Friends,
This is a Math video. This is our seventeenth webisode (WB-17) on "Series 10 - Circles".
In this video, we will learn that all the angles subtended by a segment of a circle are the same i.e. if we take multiple points outside the segment on the circle, then the angles subtended by that segment at each of those multiple points (we had taken earlier) will be the same.
Later in the presentation, we will prove this theorem.
This video is suited for class-9 (Class-IX) or grade-9 kids.
Cheers,
Friends at Rising Pearl

Dear Sir,
Thank you so much for the wonderful explanation in simple words. Reminds me of my schools days.
However, I think the definition of "Same segment" could be a little confusing for the children.
This is because it is explained differently at 2:09 minutes in the video as opposed to the description of the segment at 3:09 minutes...
I know I could be a little pedantic about this, but children could benefit if this is clearly explained.
Thank you !
the amount of times he said 'dosto' hahahhah lol
His channel's name has dosto as well...lol come back here after 7 years🤣

Hi Manisha,
You are very welcome! I am glad you liked the video and found it helpful.

sir is it necessary that the angles should be at the circumference of the circle so that they would be equal.
Hi Sunny,
Yes, the angles need to be not only on the circumference of the circle but also on the same segment (as explained in the video) for the angles to be ALWAYS equal. Thats what the theorem is stating. It will fun to simply draw any circle, then take any two random points on it (say A and B) and join them. Then take any other two other points (say P and Q) on the circumference of the circle. Join points A, P, B and also A, Q, B. If you measure angle APB and AQB (using Protractor), you will find them to be EQUAL. Hope it helps!

anyone in 2017??.....btw thnk you so much sir it helped me a lot
Sir angle same segment me hai iske liye Kya conditions chahiye hoti hai
Hi Khushbu,
Say we have a circle. Take any 2 points on the circle - say A and B. Join AB (this is a chord). Now, we take any points on the circle that are above the chord AB - say P1, P2, P3, etc - they are all in the same segment. Similarly, we take any points on the circle but are below chord AB - say Q1, Q2, Q3 etc. - they are all in the same segment. But we CANNOT take one point above AB and one point below AB. They are then in different segments. Hope this clarifies. Thanks for your question!

Is angleA = angleB ????
Hi there,
Not sure if I understood your question. Can you please elaborate the question a bit more?
Cheers,
Yes it is equal as per kite theory
+FUN OVERLOADED angle PAQ = angle PBQ
it is equal because they are CONSECUTIVE Angle

So you couldn't just use English? You had to throw in some funny language.
