EXCELLENT video!I've watched several of your videos on the GC.All are great, but this was the one I needed most.I was hoping to find some "cheap" roadside motels in or around Tusayan, but I'm coming to realize they don't seem to exist past Williams. Thanks for your time and efforts!
As always another good video with lots of information. We already have a camp site booked for our trip, but the shuttle info was new to me and helpful. Thanks again for sharing. Can't wait to get there. But first, Yellowstone in 13 days. 👍
Another great video. El Tovar has been accomodating Einstein, Paul McCartney and me! 😁 I have stayed there once and twice at Kachina Lodge with canyon view.
Great information! I watched the North Rim video before I watched this one. Since I am our vacation planner, I preferred the North Rim to the South Rim. (Ten percent sounds good to me!) Though this video gave lots of information, my mind is unchanged. The North Rim it will be!
Hey guys, coming from Nate as a fellow RUclipsr. Cheering you on and supporting you! It was so interesting to hear about you guys (and great idea from Nate). I loved it because I'm not in my 20s either and I travel the world making RUclips videos. OK, I know you don't travel the world, but we share the passion for travel. However, what I didn't quite get is how you decided on topics. I ask because I'm doing videos about escaping 9-5, steps and mindset, but I don't do travel videos, I'm not a travel vlogger and don't want to be, but maybe I should add a bit of travel or at least location names, since I shoot from gorgeous locations but always on valuable topics.....not about travel per se.... So I still wonder how you nailed your topics Great stuff and so well done!
Hey Rachel, thanks for cheering us on!! You asked where we got our ideas for topics. Mostly we try to think about what people would want to know when planning a trip, so that’s where we start. But we also get many ideas from the comments from the videos. If we see some recurring questions or topics, that’s an indicator to us we should do something on it. But I am also a history teacher and I am trying to do more than just nuts and bolts, but try to bring stories into our videos. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Lol.
@@WereintheRockies Interesting! Thank you for replying. I'm a teacher too, but culture diversity in international business (at university). I'm into freedom of the 9-5 and I do travel full-time but never have videos about traveling.... I'm not sure if I should change topics a bit. Have you changed topics a bit since you started? Adding story is KEY these days for sure!
Woman I work at all the hotels in the Grand Canyon village and the 6 people family you can compare rooms. There’s doors you can unlock a door to open up to the other room. And half of your info is incorrect btw
@@WereintheRockies Oh ! that is when I arrive at Arizona state ; as a poor Indian senior citizen , it is beyond my dreams ; also , according to what information I have , we cannot wander about casually there , as we do in India . However , I would try to visit once , if I had enough money ; but I must thank u for the information u have given .
Very bad experience with Yapavai lodge. Very rude when u try to talk to them about your concerns on your booking. They just want u to stay and book but dont ask. Very rude telephone operator.

Just realized we will be in Teton the same time you’re in Yellowstone, I think.
Wow, 13 days!!!
@@WereintheRockies Well, enjoy your trip. I know I'm going to have a blast.

I am a server at El Tovar and parking is a nightmare.
Great Video! THANK YOU! Traveling to GCNP very soon! :)
It would be nice to know the number of the cabin.
Can you use a generator at Mather?
Generators can be used during specific times, see www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/upload/mather-campground-bulletin.pdf

Main questio is , how to reach Grand Canyon .
The closest airport is Flagstaff, Arizona. You will need to rent a car and drive to the canyon from there.

Sorry you had a bad experience but thanks for sharing.
13 months out for reservations??? THat's nuts. Now, 2 years later, it's 3 weeks out. That's all.
