Amazon literally just delivered this keyboard to my house! My son wanted a TKL keyboard to use with his laptop and the media wheel was a must-have, but we didn't want to spend over $100 on a wireless Logitech or Corsair or the thin keys on the Roccat. They keys are so quiet and are perfectly fine for his online classes and casual gaming. Plus, the price is pretty sweet!! 🤑
little tip, I own a roccat and logitech mice, they both are pretty meh. MY first gaming mouse was a Steel series rival 100, that mouse was amazing and I got it right before they stopped selling it, (now they have a slightly better version the rival 3) and I used it till I literally wore the bottom out. Took 5 years of daily use. Then got a 80 dollar Kone Aimo Remastered. Take note, this was their top of the line mouse at the time. The mouse wheel broke 2 days later. The mouse would then literally freeze a computer until you reset it without it plugged in, only worked on gaming consoles. Then I bought a 130 dollar logitech g903. The quality was super poor, and honestly the only good part was that it was wireless with good battery life.
My first gaming keyboard was an Apex 100, and that beast was amazing... After 4 years, I switched to a Logitech G413 Carbon and it's the best keyboard I've even had. I honestly love the Romer-G switch
i got this keyboard n i love it. it works very well for typing or gaming and it gives me much more room with my mouse then a full sizeboard did before.
I had a cheap office keyboard. this was a good option to upgrade from it. Not as expensive as a hard core gaming keyboard but far far better than the cheaper general office keyboard
It’s nice as it’s compact and it’s steel for a fairly high end look to it. Which makes it a good choice, especially for someone who don’t wanna spend over like £80 on a keyboard.
I really love all you videos. I have for 10+ years used a lot of mechanical keyboards. I have now gone back to rubber dome. I have to say I actually love the feeling of the keyboard. Apex 3. i used a membrane tkl keyboard for like 15 years, the microsoft sidewinder x6. I only switched because i wanted to try someting new and the keycaps around wasd where nearly gone, so i bought a cheap gateron optical switches the mizar mz60 and modded that with heavier springs, everything lubed, spacebar holee mod, dampening in the case and this thing is my new "main", sounds fantastic and is a pleasure to type and game on. I cant go back now to membrane, but i still have lots of fond memories of the sidewinder x6 and will keep it as backup:)
technically the Microsoft Sidewinder X6 could be used in TKL mode as it had a detachable numpad though the excess plastic around the borders wasn't as streamlined. It was a good feeling membrane keyboard with low profile key caps and the X4 improved upon the design somewhat and was sold at a much lower price. I still have the X6 and it still feels quite nice to use but I have nice mechanical keyboards now and don't see myself continuing to use it as a daily driver.
I know its not a membrane board but have you looked at the Redragon K618 and K621, they look like a decent budget G915. Full size and TKL versions, Bluetooth/2.4ghz/wired, low profile, and it looks like it might be hot swap but like with other Redragon products that will probably be limited to outemu switches.
It’s terrific to see a half decent membrane keyboard ⌨️ being issued. I personally haven’t used one in my rig for about 6+ years, however I do use them regularly for work etc and you can feel the difference between a cheap OEM (Dell/Lenovo) keyboard and a higher quality membrane keyboard from manufacturers such as Logitech/Razer/Redragon to name a few. Membrane will never fully die, so to speak. Maybe more so in the gamers scene, but not the office world. Great looking keyboard Techne 🥰👍🥳 as I personally love TKL/65/70% keyboards and I enjoy your content and energy 👍☺️
I'm primarily a gamer and I will always choose membranes over mechanicals. Spent close to 1000 dollars finding the perfect mechanical but I still go back to quality membranes. In fact I bought 2 extra Corsair K55 and SteelSeries Apex 3 for stock in case the whole world decides to not manufacture membranes anymore. Silly, but at least I am guaranteed to have good membrane keebs in the next 15 years. I don't get the hate for membranes. Quiet, perfect for office, feels nice to type on, responsive, and doesn't really affect typing speed (I average 100 wpm).
