Can’t wait for mine to arrive! i bought 1 at artem strap watches. It does look amazing on a strap! Can’t believe it took me forever to try it on a strap. 😂
Looks like you've gotta case of extended male end links. 😁 You could continue to get leather straps, which has obviously solved the issue... Or, you could look for aftermarket 19mm metal bracelets with Female end links. 😉 They just might work too. 😁
I’ve requested for a Matt green leather strap from Longines since their blue one only comes with the blue heritage classic. Ooh, can’t wait to swap both longines and citizen with it!
This is the same reason that I probably won't get neither the NB1050 and the NB6021. Both are dream watches in terms of specs. Both are 9/10 in design for me. However, their ridicolous lug to lug distances with male end links that lie flat, in the plane of the caseback, completely disqualify them from ever being bought by me. Who even has a 50mm completely flat top of their wrist? Sumo wrestlers? Steve from Minecraft? I don't know what citizen is thinking really with these male end-links that don't curve down properly, but who's points of articulation sits in the plane of the caseback. You might find lugs and end links that curve down properly on some watches, like the heritage/classic GS 9F models, the Seiko SARY057, or even Citizens good old BN0150 (there is also a bracelet version of it). But every watch should in reality do this in my opinion
Hi there, really want to pull the trigger on the Citizen but the lug to lug measurements is a major concern for me as I have 6inch wrists. Can't try them on either since its a JDM model so its quite a big gamble. So planning to buy a leather strap as well, or maybe buying a third party bracelet which will hopefully fit better, since I would like the option to alternate between bracelet and straps. Do you think a third party bracelet is viable for a 6inch wrist?
Yup, just make sure that you buy a female end link bracelet. But i have a friend who has a 6” wrist, and he didn’t change the bracelet and is fine with it. Message me on instagram, i’ll send you the pictures of the watch on his wrist. It might help you decide.
The citizen looks good on the strap. Fits perfectly too. You could add even more class with a plain calf or alligator strap in black or brown. P.S. for the Longines, WatchGecko and Forstner make some great quality odd lug width bracelets with universal straight end links that may or may not be too your liking. I have one on my Longines Flagship Heritage and it looks and feels fantastic.
Hey Mr whinger, thanks. I’ve looked and looked at all the options i can choose from. But i ended up deciding on getting a leather strap from longines, but i’m still waiting for it to be available. I opted for the Matt green calf leather strap, a bit pricey but at least i’m sure that i’ll like it since i have the same leather just different colour on my longines heritage and i can interchange them. But thanks for the suggestion! 👊
Hey , would you say it wears smaller on a strap , let’s say compared to a Hamilton kfa 38mm or maybe Seiko baby alpinist ? Thank you , I really think it looks way better on a black strap than the bracelet
I have the alpinist spb117 which is 39.5mm, and if i compare it to the citizen on a black leather strap - the citizen wears much smaller, considering that it’s already smaller at 38mm. Having a black strap on the citizen also brings out the beauty of the white dial! I agree that it’s best suited with a black strap, and even a green one!
Looks very classy with the strap! Wondering if you would be open to selling the Citizen bracelet if you no longer need it? Looking to try a bracelet for my NB1060-12L
Can i live with it on a bracelet? Big NO😂 i’m never wearing this citizen on a bracelet ever again! 😂 but you’re asking me hard questions now haha i’ve never seen that aq4080-52L in person but it sure is a hundred punches above the citizen nb1050-59a. I can’t answer that directly,John. ‘Cause i like both of them. 😂 a deciding factor for me would be the price difference. But i’d still be confused and probably get both!
I did the same with my Citizen NB1050 black dial. In Amazon I found a grey suede leather strap that goes really well with the black dial. I like it a lot more than the bracelet!
😁 i ordered a matt green leather strap, hopefully it compliments the watch. But i’ll never go back to the bracelet for the citizen. Looks so good on a leather strap.
I know! And it feels like having a brand new watch. I’m currently deciding if i’ll try to change my diver watches on a strap, and still looking for a good one. I might go for Artem straps.
Thanks,Anton! Personally, i find it hard to look for a custom leather strap but 1 friend suggested “Tunsleather”. Check it out, there are generous options for customisation. And i’m not Singaporean. 😊
@@gullie9004 I am sorry for the wild guess about your nationality 😅😅😅 I live in Indonesia and there are several good quality custom leather strap makers here.. I thought the condition would be the same in wherever you are right now
@@antonius0809 😂 that’s fine, i’m from the Philippines but i’m currently residing in Australia(Western Australia) it’s not an easy task to find a good leather strap, so online shops are the 1st option. And it’s a bit harder to decide when you can’t personally try them.
I purchased the Citizen OEM black Cordovan leather strap from the NB1060 for my NB1050. It looks great!

I had that Citizen, bought it because it was described elsewhere as white dial. It’s actually silver though.
Looks white to me.

Could you live with this on the bracelet? Or should I save up and go with the Citizen AQ4080-52L 😮. What’s my learned friend’s advice??😅.
