Yea dude honestly I like most of the tag line up over omega and Cartier , it does boil down to what you want, I seem to like every tag has in the line up , I Also like some tudors , and Rolex is great , but I’m loving tag over many brands they are top 3 for me, the glass box is cool it’s new and different, it’s just a lot more interesting, than most chronos.
I bought a Heuer in 69’ . Now, 55 years later I bought the Blue Glass Box. Gift from my Wife on my 70th. No , as in NO rotor noise at all. I do agree about the weak lume. I can not take mine off. Fine vid! So far running at 3.01 sec. per day fast. I am sorry to hear of your terrible TAG experience. Now I REALLY feel fortunate!
@@jazzman5598 you are fortunate! But after that Unfortunate event of taking the watch back multiple times, it hasn’t given me any problems since and rotor sounds normal now. :)
Honestly it's so freaking beautiful! I have my 41mm '16 Carrera Calibre 5 and I am enamoured with this watch and equally cannot pick between reverse panda and the blue dial! seeing yours on the bracelet though(my 41mm is on the bracelet although I regularly swap out to a blue croc strap) really gives you that duality of 60's Carrera with the modern day sports chrono!
It’s a hard decision picking either one of the blue or reverse panda, but for me, the reverse panda will be a sure longer lasting classic design. And the bracelet compliments it! But if you have the chrono calibre 5, maybe go with the opposite dial color for the glassbox carrera!😎
Awesome watch, I'll be having one of those soon as well. Just trying to decide between the blue, black and now the green as well. I had a 44mm carrera chronograph and literally the day i brought it home, i dropped it and cracked the ceramic (it was a BIG drop) and also made winding the watch really grindy. i really damaged it. Took it back to Tag Heuer Perth and they took it off me, repaired it perfect new working order and did it all under warranty within 2 weeks which they were under no obligation to do. Tag Heuer Perth is my favourite watch shit and my favourite to visit, the staff and customer service is next level.
I’ve just seen the green one and it looks amazing, especially having the date at 9 o’clock. Good luck in deciding! It’s a hard one😅 they’re all exceptional. And i do agree taht Tag Perth has one of the best teams when it comes to customer service. The team there is amazing! I’m glad your 44mm carrera got fixed immediately! And that makes me go back to Perth’s Tag boutique, their team is the best. 👊
Thanks for sharing. I have the same beautiful watch! Now thinking about the skipper a lot. I have a blue Carrera calibre 16 that I purchased at the AD years ago. It died the same day I purchased! Went back to the AD and they gave me a steep discount for a replacement. Have been enjoying it ever since w no issues. Hey, things happen sometimes but still love the brand.
Hey, thanks for sharing too! That made me feel better. 👊 mine’s apparently getting a “partial maintenance” and performance check. I just want it to work properly, really. Can’t wait to get it back! Glad to know someone else loves the brand! 😎
@@behonestwithyourself3718 try asking if they can include the bracelet. :) ‘cause i think it looks really great on the bracelet. If they say No then at least you tried.
Looks really good on the stainless strap. I’m a total sucker for reverse panda dials especially from brands like Zenith, Breitling and Tudor. This is definitely on my short list. Can’t decide on this or a Rolex 16622 Yachtmaster.
It’s a stunner but for $6500 it should work right, and as advertised at 80 hours. I have 2 tags, a Carrera and Aquaracer , both same basic 3 hand. I love the designs of the watches but I think I am done since most of the QC has gone down significantly, my 2023 AR the date position on the crown sometimes doesn’t “get into that gear” and k have to push in and out to get it to move the date. Been in service 1x under warranty and still has the same issue. My regular Carrera with the ETA2824 is running fine and never an issue (knock on wood). I would opt for the black bay Chrono over this and I am not really a Tudor guy.
Congrats for the video and for the watch! Since i'm also getting this great piece soon, i'd like to ask you if the bracelet you showed in the video comes originally with the watch or if it is from an other piece of Carrera collection. If it's like that, can you please indicate the model nr. of the bracelet? Thank you in advance 👍
Thanks! The bracelet is from a 39mm Carrera date, i’m not sure what or if there is a model number for the bracelet since it was given to me for free when i bought the watch. And it’s also not sold online but i’m sure you can buy it together with the watch or maybe ask if they can give you one, there’s no harm in asking. :)
Just as i suspected it was from the Carrera date! Thanks man, i'll definitely ask my AD to add the bracelet since it looks superb, as well as it's with the racing strap, but more versatile! @@gullie9004
Mine don't make that sound buddy seriously it could be that the rotor is loose, also trying winding it fully so the weight tightens up, again I just checked mine to make sure and it's a faint sound but when wounded even half it's not that audible
Gorgeous and by far the best looking chrono out there right now IMO…but there’s no excuse for the movement problems. This is technology that hasn’t changed in over 50 years and works just fine in watches costing less than half this price. If you’re not paying for quality, what are you paying for?
The people who are advising you not to get a Tag are probably stuck in the past when it comes to their knowledge of the brand.
It actually never affected how i felt about Tag Heuer, i guess ‘cause i’ve always admired it.

New Tag Heuer has been killing it lately. All the variations of this chrono are brilliant.
Man you have such great taste. Another wonderful addition to the collection.
Thanks, John! 🙂
Best watch of 2023.

Beautiful watch
have an aquaracer and a skipper myself, but oh boy the reverse panda definitely looks lustrous too 😍

Great watch
I have a Tag Gulf, blue, great watch love it.
Love the 12 O'clock date.
It looks so goof with the bracelet tho. I personally would get another model with at least 42mm.

I did, but i got it for free. I believe it’s around $450 Aud.

Hi. What is the lug-to-lug width of the model? I have bought one and would like to test different straps on it.
Lug width is 20mm. Artem straps is a good one, this watch goes well with almost any strap color.

What’s the date?? Ahh the perfect excuse to use the chrono 😊
😂 haha yup, that’s exactly what’s gonna happen! 😂
Can you confirm the lug width? Ive seen reviews saying it's 21, some saying 20, and tag says 20.7mm.
@@maximoplf well, to be exact. It is 20.7 mm :) but a 20mm strap fits perfectly.

😂 Uniqlo!
Rotor noise is a deal breaker for me.
Understandable 🙃
I went to the store, after trying it on I ended up not buying since it wears tiny on my 7.5inch wrist.
I agree, in person, it still looks tiny on my 6.5” wrist. What more on a 7.5” . 😀
still like my 1887 more :)
Other than way too much polish it is a rockstar!!
