I've been watching your videos for a while and I have to say, you seem so happy about reaching this milestone. Matilda took you places you could only imagine and I'm sure it is bittersweet but now she is in good hands. They will put her to good use. As you start on your new journey, and begin to see more places and make new memories, you will enjoy the new RV, things will be so much easier not having to worry so much. When you get to your destination, relax, unpack, fix up the place and give Capone a huge hug and a new toy for chasing that creepy guy away. That guy was about to walk right into the RV and Capone changed his mind. Always keep your guard up, be safe.
Love the way you think...minimize stress. I think people who get the entrapment of being another brick in the wall in societal norms look to minimize stress. So, you did the same thing I would have. Love seeing Capone in the driver's seat at the end...he was ready to start on the new adventure! And congratulations on reaching 50K subscribers!
Watching your videos is just plain addicting. I feel like I"m face time with a friend keep it up girl. Happy for you. I'll be out there soon. Temporarily living in RV that is my brothers. Searching now for my new home on wheels. Sold everything. Threw away and gave away. Since then everything in my life has changed. Blessing after blessing. Seriously. Crazy stuff. Amazing stuff has changed. Lost 35 lbs woo hoo. Just changing my life. You are part of it. I found you and Bob when I started researching my new RV life. Thank you....stay safe and keep the videos coming....love them.
Your comments about research, logistics, and negotiation for a new RV are so very helpful. I know I will reflect back on this video when it comes time to buy my own used RV. Really appreciate how transparent you are. And just super happy for you & your continuing journey! 🤗💕
This. Yes, THIS!! is the video alot of us who have been searching needed to see. Thank you!!! From the search to the negotiation to the purchase and through the move..... Fully explained in the perfect way. In my humble opinion trading Matilda in the way you did was peaceful. That is priceless. Chapter 2, Episode 1 HUGE SUCCESS!!!!
I had to laugh, while you were introducing Adrian I saw Mr. Capone in the drivers seat. I almost expected him to blow the horn. I could hear him saying "come on mom we've been here all day!". Thanks for the tips. I hope to be joining the free life in the next year or so. I quit the corporate rat race last year but have hit some road blocks to complete freedom. That's ok because I have patience and will not give up. Safe travels and once again a big CONGRATULATIONS!
REALLY appreciated your comments on negotiating as something that can be a win-win for both sides. Finding that sweet spot - in almost anything in life - is awesome.
Sugar, I feel for you and the WORK it is taking to get yourself settled in....by yourself!! I just had to empty our home of almost 14 yrs, in 11 days, by myself. I can’t tell you how much LIGHTER I feel. PURGING to keep only what could fit in a 2BR apt, from a 4BR 3BA home, was AWESOME. I’m sure you’ll have a purge or 2 fitting into your new digs. God BLESS you!!
Bye Matilda, I will miss you too. You served us well. Hello new Winnebago to be named. I look forward to all of the new adventures. Thank you Carolyn, for sharing your life with us.
So happy to see you were able to get into a newer RV to continue your lifestyle. Its funny you shared the moving part. My grandparents bought a larger travel trailer, but they just simply cleaned everything out of their old trailer and left it in the garage at home, then moved everything into the new trailer after they brought it home. Things are so much different when your RV is your home LOL. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your "Moving" experience.
I drive truck for a living and you will still make the crazy wide turns for awhile and the backing will still be awkward for a minute lol. Love the new rig.
Your videos are like a TV mini series that I just can't get enough of. Congrats on your new rig and thanks for sharing your buying process. Safe Travels to you and Caponey :-)
that's the way I feel as well watching Carolyn's RV Life. I love "reality shows" and it can't get any more real than this!. Carolyn, Big Brother has nothing on you!!
I'm so happy for you. Thanks for the tips about not buying during the summer. It's so hard to negotiate but when you only have so much money, it really helps!
This was AWESOME, Carolyn! I'm so glad it worked out well for you. Your new RV is beautiful! I really take to heart your comments about the negotiation process. I learned a lot from how you handled it. Thanks. And happy trails in your new home!
I was just getting ready to go to bed when I saw you posted a new video. I hold you personally responsible for my loss of sleep. Oh well. Safe travels.
I am so impressed with your videos! You do great editing and presentations. I learn alot from your experiences and have fun watching. Very entertaining as well.
When one of my friends moved, just as you just did, the dealership gave him a plank to use between the 2 doorways so he didn’t have to go up and down the steps each trip! Simple and effective!
This really touched not only my heart but also something in my soul.Wishing you all the very best.Happy trails, safe travels.Looking forward to you sharing new adventures.
