Thank you for this video. It was so helpful in knowing where to stay at the Grand Canyon. I actually called in and requested the cabin number you referenced in the video. They couldn't promise it, but did note it on our reservation. When we checked in, we were so happy, they assigned the cabin we requested. Was a great trip, cabin was very nice and being that close to the trail on the rim was perfect. Thank you again!

Wow, what a great place to stay! I went to the Grand Canyon for the first time 13 years ago. My cousins from Paris wanted to go there when they visited us in California in August, so of course everything was full. The closest I could find 2 hotel rooms was 1 hour drive from the south rim! When we saw this hotel, I thought I'd like to stay there some time.
Yes we got very lucky and found this place about 10 days out from a cancellation! We hope you get to stay in one of these south rim cabins at the Grand Canyon one day ☺️
You guys legitimately had the exact same cabin as us. Gosh such a great hotel!
Yes we loved the beautiful view out of the front window! And the secret parking space out front 😉
@@HollyandAndrew that parking spot came in clutch so many times for us. Honestly we will request that room again if we ever stay there.

@@richardjacques1731 Hey Richard. You know.. That... is an excellent question. I had no idea what the Bucky O'neil cabin is. I consulted my good friend Google and it looks like, no, this is not that cabin. The Bucky O'neil cabin is at the south rim of the Grand Canyon and doesn't look like it's a cabin guests can stay in. It looks to be more of an historic building you can tour.
I spent 12 days in Arizona in October 2023 and bright angel lodge was by far the worst hotel I stayed in. It’s an absolute dump. The carpets are filthy, the walls are paper thin and you can hear absolutely everything your neighbors saying. it was a cool night and you could feel the breeze moving through the room. The windows and doors have huge gaps in them which is probably why there was a huge spider in the bathroom the morning I woke up. All this for $275 a night.. the only good thing about this place is that it’s in the park, but I wouldn’t stay there again if you gave me the place for free..
I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I guess we're thankful ours turned out so good! And maybe they've been renovated since you stayed?!
