I am not sure but I think it has to do with the fact that the central point of a circle is 1/2 the distance of the circumference angle to the arc points. This means that the circumference angle has to double to account for being twice as close to the arc points.
If the length of arc ACB is π, then I think that there would be always an approximate value of the arc of a circle......... 😕::::::::::::::::::Am I right ?

The length of arc is "pi" or "pi over 2"
As you don't convert degree to radian, which is necessary in finding length of arc.