Oh my God...loved this video. The story, the comedy of the back and forth between the two rv's, watching Capone in the driver's seat when you were getting ready to leave, the music when you started on your new journey. I got chills. You are an artist! I'm so happy for you.😊! Congratulations and good luck. Glad you're in warmer climates! Looking forward to seeing your next video.
Awesome, I like your choice, you look really happy too. You are really the best RV Vlogger out there, you're so real and open about it. Chapter 2 is going to be great.
Great vid! So happy for you! Great to hear there's another person in this world who won't make an important decision because of money. Your objectivity thought process is soo good. Safe travels and be happy!
Love the new RV! good for you, I love the boundaries you set for yourself, the information you share (and don't share) with us, and for your life. You're a beautiful example for women everywhere about how to know yourself, make your own rules and change them if you want to, and make everyone else respect those boundaries. I like that Capone wanted to drive when you were thanking Adrian :)
Wow! I found it was even emotional for me to say goodbye to Matilda! I started getting teary! So happy for this next chapter in your life! Best of luck to you in the new rig. Let the journey begin!!
Great video, you put a Lot of work into your videos and I just loved the ending you driving away put big smile on my face, here's to making new memory's . Safe travels ❤❤
Indian restaurants are the best. I eat vegetarian and it's the one place I can have variety. Ate at Applebee's once, my choice a potatoes n grilled veggies. Love your new rig. Loved watching Capone while u were moving. Hugs!
A good negotiation result "leaves something on the table". The seller could have lived with a lover price. The buyer could have paid more. Both think they were not "robbed".
I admire the confidence, strength and your ability to take change...your Rv is awesome...Capone has eased into it very gracefully...I look forward to seeing and possibly meeting you at the RVTramp.....again Congrats on the new home for you and Capone....
Awwhh!! What a lovely video. The 'time-lapse' of you going in & out, loading and unloading was super. Couldn't help but giggle at Capone and his cute moving around here & there, while you were working. **really happy for you. Now we can worry a little less about you. [a nice Christmas gift to yourself. Something newer & more reliable.]. "Merry, Merry"
Awesome! I bet Capone was thinking "What the heck did you do to our new house mom?!? Oh thank God I have my seat!" Have fun you two and safe travels! 💜💟💖
I really admire you with how you handled it. I become very intimidated with negotiations, I've always been a wimp :/ Anyway, I'm so excited about your new changes, and I think you are too because you have a new glow ✨✨✨✨✨
Congratulations! I thoroughly enJOYed this video....You and Capone have blasted into the next chapter and I love forward to being able to travel along. Journey mercies!
Thank you for going through the entire process with us, that was very helpful! I am glad you're in something that is safer and more reliable. This is the RV that I have also been looking at as it's a Winnebago and therefore more reliable than many. Although not the top end in RVs, it is also something I can afford. I look forward to seeing more about why you chose this one.
Great Video Carolyn !! Great info you shared about buying an RV.. but the moving part , I was tired just watching you go in and out both RVs so many times. Lol !! I know it was bittersweet leaving Matilda and all her memories. Now you get to make new memories. Love the new rv and can’t wait to see where you take her. It’s great seeing you so happy now and smiling so much. Safe travels to you and Capone ✨❤️
Congratulations on your new home and I can already tell you are going to enjoy the next chapter! Thank you as always for being so real and making me smile (and tear up a little).
I'm really happy for you! I am hoping and praying that your new RV is a great one. You deserve some peace and happiness bc you have been such a brave and positive person. You have a good heart too. The new RV does look really nice. Capone seems to approve! God bless and keep you two.
I’m not motivated only by money also. I weigh in with how will it affect my time and how much effort do I have to put into it. I agree with you, Carolyn!
Super happy for ya Carolyn❣️I have fallen for you and Capone. I’m learning so much and it’s all in preparation to join you and the others living a free lifestyle someday. Safe travels 💓✌🏽
Whooo hoooo! Great video, and thank you so much for going over the practical aspects of not giving Matilda away, of not doing the lottery, of not selling it privately. You made such wonderful and brilliant points about how valuable your time is and that your sanity has no price tag. Well done, and continued safe travels! ❤️🐾
This video makes me happy! I loved the 20 minute mark where Capone was in the driver's seat like "Come on Mom! I'm driving!" My dog will get in the driver's seat and just lay down on the horn if I run into the dollar store. I usually only run in and get one quick item and never leave him more than a couple of minutes, but I'm disabled so I can park in the handicapped spot and he can see me and he will literally just lay down on that horn and I'm in the check out lane looking off to the side like, "I don't know whose dog that is." LOL So funny. Congratulations on the new RV! I can't wait to hear what you name her. I like "Spirit" since that's what's on her side and you and Capone have the Gypsy Spirit! :)
Thank you so much Deshinta. I didn't know Capone was there until I was editing and I thought, 'how perfect"!!! Thank you so much for being her on this journey with me!
