Always excited to see your vids, Cooper. Got my radrover last week and I've already got 100 miles on it. I ordered the breaks you recommended, excited to get those. Be well bud!
I am Happy it works for you its nice knowing we have lots of options on our Rad Rover E Bikes , Though I live in the Mountains of Eastern Tennessee 95% of the 1757 miles I now have on my Rad Rover Step Thru is off road mountain bike trails so I am always looking for better shocks with more travel .
Strange I've been contemplating buying a surely ice cream truck so I can transfer all the electrical components over from my rad rover. One of my mane concerns was wether the forks were strong enough. 😎🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️👍
The forks feel really strong, my only issue so far is it makes the steering a bit twitchy. I think the combination of the lighter weight and the steeper steering angle make it turn really quick and it’s going to take some getting used to, especially at high speeds.
Merry Christmas to you I've been wondering how you are getting no with those new forks. I'm keen to go down the same path if they have been a success so will be looking forward to seeing a progress review soon thanks Andrew over in Britain.
Nice job Coop. That is a significant weight reduction. I'm not ready for major mods yet, as my bike's still under warrantee. Half the fun of owning one of these is the problem-solving for alterations. Are you familiar with the 'Riv-nut' and the 'Nut-sert' tools? They're real life savers. Been wanting to ask ya, did you design that stylized beaver logo? That's pretty neat
Cats Paw I don’t have a Riv-nut tool but I am familiar with them. Also I didn’t design the logo it was from a guy on Twitter but his handle escapes me, if I find it I’ll post it here.
I ended up going with the Surly Ice Cream Truck fork. No offset, just a 150 x 15 mm axle, 26" wheel size and 1-1/8-inch steerer diameter. I also added a whole new front wheel as the stock hub wouldn't have worked with the new fork.
@@SuPRCooPR thanks...the hub spacing does that mean the space between the forks where the wheel goes? the forks I want only make them in 140mm..would that work? or is that too wide?

jablesb1984 congrats on getting your Rover! Those brakes are so good, and aside from getting those grips off it’s an easy install.

Billy Crutchfield these forks are definitely not for everybody. I looked at getting a better suspension fork but they’re really expensive.

What was the correct offset for the Rover when purchasing the forks? My stock Forks broke looking for new ones found your video ty

Nice mod..do you happen to know the specs of the stock forks? I'm trying to make sure I get the right size forks.
Hugh Wong the hub spacing is 135 mm and the fork tube is the standard 1 1/8th.

Hugh Wong that should work fine, just may need to add a washer or two.
Prob wouldn't advertise my plate number 🤔
Ernest Pigler it’s a 1993 Honda Accord wagon, doesn’t run but if you’re interested make me an offer.
You should be able to go faster with the lighter weight.
It does feel a bit faster but the quick steering is going to take some getting used to.
