most reviewers tend to just lightly type, but I like how you tested different typing intensities. I have a question though. Due to the key height increase, would you consider the keys to be too high for comfort? Great video, keep up the great work.
First impression of the exposed plastic was pretty bad but I think it’s growing on me. I’m looking to upgrade my apex 100 and I’m finding I just don’t like typing on mechanical keyboards. They look beautiful though.
Hi say i were to change the lighting on the keyboard on pc then swap to another console does it save to the keyboard or to the computer you changed it on?
I would assume that it would I changed the color on my steel series 110 mouse and connected it to another computer and the stayed the same so I would infer that it would stay the same
it has prism sync, it can also react like Rival 3 mouse if you set it up. I am going to buy this keyboard but atm I am using Trust Avonn keyboard and when I type my mouse will pulse purple color and after I stop it goes back to smooth color changing
This is the worst keyboard! I bought two over the last 1,5 years and both ended up having the same problem. The following keys stopped working after 7-8 months... ( < n , . - 0 . ) Seriously how can two keyboards puchased at different dealers get the same problem after a short period of time? I tried them on different pc's but same issue. I will never buys a Steelseries keyboard again!
don't buy this keyboard brought it new from a pc store next to my location and 3 keys was faulty right from the start they worked only sometimes. brought back this bullshit to the store and went with another company that didn't sell broken keyboards

Nice Keyboard. it feels like metal I genuinely thought the case may of been made out of aluminum.

can you do solid colors on the lights?
figured it out. yes it can do solid colors. just go to click each zone and then set it to steady then pick what color.

i downloaded the engine but i cant find it anywhere ;-;
hit the windows icon, search up “run”, click the thing that looks like a blue drive, type i. “%appdata%, files, and look for it