My dog has separation anxiety so very badly. He has pulled all the headliner out of my car (PT Cruiser), plus I have had to remove the two back seats because he had chewed all the upholstery to bits. The two front seats are badly damaged. The logical option would be to leave him at home when I go somewhere, but he can go through a window, which puts him in a chain link fence, which he can jump in a single bound. He has an 8' tall kennel which he can also pull himself up and over. He has destroyed his crate. He is a rescue, mostly Boxer and he has all the mischieviousness of a Boxer. I just sit here in shock every time he destroys something. He loves people and other dogs and is a great dog, but when he can't see me.....he loses his mind. I don't know what happened to him in the first couple of years of his life, but he is terrified of not being able to see me, so I do the best I can to keep him in sight. I love this dog.
I've been at work, long days this week, so I didn't have a chance to read all the comments. Forgive me if someone has already said this, but the red bracket on your rear bumper is a mount for a five-gallon metal "jerry can" gas can. It would have a strap to secure the can in place. CONGRATULATIONS!! Best of luck to you and Capone in your continuing adventures.
A huge part of the decisions involved in full-time RVing have to do with what it will actually cost. In the future, I would encourage you to share the costs with us. And, I do know that some people are just not comfortable talking about money. But the info will benefit a lot of folks following you. Thanx, and keep up the good work.
I just bought a used motor home and like a dummy I paid the asking price.. It has some issues that are going to cost me hundreds more. But I learned a lesson for next time around. Thanks Carolyn.
Carolyn, you did a fabulous job. I agree with you, I don't want to spend time fixing brakes or an engine. I'm not interested and it's not worth it. Everyone should have a good, trustworthy mechanic....and know enough to not get ripped off. You deserve a nice, solid home and now you have one. I wish you many years of traveling free ~
Great info! Good decisions you made! So glad you are in a better home! And yeah...Capone watching from the driver's seat was too cute for words! CONGRATULATIONS!
Omg, I am so happy for you Carolyn, girl, you're going to love it! I have to tell ya, girl, you got me crying, hahahaha! You're right, Matilda was your first nomadic ride, and you do have a lot of wonderful memories.... although she sure cost you alot, but you did get to have some great times. Thank you too, for sharing those with us! Keep up the great job, and continue to have lots of fun! Blessings! Oh yeah, to 'name your girl, maybe run a contest, (maybe) let us all send a name, you of course pick, maybe on a draw, (of course you would put only the names you can live with in the bucket) and maybe the winner gets one of your awesome coffee cups!! Ha, just a thought! Thanks again!
LOL I have those same "pajama pants" and they're one of my favorite pairs!! Moving into an RV or van.....parting with my massive amount pajama pants is going to be the hardest part! Again....goodbye's are difficult, but the memories never leave us! Thank you for being so truthful in what you share with us! That's what makes following you such an amazing adventure!

A name just popped into my head as I was listening to you talk about negotiations.
Friendly Spirit.
Michael Hopkins, I love that too!

Thank you Carolyn, for sharing your life with us.
Congrats, Carolyn! This is super awesome and I’m so excited for you! ❤️
Another great video! Looking forward to the continuation of your new RV Life
LOVED your discussion of the value of your time, freedom, and peace of mind versus the value of a dollar.

yep, exactly.. it's weird being so short!! LOL Thanks for the info and knowing i'm not a lone in that Stephanie!
So glad you are talking about your research on buying an RV!!
Girl you are so right about Florida. That's why I've been looking all over the United States.. So good for you on your travels
Loved this video and all the tips. I got a little teary over saying goodbye. Lol. My fav part was watching Capone during the move.😂
Your videos are like a TV mini series that I just can't get enough of. Congrats on your new rig and thanks for sharing your buying process. Safe Travels to you and Caponey :-)
I take that as a huge compliment! thank you so much.

Indian restaurants are the best. I eat vegetarian and it's the one place I can have variety. Ate at Applebee's once, my choice a potatoes n grilled veggies. Love your new rig. Loved watching Capone while u were moving. Hugs!
Happy journeys in your wonderful life Carolyn and Capone.......
A good negotiation result "leaves something on the table". The seller could have lived with a lover price. The buyer could have paid more. Both think they were not "robbed".
