I personally love the floating key design, and the way the plastic helps to blend the different RGB zones. But another reason you did not mention for it is water/liquid resistance. The clear plastic on the keyboard helps to channel the liquid to the small holes on the bottom of the keyboard. Having owned this keyboard and seeing the alternatives in this price point (Corsair, Logitech), this keyboard is definitely worth it if all you have is $50.
The exact reason I bought it, I don’t want the most high end keyboard because I’m not a high end person, and won’t be using it all day every day. For the price. It’s great. I love it. No complaints
Just bought one and will update when I get it :) It is an excellent keyboard. The rgb is nice and bright and looks great. The keys feel great even though it is a rubber dome. The wrist rest is very soft to the touch and is comfortable. I am very impressed.
I've been watching some of your reviews lately and it's so refreshing to watch these. You aren't like some reviewers who strecht out the video for ad purposes. And you aren't being paid to force an opinion on your viewers. Thanks for being honest, keep up the uploads and you'll grow like crazy!
The review came across as very honest and informative. It left me feeling that you really wanted to like the keyboard but in the end you went with your head not your heart. Thanks!
I ended up buying this to replace my Apex 5 that I spilled water on and shorted some of the LEDs. This one is water resistant luckily but doesn't let you assign RGB per individual keys like on the Apex 5. Definitely not the more mechanical feel of the Apex 5, but not as mushy as the keyboards that come pre-packaged with home PCs. It's a good middle point. Great review as always.
I am typing on this keyboard for 8 hrs a day now - I use it for work and love it ! Gaming keyboards are so much better than your standard office keyboard. I think keyboards like this have opened up a different market without realising it. For gaming I have a separate gaming rig with a mechanical Corsair K95 - so horses for courses. This is a budget gaming keyboard with a great build quality for the price. For gaming there are better options out there if you're willing to spend the cash, but for the office where people tend to skimp on costs, it outshines the competition by a long way !
This is actually the comment I needed to read. Looking to swap out my keyboard at work. I currently use the Apex Pro on my PC at home and I love it. Definitely not going to spend $200 on my desk at the office..... but 50 bucks for a solid keyboard that's also water resistant seems like a pretty good deal.
I like this floating keyboard because it show more light, water resistant, and you can take out each button to clean the underneath.. kinda cool!! Love the soft quiet sound of it too.
I personally really like the floating key design. And yes i do own this board so i know how it looks without the board. But for a membrane its not mushy at all! Steelseries really outshined the market with this one.
I recently picked up a apex 3, Rivel 3 and arctis 1 and it’s great, people say steel series is expensive but they don’t realise that the budget options are great
I have an Apex 3. I've had it for about a week or two now and honestly, I absolutely love everything about it! Now, I will say I've never actually had a genuine gaming keyboard before (this being my first one), but I do love it. The RGB is amazing and it just overall feels modern. I think the price is right given the fact that most keyboards are over $100. If you want a cheap keyboard this is definitely the way to go. The only thing that I would say that the wrist rest does get lots of fingerprints on it. :)
Do you have headaches after using them for a while? I never found a review saying that they are daaamn heavy, which sucks. I like them a lot, but they end up tiring me.

Honestly just switched to this keyboard from my Corsair Strafe which I've had for like 3ish years.I don't know how to feel about it, I can understand how it gives off a cheap vibe. However, its honestly a good keyboard, if you don't mind the membrane clicking, its honestly hard to pass up on this keyboard. I personally also love the RGB and the floating key design, and you get the ability to have RGB instead of my Corsair Strafe which I paid $70 more for the red color alone. Overall, I miss my Strafe's feel but this gives me a premium feel as well, and I felt like it was time to put my strafe to rest. :) I'll keep it since its still fully functional, but this is a nice change for $35(prime day deal!).
The Apex 3 works fine . Had one now for a few months and love it. Not the Greatest but for the price it's Nice. Used it for Warcraft and other Games and have had no issues with it.
