When you discover 90° USB connectors, it will make this Maverick mod so much better. Then the USB cord won't be straight out and can be wedged in the plastic dash gaps. The USB C connector is easy, just search for 90° \ 90 degrees, but the USB A connector needs to be either left or right 90 degrees.
Accessory to cover the cubby to an angled magsafe wireless charger plate... that would be next level. Just pop your phone on there. And if you also hide a wireless carplay/andoid auto adapter in there... a gold star.
Is there any way to swap the position of the radio screen and the cubby? I think I would rather have my phone mount closer to the steering wheel. Also, I plan to run the USB out the back bottom corner of the cubby to the fuse box so no wires are exposed.
Another good video. Bought the screensaver from y’all. Plan using your video to change out bed light bulbs. I would love to see a cubby kit with grid and USB, C&A quick charge. Add a jumper to the fuse box. To do wireless charging. I’m gonna try a RUclips DIY video to do just that. Using Amazon to track down all the pieces. You just can’t buy one of so many things I need. I think a kit would sell well. Thank you for the videos.
Hello there, mate! Thank you for the fantastic video, which offers a great idea to enhance the usefulness of the cubby. I have checked the website, but I could not find any information regarding this kit. Could you please tell me where I can find it?
Even with a USB "C" cable connected to your phone and running Android Auto or Carplay the cord stays down and out of the way. This just seems like a lot of unnecessary drilling and hacking of your truck?
That’s what I did. Also added a wireless charger. A couple 90 degree power cords and some hot glue to mount it under the dash. Super clean and was about $100 all in from Amazon.
Ideally adding a piggyback plug in the back of that usbC would make it even more of a clean install

How long of a charging cable do you need 3' or 4'?

why didnt you just push the cord down.... instead of making it so difficult by pulling it up?
Does this void any warranty?
I wouldn't think so
I may do this for my Cobb acessport. I don't like the idea of vent mounting it.
That's what we are doing and where we got the idea for the video!
I would like one of those kits

Why not just wire a usb port under the tray to truly hide the wire?
Just need the cubby holder and phone mount.
Music?
Buy a wireless Bluetooth apple car play and android auto device is cheap and don't need modifications. Cero wires.
