A watch that made all the headlines for the right reasons. We're looking at this watch as a "TAG Heuer" and not just "Heuer", and their whole approach of giving us a Modern watch with tonnes of Classic nuances. Easily one of my favourite releases of the year and one of the nicest looking Reverse Panda Dial Chronographs we've had in a long time. What do you think? 🥃
The reason this watch is so good is that it represents both sides of the brand - a modern, in-house chronograph movement combined with the proportions and legibility of a 60s Jack Heuer-era Carrera. Previous heritage models never managed this - I owned a 2017 Autavia and, whilst it looked good from a distance, it had the finesse and dimensions of a brick. This is definitely a step in the right direction
You are 100% correct. Tag Heuer got me interested in watches also. My first “nice” watch, not sure I’d call it luxury😁, was a tag professional 200m quartz with the link bracelet…loved it
I may get some flack for this but I've made up my mind, I am going to pick this up over the SpeedMaster Professional. I've always looked at the speedy as this great value proposition and thought it and the Zenith Chronomaster to be the definitive chronographs in said price range. However, there was always something about the speedy that didn't fully mesh with me and I have thin wrists so 39mm is much more preferable than 42mm. This just has that perfect charm and quirkiness to it and It just gives me that feeling, that so called "it" factor. Sometimes we have to choose what the heart wants rather than the mind and that is the feeling this beautiful piece is giving me.
I feel you here. As much as the Speedy Pro is fantastic, there is one drawback that bugs me... manual wind. I'm finding more and more that having to wind a watch daily has me constantly on edge. SO! Ideal chrono for me is one that's slim, great size, well built, contrasty and automatic 😉 Get what you mean entirely 🥃
Good decision😊....Lots of people bay brands, not particiular watch..... Speedmaster is good watch, but has alsow minus.... Alsow, at this moment, price for Omega speedmaster is absurdal.....
Thank you for explaining the date at “12”. I love the reverse panda too but didn’t get why they put the date there. I didn’t realize the historical significance of it. Now I like it even more! Great video as always!! 👏👏👏 Now it’s between this and Hanhart flyback chrono in 39!
Great video and discussion! This new glass box joins the Monza as models I’m actually excited about from Tag Heuer. Glad to see them progressing toward classy and exciting designs like this.
Just had a chance to see one in the metal. Both blue with date window at six and black with date at twelve. Partial to the black with a sober and well conceived placement of elements on dial especially the attention to the scale right at the border of the crystal using every millimeter of space at dial edge. Still digesting the date placement but it works and love that it is present serving duty. After feeling sticker shock post W&W 2023, subjectively I think there is value here for an integrated chronograph with great feeling in hand…a great first impression.
Great video, I have two weeks with my CBS2210 black dial and I love it. I do have more expensive watches but like you mentioned I admired Tag Heuer early on way back in the 80s. The caliber TH20 also got some upgrades over the H02. I would like to add that the caliber TH20 like the prior H02 movement can be worn with the chronograph hand running in sync with the small seconds in this way the date would be totally visible with zero wear and tear due to the design of the vertical clutch and low parts count of around 170 components which is low for a chronograph.
I still have my 1st watch . I was new (1969) as was the watch. I could have bought the Tri-Compax at Zales with my entire 2 week pay check but Zales Jewelers in New Orleans wanted $95.00 for that one and all I got paid was $75.00 so I bought a Bi-Compax Baylor watch instead. It has a bi-directional friction bezel….a world timer. Baylor was the Zales brand name for Heuer chronographs. I was 15 and sure I would become a pilot one day. Made it to 40, had the mid-life thing and went on to become a SAR Pilot for a Texas squadron of CAP. Funny world. I am looking for my grail as I come into 70. This Heuer is looking goooooood! Great vid! Thanks

I’d like to own a Carrera once. I have this childhood memory of weekends spent with my dad. Sundays after lunch we watched Formula 1 and the Tag Hauer name was all over the place at that time. It was all good. Reminds me of a careless, and happier time of my life. Offtopic.: In the background is it a Martin D-18 or a 28?
Man, Tag Heuer through the early 2000's... I remember my house booming watching Hakkinen, Schumacher... all those boys. What a time for F1 🥃 AND it's a D-28 Reimagined from 2017 ;)
My first watch was an Aquaracer automatic chronograph, calibre 16. I think it was about 2007 when I bought it. The new Carrera chronograph is a lovely watch, will try it on this week.
