The fact that the other just stood there and did nothing is just as BAD. They all should have been fired. The whole thing is just disgusting.
Right??!! I wonder if any of THEM were also investigated? They’re somewhat culpable-that other dude that sorta kinda pulled him off of her, was the only 1 that helped, but it took him a minute too!! The others literally just looked on! That dude in red shorts backed up like, “hey y’all see this right?” 🤦♀️😤
Elon musk should give them all a free one way ticket if ya catch my drift
To outer space

Because that’s what usually they do but they just forgot to turn off the camera

They should be charged also
They should be held to account also. Standing back and watching, makes them just as bad in my eyes.
Right??? Absolutely disgusting
Exactly. They’re all just as guilty.
good cops are like unicorns
It was bad, but the fact that he interfered with the EMTs’ treatment of the victim makes it way, way worse.
Facts!!
That's standard practice. My right cheekbone sits a quarter inch back from my left one cause a cop forged my signature denying medical. It got shattered and my eye was the size of a softball. And somehow I wrote perfect cursive in handcuffs
@@bigc9464that's an easy lawsuit
@@bigc9464 Even though you experienced a horrible cop doing that to you still doesn't make it standard practice, because it's not.
@@xenophagiamight not be standard but I bet it’s common enough for it to be an issue with policing in general and not specific to one or two cops.
He’s worried about her harming herself so he punched her.
Got it.

Crazy how I learned that in Sunday school because she would put me in an empty room and all I had to read was a couple of religious books and some hymn book. The hymns were boring.
I do have a question though… what is up with eating the flesh and blood thing? I think it’s the creepiest thing I have done in my whole life and it was every Sunday like a ritual with the organ blasting creepy music. Weird stuff to get dressed up for.
He only got one day in jail but if this were the other way around, she would have received a long prison term.
His snorting and sniffing is pissing me off
Could just be allergies but to be honest based on his behavior I wouldn't be surprised if he has a bit of a habit with the white powder

Thank you it’s disgusting
Dude, u beat up a drunken girl who's handcuffed. U messed up to the point where u knew that the EMS was going to complain, that's why u didn't want her to be seen by them... U DO NOT HAVE THE TEMPERAMENT TO BE AN OFFICER OF THE LAW... Sorry, but u don't. U can't just beat up people just because they make u mad. I'm a freaking civilian and I'm not allowed to do that, so you're definitely not allowed to...
Wrong. He's a cop so he is allowed. He'll probably get a promotion or if he's let go from that department he'll easily join another.
They're strong and independent and equal to men
Well said!!!
@@macm3081absolutely....
@@macm3081 The "promotion" part of what you said is just ridiculous in this case because he was obviously fired. However there is a huge problem with bad cops just ending up getting employed in another department, as you said. That definitely needs to stop.
At least they didn't give this guy the option to "quietly resign" instead of being fired for a horrible offense like this, and since he was fired for a violent incident, against a cuffed woman no less, said incident was caught on camera & went public, *_and_* it happend barely two months of him being out of the academy, it's less likely that another department hired him. Then again, they _have_ hired worse.
What I really want to know is if he was charged, and found guilty, because this was a *_criminal_* investigation. Not simply policy & procedure.
Whats fked up is that every single cop standing around didnt even fkn flinch! Obviously this is normal behavior knowing they are be filmed by camera's!
That actually is rule number 1 Never act like a fellow officer is ever doing anything wrong.

I would ask the following questions:
From a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your ego...?????
Gotta keep interrogation smooth so he incriminates himself.
Standing by and doing nothing makes them ALL guilty !!!!!!!!
Damn right
Exactly. Their own Code of Conduct states they have a legally required 'Duty to Intervene' if they see an officer do anything illegal or inappropriate.
The fact they all ignored it and didnt stop him is crazy!! At least they reported it AFTER the fact...
She reported it
They didn’t report nothing she filed a complaint
Blue line comes first. Quit acting like you dont know.
They ignored it bc it’s probably a common occurrence.
A miracle
Being even-tempered and less emotional are requirements for this work, it's not for everyone.
Definitely not for him.
Need the patience of a grandma with the fortitude of a big poppa.
It shouldn't be for just anyone. Sadly, if you go thru training looks like anyone could be an officer. Cops need to be held to higher standards. Good job for the interviewer. He sounds like a good one, at least.
There's a lot of bodycam footage on YT demonstrating cops appropriately handling suspects who are out of control resistant, and it doesn't involve a beatdown. Wow.
Yeah, I agree. I watch a lot of these videos and the amount of restraint some of these officers have is commendable. They get hit, bit, kicked, spit on, peed on,called everything but their names, are threatened and provoked WAY worse than what this young lady was doing and they are able to shake it off and stay professional

As someone born and raised and still living here in Jacksonville, this is not anything new. They just happened to get filmed

He's given the opportunity to ask questions and he cries and asks about his job. Not about the victim. He should spend time in jail.
Edit: all those officers watching should be fired and sued.
He got a sweetheart deal from the prosecutor -- he pled to simple battery, and got time served (one day in jail) and a $650 fine. The DA's office actually released a statement practically defending Borisade, noting the victim's lengthy criminal record -- which was totally irrelevant to the case -- and the fact that she was drunk, also irrelevant. She filed a lawsuit and, like 98% of all civil suits, it was settled for $92,000. I would have held out for a half mill, at least.
It's against policy to beat up a woman in handcuffs????? WTF????? 🤯
We need to change that policy immediately. Should be encouraged.

