You’re a great resource for us Tool fans thank you
I have been waiting forever for this one brother ty!
Tone is on point
I just realized that my strum pattern is very similar to the extend power chord riff when I make stuff up. I guess I listened to this song so much as a kid when I was with my dad that it influenced how I played even when I didn’t know how to play guitar.
Very happy that you made this one, man. I learned Culling Voices from you and I am so happy that I did, it’s impressed my dad every time he hears it. Thanks a lot, look forward to more!!
Another great lesson and content, always look forward to the next lesson on drop D and Tool. Thanks Greg.
GOD!!!!!! That sounds so GOOD!!!!!!! KILLER SOUND!!
As usual, you did another AWESOME VIDEO!!!! With a great TOOL song!!!!
Love the details of your tutorials! Hammer ons, pull offs, slides, distortion, ect....
Been waiting for this since you did the intro! Thanks! Your lessons are always great!
Awesome man. You always teach excellently but it’s extra special to see a favourite track hit the list. This has always been one of my top songs of theirs, something special about it for not being such a “special” song. Thanks for the lesson and work as always. 🤘🤘
You always have tremendous tone and info tyvm love it..
One of my favorite Jones riffs, that opening sitar-like riff. Thank you man! That extended power chord is rough on beginners. My pinky wants to collapse under the ring finger. Gotta build strength in the little guy.
God bless you, mister. Thank you very much!
Damn, this makes me want to dust off my axe and shake the house down. Great job!
Amazing! Looks like I'll have to practice more of those hand stretching expanded power chords!
Thank you for saving my life with these tutorials. I utilize everything in navigating my own compositions. Being able to express myself without tripping up and having to slow it down to hammer a single riff. I owe you so much
Much appreciated!
@@axeofcreation you're a great template for me to help explain to any of my students willing to learn.
Been a while since the last Tool lesson. Grazie.
Awesome video
I can play a huge list of tool songs thanks to you. Rock on!
You’re the best, mate. Keep it up. Hope you’ve been well.
This is a sick riff bro. BTW looks like your creeping up on 100k subs!
excellent lesson per usual, greg, thanks so much man. this song is so melodic and cool, that guitar progression with the big power chords is so unbelievably catchy....it's got a more melodic feel than a lot of undertow for sure! tool are so incredibly good at mixing beautiful and ugly sounds, lol....
Agreed
I got excited to see that this was posted a month ago!
great tutorial as always
Thanks!
Supercool!
YES
Ive actually been learning this song off.rocksmith , had always played it wrong , amd never was close to the solo , we will see how close rocksmith has got it, love the solo finnally have it nailed down gonna put my cover of it up soon
Awesome
@@axeofcreation thanks man , be just a upload off my android phone played on a magenta schecter c-6 and a fender mustang lt25 , I've fallen in love with schecters lately , price point , quality and they all just look so cool and pretty , and for the mustang its a great practice amp , it says its 80watts on the back am i reading this wrong ? I look online at some bigger combo amps and there only at like 50 to 60 watts . was told recently if i want to gig at small venues , clubs etc that i need at least a 60 to 100 watt amp , sorry coffee tangent ! Be well and keep up the awesomeness axe of creation !!!!!!
Awesome video! Been watching you for a long time. All of your videos are kick ass thank you. Can you do some Mastodon too???
Mastodon crushes!
Cool song, amazing lesson :)
Gracias!
@@axeofcreation :)
Are you able to tell us about your kiesel guitars? The silverburst and your vintage burst? The specs and prices really nice guitars
You are the fucking MAN!! Unreal content. Thank you for all your hard work 🙏🤘
Thank you!
Undertow was one of my first cassette tapes. I played it till it wore out.
Would love it if you did , how to dial in a Adam jones tone on a fender mustang lt25 practice amp , or any practice combo amp , im just a at home player and love my little practice amps and the fender mustang I have to say is the best mini combo amp on the market ! Love the tones i think im close but would love to see what you would dial in and think of the amp in general , cause when you think tool i think.most dont think of fender amps , but I'm telling you its pretty rad awesome cleans and nice and tight crunchy gain
Awesome. Always appreciate any Tool lesson. Thank you
Is that a ukulele in the back rack? Or a kids guitar?
Would love to see a video showing all your guitars and amps
It's actually a Cavaquinho, which is basically a Brazilian ukulele
Hey dude, could you do a video on how to get the tone from this video? -- "3 Styles of Drop D Riffs" That tone on that video is just so badass!
can you share you helix presets? awesome lessons!!
Nice eye contact
Can anyone help me with the tones and effects used here. New COVID guitar player using a orange crush 30 amp. How are you getting such a great clean sound? Reverb ? Thanks so much
Do you have a tutorial for wings for Marie part 1 & 2 ?
W song
That tone is gnarly, whats the setup for this vid?
Great tutorial btw, will get stuck in tomorrow!
Using NeuralDSP Nolly, that's it.
@@axeofcreation Im going to have to check that one out then, sound phenomenal.
@@axeofcreation could you please make a video showing how to get the Adams tone with plugins?.. it would be great to see a video with your tone!!!! :)
im stoned and cant help but to stare at that green dude in the corner
Is it normal that I can pinch harmonic the first 3 strings but not the last 3?
Yeah thats normal at least it was the same for me it took me a while to get it but eventually got it just takes a while. The thing that worked for me was I did the pinch between the bridge and middle pick up right over the edge of the middle. If you have a middle pick up.
yep! it all depends on where you do it on the string which is different from guitar to guitar. the high 3 have really specific locations that it works best, whereas the low 3 are much easier to do at any point. i think it’s because of the texture for some reason? just move up and down the string experimenting also with how much of your picking thumb is actually touching the string
ya under too album eh?? you mean under TOW, like to tow a truck
Verse C is wrong right before chorus its wrong. there is no full chord like you playing. Its 0-h2 and E string and A string together maximuim and then pinch harmonic. Did you even listen to that part before you started making this tutorial?