I bought one online from Tag's website. Easy and fast shipping (as it should be). I had always loved vintage Heuer but they were obviously a fortune and this was the model that got me to buy my first TAG. The watch is gorgeous and not enough praise can be given to the actual "glassbox design" including the sloping dial. And I must be really lucky because the watch has been within a second or two of dead on for a week. I love it and I think I might be inclined to suggest someone choose it over a Speedmaster, if they were looking at chronographs in that price range. I think they're on par with one another from an overall build quality point of view.
100% with you. I tried this on and everything just works. I can’t think of another modern watch that blends heritage and innovation. It’s the first TAG that really earns its place on the dial since their initial Monaco revision.
@@quarters-eye8922 this watch says otherwise. So do the watches Heuer made in the years leading up to the buyout, which were generally awful after after the 70s. The TAG Heuer Formula 1 was a huge hit that not only saved the Heuer brand, but made it relevant to a new generation. I think a LOT of the TAG Heuer releases have been tacky, oversized and overpriced, but there have always been great models in the mix. This new Carrera is the best I've seen them do in terms of blending past and present, tastefully updating an icon rather than lazily reissuing it.
As always a great video. I appreciate how you did not jump on the bandwagon and bash the company. We have all taken mis-steps. None of us get out of here without scars...jus say'n Yes you're correct, as I got bit by the watch bug when I saw my first TAG. I had the quartz Formula F-1 , worked all summer mowing lawns to get it. When the i wore it for the first time in the neighborhood, I was top dog for a while :) I agree with you that a good chrono has to be legible, and from what I see TAG has always known that. I think I should slow down and take a look at one.
Great video. I think the Glassbox was one of my favorite watches from Watches & Wonders 2023. I would go with the reverse panda also. That quirky date at the 12 does add quite a bit of charm and character to the watch, besides the many other design details and overall aesthetics. Indeed, my first luxury watch brand I personally through down my money on was a TAG Heuer. I still remember it the day in 1995 when I walked into a watch shop in Hong Kong and picked it out, based on design and what cash I had on me to afford. It was a 36-37mm (I'm still not clear what the exact size was to this day, I get mixed numbers when researching) white dial black bezel quartz dive watch. It may have looked like a typical dive watch based on Rolex Submariner design. But, I didn't know it at the time, it had a particular twist being the round and baton markers were reversed on the dial. Round at the 9 & 6. Batons at all others, minus the date window at 3 and of course a triangle at the 12. I would say natural for me to gravitate to a non-standard classic design format. Anyways, that was my main watch for about 12 years. I had gone without a TAG Heuer for quite some time since late 2007. Most recently, I decided to get another TAG Heuer because it meant something special to me. I purchased a new Aquaracer Solargraph in Titanium. It sort of goes back to my first TAG Heuer purchase, a quartz dive watch, but this time with modern improvements being solar powered and in titanium. And, the design this time is completely original. It's a damn pricey watch. But, I love it and it's a luxury product from a well-known and world renowned brand with long history.
Great piece ID Guy 👌 You are so right to highlight this watch, and more importantly, it’s history. The Carrera is a hugely historical piece and deserves more love than it gets I suppose. That said, my hard earned money probably wouldn’t go the way of this watch. For me, it doesn’t hold a candle to my Speedmaster. Money no object? I’d definitely have one though 👍
I have what must have been the 40th birthday re issue CV 2113 Carrera chronograph had for 20 years. And through all the hatred that TAG Heuer has gotten over the last few years, this watch this design has always remained utterly beautiful, and that will never change.
Amazing how much of an impact the Carrera made (and still makes) also really dig your model - I've been eyeing them in the past 😉 Thanks for sharing this Sir! 🥃
Actually very true my first "luxury" was a Tag heuer followed by Carerra Skeleton Chronograph which looks like a hublot. It was at this point i started getting into watches.