True enough, she was absolutely wrong for kicking him, but as an officer, you don’t continuously walk into a threat. I could see if she was actively coming at him but she’s in one spot. If you see she’s kicking when you get close, then you DON’T GET CLOSE. Or you get help and restrain her legs and feet but you don’t beat her repeatedly and try to refuse her medical attention because your ego is hurt. Talking about “she stepped over the line” man bye!
First night on her new job she gets drunk, sent home, arrested and beaten up by a horrible police officer. Terrible night for her and the police force.

Those other cops just stood and watched? What's what's wrong with people? You know this isn't the 1st time!
If he did THAT while all his fellow ops were standing there watching without fear of repercussions or consequences then it stands to reason that they all engage in that kind of behaviour and the whole station needs investigation and to be shut down and rebuilt. This is EXACTLY why civilians says: defund the police - and looking at this, I can’t blame them.
No, it makes you wonder what he’s done when nobody was watching.
"Civilians say defund the police". You mean communists.
That's exactly my point. If this is the stuff coming out and there is plenty of it you have to wonder what goes on when the camera isn't on.
Remember he did this knowing full well it's being recorded. It sends the message that this behaviour is Not uncommon, quite the opposite.
The public as a whole distrust and universally despise the police and for good reason. It is about time the police were held accountable for their actions and punished much much more severely than they are now. Even when they are caught some of the penaltys are an absolute joke. Corruption and power abuse appears to be ingrained in the police force from top to bottom. It isn't just the odd isolated incident and sadly it seems good officers that do their job with respect and integrity are the minority when it should be the other way around.
Perfectly stated
@@einsp227It ALSO makes one wonder that

They need to fire the other cops who are sworn to protect yet stood by & watched an assault while on duty. He was a newer officer & clearly learned that behavior from them. No way would a rookie do that in front of other officers if it wasn’t the usual everyday climate.

The snot snorting alone is an offense itself
He’s a liar. They cuffed her instead of letting her go is why she got upset. They needed to let her go home by taxi or call a friend to drive her home not cuff her. I really do not believe they gave her that option like he’s saying they did. I believe they just quickly cuffed her. But it’s just what I think. Too bad we all don’t really know the whole story as we only have that abusive cops side of the story
The reason she was arrested/cuffed in the first place was because she refused to leave and go home. Just saying.
@@jimdeadlock oh you mean she refused to leave the premises because b4 they arrested her they found her outside and She explained that they kicked her out.
But she explained why she refused to leave ands it was because her belongings were still inside but they cuffed her anyways after they gave her her belongings not sure at that point if it’s true that they cuffed her because she refused to leave the premises after they gave her her stuff because were not getting her side of the story
Context - Former Jacksonville probationary patrol officer Akinyemi Borisade reached a plea deal that allows him to avoid getting a criminal record for beating a woman who was handcuffed and in police custody. He's fresh from the academy and he already beat the crap out of a woman who was handcuffed so I could only imagine how his behavior towards suspects would be in the future, and all those other officers that just stood around and watched and did nothing should also be held accountable aswell. This ain't nothing new he probably beats his wife at home seeing how comfortable he was beating that woman while her hands were cuffed!! The big tough cop then, a crybaby now.
The Investigator for eternal affairs was very nice, direct and straight to the point. B the bad cop wasn't even man enough to answer any of his questions, which bothered me but was way to immature to handle being what it takes to be an officer of the law and look out for fellow citizens. If he would've kept his job I would have given up on the system. Can't believe they didn't say he didn't pick up any charges himself. The victim may have not pressed chargers. She probably had given him the first reality check of his life. Interesting information obtained from this investigation..
The question should be asked, if there were no cameras, would we be in here talking about this situation.
I’ve heard some 🐂💩 responses, this one is totally false, force is accessed by degrees of response and never applied to Restrained Suspects!!! The totality of the crime, state of mind (impairment), and threat level!!! Drunk, impaired & handcuffed, FAIL! 💩💩💩💩💩
Please keep an eye out on the case of Dakota Stevens who was a ten year old boy who was tragically unalived by his foster mom outside of their home in Valparaiso Indiana. Investigation is ongoing but multiple reports of her sitting on Dakota in the front yard.
He punched her like 5 times lmao. That was crazy I see why he got fired. Now if he’s in a relationship and his girl kicks him is he going to punch her like that? He needs more then getting fired he needs to be put in anger management
