Friends,
This is a Math video. This is our thirteenth webisode (WB-13) on "Series 8 -- Quadrilaterals".
In this video, we learn that if we draw a line passing through mid-point of one side of a triangle such that the line is parallel to the second side, then that line bisects the third side i.e. the point where the line intersects the third side, that point bisects the third side of the triangle. This theorem is called "converse of Mid-point theorem".
Then we go ahead and prove this theorem. This is a very important theorem.
This video is suited for class-9 (Class-IX) or grade-9 kids.

thank you so much sir really wonderfully explained more better than school explanation
Nice video sir nice explained
Very helpful video 🙂🙂
what types of questions are asked about this theorem
really nicely explained
Please tell , you have taken in triangle AEF and triangle CDF
angle AEF = angle CDF [ AB||CD AND ED is a transversal ]
angle EAF = angle FCD with AC as a transversal
Can this be replaced by AEF = CDF angle
Please do reply
Hi Prakriti,
Thank you for your question. In ▵AEF and ▵CDF, ∠AEF=∠CDF (AE//CD, ED is transversal, alternate interior angles are equal). Also, ∠EAF=∠FCD (AE//CD, AC is transversal, same reason). We also see that ∠AFE=∠DFC (Vertically opposite angles are equal). Since AE=CD, we say both triangles are congruent by AAS rule. Remember that for AAS rule, we just need any 2 (out of 3) angles of a triangle to be same as their corresponding angles in the second triangle. Hope this helps!
Cheers,
nice presentation easy to understand thanx

You have done a mistake you have written parallelogram instead of writing quadrilateral in the starting after the construction (parallelogram BECD) it is wrong . The correct one is (quadrilateral BECD) . It is only the mistake and the other things are correct.
Please tell me converse mid pint theorm
Neha Aggrawal it's converse of mid point theorem
Use only English or Hindi not both in same time😊😊😊😊😊
thank u soo much
Hi Abhishek,
You are very welcome!

I completely agree with you 😊
You are mad
Cheers,
A bit faster sir u waste soo much time
Please sir not mixed both languages
U have written converse mid point theorem but ur proving in a wrong manner first talk in English either in hindi