Great review, and a very nice piece, Tag have been of my radar for a long time..but will definitely look at this. I quite like the blue dial, but each to their own lol
One of the few pieces that I constantly come back to and look at too. It's so impressive, has character and has a sense that its design will be relevant for decades 🔥
Amazing watch, I think Tag did a great release with that one. I tried the reverse panda with the date at 12 in a Tag boutique in Venice and it was fantastic. My first luxury watch was a Carrera 47 😁
I’m wearing my Hamilton Intramatic mechanical chronograph with reverse panda as I watch this and it has that super cool vintage motor sport vibe to it. It’s the one watch that makes me set aside my black bay 58 for a few days until I remember that the bb 58 is really my favorite but the reverse panda Hamilton is my second favorite. This tag looks great too but of course my Hamilton was a little more affordable😂
Such an exceptionally well balanced watch... I've been eyeing the Intramatic for years! Fantastic, fantastic shoutout to this piece 🔥 Think this is worth a video on its own soon enough 😉
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the Monza…and then there you are, mentioning it 😂 this watch would be $12k+ if it said “Rolex” on the dial; people need to appreciate the item on its own instead of what it can bring them at resale. Great video as usual. Cheers!
Yep. You've found another gem. What a beauty. Seems it would be more wearable than my old Speedy too.... need to research ha ha (Bb54 and OP36 still my top two though) P.s. just watched that advert.. brilliant.... genuinely non cheesy and very classy
How great was that ad? Not tacky at all - something tells me it's actually appealing to the enthusiast for a change 😆 And gotta say, as the weeks go by, the more the BB54 seems to squeeze itself in. With the sun coming out to play, it's an ideal size (small watch tan) plus having a timing bezel and being so slim... you just forget it's on. SUCH a killer lil piece 🥃
@@ID-Guy I'm pretty much sold man....if I get the OP36 call in the next year, I may have to... but otherwise my eye is on the BB54 ... I think it's predictable BUT as a main daily watch, it just ticks pretty much every box man! I mean the size, the crystal, the water resistance... it has EVERYTHING and I'll have to get it I think UNLESS they release a blue one with square hour markers? (I.e. the baby Pelagos.... That would be killer. Maybe even in Titanium...damn)
Such a great visual trick, a differentiator from all the other chronographs on the market. But… anyone else hoping for a no date option? I just feel it breaks the flow. Great job as always.
The date is what ties it all together for me, a nice unique touch to a modern design that looks effortless BUT I can understand why others might want a no-date. Ah, dig it! 🔥
If I’m being honest, I just can’t get past the name. I’ve imagined another name added to all of the other watch brands out there and it leaves me feeling the same way. The watches in your video are quite beautiful pieces though so it has to be the name. I do appreciate your presentation of these watches as I’m sure others will enjoy them immensely.
My first watch is a Tag Heuer, I bought it after many months of saving then. This brand is very close to my heart. The reverse panda has a lot depth in the dial , and the date at 12oclock is cleverly blended in the dial without intrusion. I love that
As always an amazing video! Online, the reverse panda is just beautiful and I was so excited to see it, but in the flesh it was a let down for me. The black on the dial isn’t as bold as it seems in pictures, the date doesn’t click into place when you change it so you need to position it carefully before securing the pusher and the numerals are so thin it’s quite hard to see. Also the pushers don’t have a solid ‘click’ feel when activating the chrono, they feel a bit flimsy. Visually I felt the blue dial piece had more presence.
It's a nice watch, but the original Carrera, the late 90s re-edition and the newer 39mm ltd editions, are still much cooler. I just hope they limit the Tag Heuer label to these models. Ok, ID Guy, you got me. I find both very nice. I would have to see the reverse panda live to judge how the date looks. The blue looks dressier, but it should look great with a tan or brown perforated strap
Nothing wrong with TAG Heuer. This is really great and love to own it in the future. My first luxury watch was a Aquaracer WAB2011, still love it to this day.
I remember buying my first ever luxury watch a Tag Heuer Formula 1 from Beaverbrooks back in 1992/93. And back then I also remember at the time everybody thought I was mad lol.