So happy for you!!! May you and Capone have a wonderful Christmas and a fabulous new year!!!!
Great insight and advice on negotiating. Something I've struggled with for years. Enjoy your new RV. Happy for you.
So happy and excited for you and Capone as you start Chapter 2!! Can't wait for your next video. Free spirit! Definitely!! ❤❤
Can't wait to see all the new adventures with the new rig! Congrats, Carolyn!
Way to go ! I'm 65 & thinking of going on the road next summer !

Great music choice for the ending! You look so happy and relieved. Very happy for you and your new chapter ...

Awesome! I bet Capone was thinking "What the heck did you do to our new house mom?!? Oh thank God I have my seat!" Have fun you two and safe travels! 💜💟💖
Suze's full time van life ,
Congrats again! New RV, new travels! Can’t wait! Just want to wish you a Merry Christmas!!! Santa came early! Lol Peace & Love!
I really admire you with how you handled it. I become very intimidated with negotiations, I've always been a wimp :/ Anyway, I'm so excited about your new changes, and I think you are too because you have a new glow ✨✨✨✨✨
Gone with the Kale, I've noticed that too. She has a different look for some reason. ✨✨✨
I am the same way. I fold like a cheap lawn chair.
Charles Aucoin lol. Yes, it's definitely a skill-set.
Chapter 2! Perfect! Seems to me the new RV and your expression of growth and adventure leave you one option for her name. Spirit! 🏜
Love your new camper .Very happy for you Carolyn
WooHoo! Well done! Can't wait for the next chapters ......
Congratulations! I thoroughly enJOYed this video....You and Capone have blasted into the next chapter and I love forward to being able to travel along. Journey mercies!
Congratulations again. I am so happy for you. Happy trails you two.
So exciting! Vaya con Dios!
Not « Gaya » - I hate auto fill. There is No quick comment when I’m not wearing my glasses! Lol! 😆
Really happy for you! It's fun to see the process.
What a great video. It is sad to walk away from so many memory's but the new ones start now. Cograts. :)
Celebrate good times! Come on!!!
Song kept running throughout my mind watching your joy and excitement
I'm really happy for you! I am hoping and praying that your new RV is a great one. You deserve some peace and happiness bc you have been such a brave and positive person. You have a good heart too. The new RV does look really nice. Capone seems to approve! God bless and keep you two.
20:24 hahaha! I’m looking at Capone hanging out in the drivers’ seat! 😆
Congrats. xoxo from Arizona.
Reminds me of when I moved out of my old van and into the one I have now..I was amazed at how much stuff I had in it !
I’m not motivated only by money also. I weigh in with how will it affect my time and how much effort do I have to put into it. I agree with you, Carolyn!
Carolyn, you did good. Your negotiations is perfect. You will be happy with what you accomplished. Peace of mind is worth tons.
Carolyn i'm so happy for you! I'm so close to my dream RV! Merry Christmas!
You are glowing, congrats on the new Winnebago. Happy trails to you. Can't wait t see yuour new adventures in your new home.
Lot's of wisdom - thank you. Will be interested to learn why you decided against other types of rigs and chose this one. Looks like a perfect fit.
So happy for you and Capone I cried as you left the lot. Best of luck.
OH my gosh, THAT is hilarious!! He probably wonders like, "Why does that sound always have to happen when mom leaves me?" 😂
My dog has separation anxiety so very badly.
Great video on your reasons how and why you negotiated and how your buying process went. Recommended watching for prospective RV buyers.
Another milestone reached--- 50,000 subs! Wonderful! And, a new home---she's a real Queen Bee! Congratulations.
I’m so happy for you. We also use the same tactic of taking a day to think about it. I loved this video.
Exciting! You had done a very nice job with Matilda’s interior. I can’t wait to find out what you name your new home!
Terrific video, fun to see you so excited and happy!
hey John!! Thanks!
Glad to see your enjoying your new R.V..Believe it or not your an inspiration. Safe travels to you.
Happy for you and your new home...
Safe travels, Happy Holidays, and Be Blessed...!
Just the right size unit. Congrats Carolyn.
Great video. Can you feel the difference in the size driving the new RV?
Not really. I still feel like I'm driving 29'. It'll take some getting used to.
BTW....I'm an insomniac, so I generally try to turn my computer off at midnight. Finishing this video at 11:57. Talk about perfection!
Love your new home Carolyn!
Capone is a sweetheart! 🚐🚌🌳🌲
Enjoy your new rv! You deserve something nice and reliable!