To be fair I was in my early 20s back then pal and it was Tags advertising in all the press etc and the different coloured rubber straps and watches they had in there Formula 1 range at the time that got me into them (Hello Swatch lol) I've had a couple of Aquaracers since then however I'm currently looking now at the new Monaco's? Having owned Tudor and Omegas etc I'm currently very very happy with my CW C65 Dune GMT LTD Edition watch. Now I'm older and probably a bit wiser too I just can't believe what value you get with CW they just blow the competition out of the water and are turning the luxury watchmarket upside down on its head! Pound for pound you just can't beat a CW watch. Enjoy your weekend. Keep up the good work and stay safe!👏
Excellent video as always. I have a soft spot for Heuer chronographs - the CS3111 1964 re-edition is a personal favourite, small minimalist with solid Lemania movement. However Tag Heuer often gets some of the details slightly off on their modern retro-inspired pieces, and this is another example. Having the Carrera name above the Tag logo looks odd to my eyes, and having the date at 12 o’clock is slightly annoying. It’s a watch that at first glance you think - ah, that’s a really handsome piece, but when you see these two elements, it feels like they were shoe-horned in with no rhyme or reason. There are too many TH pieces where design choices appear to have been made where a committee has sat down away from the creative folk and made decisions about what goes on the dial, and it shows.
I knew you'd be one of the few to pick up quickly on this one, second only to the JLC tribute chrono at W and W in my opinion. On my to look at list but a purchase would require a hefty discount for now. TAG still have a lot of bad recent history to get over.
And a great story is that the Autavia was the model used by racers at the time (even the ones in the 917 Porsche) but the Monaco was able to sneak its way onto the scene for the film... the rest is history 🥃
@@IDKline Hardly the same thing is it. NASA is a government agency and they're not selling you anything. (just like the marine national) Porsche is a retail product. It would be like Rolex doing an advert with someone playing a Fender with the occasional flash of a Rolex. It's how the focus is more on the 911 and not the watch
The new Glassboxes are amazing! My dad had a Heuer Chrono in the 80ies, so TAG Heuer has a positiv reputation for me. The reverse panda stands out to me as it is a unique new yet classic design. The blue to me is more contemporary, but beautiful as well.
Such a standout release from TAG this year... astoundingly good in fact. Just goes to show, no matter the make or model, a brand has to potential to blow us away. Thanks for sharing Mike! 🥃
You surprised me with this One. Very nice actually although if I had to choose a Tag I think it would be the Monza from 2016ish. Thanks for the great video yet again. 👍
I’ve tried this watch on over the holiday period and it was a nice fit. It does sit very flat on the wrist but I think it’s a fantastic watch. tag do get a very unfair press.
Is it safe to let the chrono hand run continuously all day? How would it effect the power reserve? Would doing so risk wearing down the gears or increasing the chance of damage from being banged around?
Truly sorry about this Anthony. I try my utmost to source where I find photos and 9/10 times they're accurate. The internet sometimes picks up photos and shares and replicates them under their own handles and so the origin gets muddied... Really do apologise for this one by not finding you as the original reference 🥃
Was genuinely enthusiastically expressed to me by a representative that TAG Heuer is looking to get back to their roots and also earn the "Techniques d'Avant Garde" moniker starting with this Carrera. They have a few more releases planned this year and the gentleman was kind enough to show me something under embargo atm that I might just pull the trigger on.
I quite like it, but as u referenced that Hodinkee video about the whole Carrera lineage, I gotto say I'd rather have almost any watch from that video, than this new Carrera. My main gripe with it is the 22mm lug width.
This vintage pieces were something else... and seeing the evolution of the pieces (think I've watched it about four times now) and you're right, the way the vintage pieces hit compared to the modern examples... completely differently 🥃 Alas, we can dream
Like many, my first luxury watch was a Tag Carrera Chrono as a 40th bday present. Even though it only gets wrist action on special nights out it will always be in my collection 😁
Having seen how gorgeous it is in real life, the only criticism I have is that I feel that it is too thick for its diameter. I feel with the thickness of the case a diameter of 40.5 to 41 mm would be perfect.
My first watch was a tag 25 years ago. I have bought several watches throughout the years. This watch made me love tag again so much I went out and bought it. Love it. Tag has always had a place for me. Wear what you like. This piece I liked.
TAG Heuer is now the horological home of the legendary Carol Forstier-Kasapi who serves as the Director of Movements after being involved in the development of the UN Freak and then 10 years +/- as the Director of Movements at Cartier. Heuer was during its heyday in the 1960s the horological home of the recently deceased Gerd Rudiger-Lang who went on to found the trailblazing Chronoswiss brand. If TH is permitted to become a movement/accuracy centric brand, people will come back. The inhouse Caliber 02 which was TH’s mea culpa for damage done by the intentional mislabeling of a Seiko derived movement as in-house was in some references such as the Carrera Twin Time skeltonized GMT chronograph bastardized by Hublot light designs initiated under the leadership of Jean-Claude Biver which was hurtful. The Carrera Glassbox is the kind of reference I have been waiting for from TH to serve as a modern complement to my 1973 Heuer chronograph. The Glassbox is a much better vehicle for the roll out of the Caliber 02 than some of the prior TH references that offered the Caliber 02. As Grand Seiko has proven convincingly, great movements and dials are what ultimately serve as the foundation for a hot brand.
Saw this in the metal and it was a little disappointing. Looked gold accented in some spots even though there was no actual gilting. But the 39mm size was spot on, absolutely wonderful. I wish Tag would re-release the recent limited edition Heuer Carreras as regular models.
Thank you for sharing this Sanghoon! I'd be very interested to see one of these in the metal AND it is a pity that they only give these Anniversary models out as "Limited Editions" - no idea why they can't make them into regular production models today 🥃
I don't think one should call the 2010s Autavia and Monza chronos "reissues". They're rather reinterpretations. And the "glassbox" moniker has now been used for years for the Heuer-only 39mm H02 Carreras.
@@ID-Guy I have that awesome experience to come tonight…..amidst the dubious pleasure of a “ Eurovision “ fancy dress party . Perhaps the watches are part of his costume…..
I'm not sure why it's called the glass box when as far as I know the crystal is Plexiglas. It was love at first sight when I saw it at watches and wonders. Curious that it has a sapphire exhibition window. Those beautifully sculpted pushers are also a huge pull, a corny way to put it, I know. Hope you nab yourself one at some point. BTW, Swiss Watches Direct are the way to go.
Great thought-provoking points about a great watch design - I agree it may well be the stand-out offering from W&W - and I see where you’re coming on the TAG thing. But…there’s no getting away from the long-standing association with certain types of people typically in certain occupations saying something like “I’ve got a new TAG” that has made the ‘TAG’ moniker achingly uncool. Over the four decades since Heuer lost its independence, TAG has come to mean Tasteless And Gaudy. Let’s be honest, if the clock could be turned back no-one would impose the TAG branding on Heuer now. But LVMH has decided to double down with the TAG Heuer branding, and they’ seemingly can’t put a foot wrong atm, so what do I know! It’s still a great design.
Great review of a great watch but the problem with every Tag Heuer is that you can buy a watch for much less with a better movement. And from Top brands.
@@quarters-eye8922 I kid you not. I’m not a lover of “sports” watches. Field/Aviation are more my bag. Maybe it’s an age thing, this time piece evokes motor racing glamour, McQueen/Newman/Lauda/Hunt.

Yes you're correct, as I got bit by the watch bug when I saw my first TAG. I had the quartz Formula F-1 , worked all summer mowing lawns to get it. When the i wore it for the first time in the neighborhood, I was top dog for a while :)
I agree with you that a good chrono has to be legible, and from what I see TAG has always known that.
Fabulous release. Tag Heuer have undoubtedly learnt of the need to separate Tag and Heuer, and it is working
This doesn't feel like a separation of TAG and Heuer so much as the first time they've properly integrated the two.
This is the watch that I can’t stop thinking since w&w.
Another 80%er 😉That Dato12 model man... it just keeps looking better and better as time goes by! Thank you for sharing brother! 🥃
Yup. .I'm definitely one of the 80% that got into watches from Tag playing a part.
Weird how that's the case, right? Somehow, some way, TAG got us into this hobby (even if we didn't realise it 😆)
I’m wearing my Hamilton Intramatic mechanical chronograph with reverse panda as I watch this and it has that super cool vintage motor sport vibe to it.
Mate. Tuning in from Northern Ireland. Love your stuff. ‘Keep her lit’
Fantastic to see you brother and thank you for taking the time to watch the clip! 🥃
I have a Tag Heuer Carrrera, and other Tag Heuer watches, they are great quality and accurate time keepers, along with my Tudor collection 👍
Seems it would be more wearable than my old Speedy too.... need to research ha ha (Bb54 and OP36 still my top two though)
P.s. just watched that advert.. brilliant.... genuinely non cheesy and very classy
I mean the size, the crystal, the water resistance... it has EVERYTHING and I'll have to get it I think
UNLESS they release a blue one with square hour markers? (I.e. the baby Pelagos....
Ah, dig it! 🔥
@@ID-Guy perhaps a big-date complication to allow for dial placement symmetry but also legibility…but then the vintage enthusiasts may shudder
Love it, 39mm, 13mm, 47mm, sounds really appealing, I need to try it in person
Some verrrry interesting specs all round! 🥃
@@ID-Guy Indeed, finally a chrono that does not feel like a weapon.
I saw the blue one…it’s beautiful.
Yeah, its a pretty good looking watch. I kind of like the blue.
TAG being tagged on? I get where you're coming from. Like FedEx Omega... DHL Rolex... doesn't really work too well 😆
My first watch is a Tag Heuer, I bought it after many months of saving then. This brand is very close to my heart. The reverse panda has a lot depth in the dial , and the date at 12oclock is cleverly blended in the dial without intrusion. I love that
Another 80%er 😉 Agree with you Tom, they crushed it with the callbacks and detail - rare to see on a new model and not a reissue 🥃
0:18 guilty. Those chain link bracelets blew my mind in the 90s.
This is watch of the year imho
My fist luxury watch is a Monaco Heuer .. second is a BB58, third orient bambino in yellow metal, and I really want this glassbox !!
A really excellent video about a lovely watch. A I am not a Tag Heuer enthusiast I will keep my further thoughts to myself.
Nothing wrong with TAG Heuer. This is really great and love to own it in the future. My first luxury watch was a Aquaracer WAB2011, still love it to this day.
Another 80%er 😉 TAG is really making a mark again (loved their entire approach this year) 🔥
Same here. If I didn’t already have a new watch waiting for me when I return home, i would ask my ad about this one. Possibly next year.
@@ThD040 Black Bay 54? Kidding 😉
@@ID-Guy no, Rolex Explorer Rolesor.
I remember buying my first ever luxury watch a Tag Heuer Formula 1 from Beaverbrooks back in 1992/93. And back then I also remember at the time everybody thought I was mad lol.
Another one of those 80%er's 😉 TAG has always been there in the background 🥃
I really have a soft spot to tag. My fave is the monaco but these are looking goog
They've always been kicking around the background and it's great to see them getting the coverage with this awesome new collection 🔥
Yeah love seeing them get some recognition for this finally
Underrated watch company who will hit their stride again as younger buyers reject the “old man” image of Rolex and Omega!
Thanks for video. Beautiful watch. TH have smashed it.
I never gave a 2nd look at watches until seeing goslings stuff with Tag and now I want one (but can't afford one)
it has that stop watch look which is killer!!!
I knew you'd be one of the few to pick up quickly on this one, second only to the JLC tribute chrono at W and W in my opinion. On my to look at list but a purchase would require a hefty discount for now. TAG still have a lot of bad recent history to get over.
That JLC Chrono this year... another one of the top ten releases. And all well said about prices and reputation 🥃
Not only Tag heuer. All brands has,, dark moments,,.....
@@adamadamski3011 Tag has dark years. 😉
I just love the Monaco in this brand ..it’s more iconic ..a unique looking piece ..
Steve McQueen all the way !
And a great story is that the Autavia was the model used by racers at the time (even the ones in the 917 Porsche) but the Monaco was able to sneak its way onto the scene for the film... the rest is history 🥃
Spot on !!
Nice video mate 🥃
Thank you as always brother! Hope you're well 🥃
It's more of a Porsche advert. To me that speaks volumes. I cant imagine any other watch brand pulling in help from an established icon
Given the choice, we'd always, ALWAYS choose the Car 😉
@@IDKline Hardly the same thing is it. NASA is a government agency and they're not selling you anything. (just like the marine national) Porsche is a retail product.
It would be like Rolex doing an advert with someone playing a Fender with the occasional flash of a Rolex.
It's how the focus is more on the 911 and not the watch
That panda is lovely 👍
They knew what they were doing this year, no doubt 🥃
The new Glassboxes are amazing! My dad had a Heuer Chrono in the 80ies, so TAG Heuer has a positiv reputation for me. The reverse panda stands out to me as it is a unique new yet classic design. The blue to me is more contemporary, but beautiful as well.
Such a standout release from TAG this year... astoundingly good in fact. Just goes to show, no matter the make or model, a brand has to potential to blow us away. Thanks for sharing Mike! 🥃
Excellent!
That reverse panda dial, very nice
Hi, i found a 2017 autavia chrono discounted for 40%, do you still recommend that watch to this date? Or i will get the glassbox?
You surprised me with this One. Very nice actually although if I had to choose a Tag I think it would be the Monza from 2016ish. Thanks for the great video yet again. 👍
I’ve tried this watch on over the holiday period and it was a nice fit. It does sit very flat on the wrist but I think it’s a fantastic watch. tag do get a very unfair press.
Is it safe to let the chrono hand run continuously all day? How would it effect the power reserve? Would doing so risk wearing down the gears or increasing the chance of damage from being banged around?
Given the wrong credit to the JH80th Carrera at the start of video. That photo belongs to me. Great video though. Very enjoyable.
Truly sorry about this Anthony. I try my utmost to source where I find photos and 9/10 times they're accurate. The internet sometimes picks up photos and shares and replicates them under their own handles and so the origin gets muddied... Really do apologise for this one by not finding you as the original reference 🥃
Always looks great
Was genuinely enthusiastically expressed to me by a representative that TAG Heuer is looking to get back to their roots and also earn the "Techniques d'Avant Garde" moniker starting with this Carrera.
Another 80%er 😉 Thanks for sharing Gary! 🥃
Having seen how gorgeous it is in real life, the only criticism I have is that I feel that it is too thick for its diameter. I feel with the thickness of the case a diameter of 40.5 to 41 mm would be perfect.
Great …watch and video
Maaaaan… Back on 04/05, A Carrera was the grail… Oh how the watch snob in me has changed.
My first watch was a tag 25 years ago. I have bought several watches throughout the years. This watch made me love tag again so much I went out and bought it. Love it. Tag has always had a place for me. Wear what you like. This piece I liked.
Thanks for the education. 😎👍🏼
My pleasure to share as always Doug. Thank you brother 😉
I did. With a quartz Aquaracer
Great vid …I’ve still got a quasi issued 1500 Pro Night Diver . First watch I had that could exceed its depth rating;)
Those Night Divers, man they're awesome! Hope your mind was blown by the Bremauh's today 😉
@@ID-Guy I have that awesome experience to come tonight…..amidst the dubious pleasure of a “ Eurovision “ fancy dress party . Perhaps the watches are part of his costume…..

It’s a real looker
Good is good. Respect for brands changes over time. Tag Heuer with their new team has done well the last few years. This watch looks great regardless
Great review of a great watch but the problem with every Tag Heuer is that you can buy a watch for much less with a better movement. And from Top brands.
Example?
You aren't getting a chrono this good from another name brand at this price or below.
Where is the no date Tag? seems does not exist
TAG Heuer “knock it out of the ballpark” with this one.
You must be joking.
Be serious -

I kid you not. I’m not a lover of “sports” watches. Field/Aviation are more my bag. Maybe it’s an age thing, this time piece evokes motor racing glamour, McQueen/Newman/Lauda/Hunt.
I love this watch and its history but I do rather prefer the Tudor Black Bay Chronograph with the black dial. Arguably better movement with the modified B01 and I prefer the larger size.
I've just bought this, but I think the Hamilton Intramatic gives it a run for its money.
When I was young, they were a big deal. I desperately wanted a Heuer or a Piaget. Times have changed, but maybe for Tag-Heuer they could change again
On the wrist, Zenith A384?
Is that a Zenith on your wrist?
I can neither confirm or deny this 😉

Going full calendar! Love it Fahad! That would make headlines (but it would probably be 18mm's thick 😆)
@@ID-Guy Yes maybe, but I have to say that unlike the swatch or richmont group folks at LVMH don’t exactly “leverage” group synergies, imagine if that happened!!!
Btw, I thought you teased us with a Chronomaster Original (and then went and bought a bb54!!! 🙄), what’s the story there?
A subtle reveal of your new Zenith A384 Chronograph?
Approximately the same price as a speedmaster pro? That’s a tough sell.
