With all the hate and criticism Liza received here in the Philippines, I am glad she got invited to DIVE studios and able to talk about her experience and concerns in her career without being criticize. I love that Ashley and Peniel kind of understand Liza's perspective in her career and that she wants a change, you know, stepping out of her comfort zone and exploring more. We all know K-artists got it hard and they understand Liza more than Filipino people themselves. Some call her "walang utang na loob" like "ungrateful" of the people she have worked before in her acting career when she just want a change and not to be in a "love team" anymore. I'm glad she's away from toxic people in real life and social media.

Many people still throwing hate at this girl for being a woman who knows what to do. Calling her ungrateful for throwing shades at the industry who made her a star when all she does is telling what is truth and this what haters are afraid the most- when they hear facts that doesn't align to what they believe in. If she remains as a puppet of the same people just to please them she would've stayed as a beautiful and angelic girl who's known all over the place but now that she realized that herself matters the most more than anyone else, everyone may get angry but she's amazing. Yes, this girl will preach her testimony over and over again just so you know that she won't get tired to open your eyes to what your idols are going through. I am not againts Liza, its good she is doing well. I like her acting in her previous projects. We cannot please everyone, so we can't expect that nobody will have negative emotions regarding her opinions. There is always two sides of the coin.
On another note, Im wondering why she is still using the name Liza Soberano, that she said she never had a say before? Why not use Hope from then on?

This is the same for me, the LT concept always felt forced and stiff. Now she really comes off as authentic. I really like this calmness that exudes from her. Rebrand works for me - she is ready for a bright future.

Whoever invited her to the show is a lifesaver. Liza has been receiving a lot of hate for the past few weeks in the PH just because she wants to step out of her comfort zone and try something new, which for me means boldness. She's been bashed as being "ungrateful" that only reflects how toxic those people are. She says it right when she wants to try new genres, like The Glory, My Name, etc. It says a lot of her being a true artist, being hungry for her craft. She made the right decision to appear on this show because as the name say, Get Real, she can be super real voicing out her thoughts and feelings. I admire her courage and despite exposing what is needed to be exposed, she remains a woman of grace and elegance.

I'm so proud of Liza for speaking up about the toxic system of Love Teams here in the Philippines. And sometimes 'fans' are now going overboard. It's so true that LT sometimes limit the actors capabilities, and hinders them to discover themselves.
First is the fanservice - it makes me feel so uncomfortable when interviewers ask LT if they have crush on each other, or are they already in a relationship like they just paired up a month ago. People needs to stop fantasizing actors and actresses, stop deciding for them, they're their own person don't dictate them what to do and what to feel.
Networks limit their artists in general. I never understood why their talents can't work with everyone and is limited to those in the same network. Kinda stunts their talents and potential to expand.

Liza/Hope's talking voice in English is so soothing, she can read horror/crime stories like Stephanie Soo, so much potential still, even though she's a super star here in the Philippines,
Liza is so intelligent and articulate. She just wants to expand her opportunities in her acting career but the Titas and Titos in the Philippine entertainment industry are trying to drag her down.
She was even ridiculed for being Korea and “just renting a room” as if it’s a crime! I’m glad she’s getting her feet in Hollywood and I hope she becomes successful. I was a LizQuen, member of a fandom so I’ve met her numerous times including her family here in California. We’ve gone to dinners along with Enrique.
Please invite Chanty of Lapillus Dive Studio's.. she can also share her experience in Philippine showbiz since she debuted as rookie actress first in the Philippines before she debuted in Kpop last year. I love her interview with The Korea Times low-key promoting Philippine music, singers and the Phil entertainment industry in general she even mentioned SB19 in that interview, she reminds me so much of how Sandara Park promotes Philippines too.. by the way Sandara Park, Chanty and Liza started their showbiz career from the same entertainment company in the Philippines..

Prop that the comp arranged the interview with Dive. Liza really shocked many Philippines when she chose to not to resign and find her own path. What's interesting with her answers are the truth behind it. Like, you wouldn't really realize how stagnant the Filipino showbiz has become unless someone says it outloud.
Fo sure actors also knows this, for sure there's a lot of them who would like to do varieties of project and not stick with what they're doing for years. We're so behind compared to how vast showbiz can cover. So, hopefully younger actors and producers would take action for the entertainment industry.

This is one of the things Iove about Get Real and why it's my favorite podcast, they would talk about some serious topics that can be dark and depressing but in a way that doesn't feel heavy. It feels like just hanging out with friends.

Hindi kasi magaling mag pasikat sa karamihan ng artist ang pinoy showbiz ng solo lang puro lang loveteam alam. Dun lang sila magaling. Wag na e deny pa. Walang improvement ang showbiz industry sa pinas. Ang sobra ng generic. Pati karamihan ng mga pinapalabas at mga casts na paulit paulit. Generic din na story lines at iba pa puro kalaswaan. Puro loveteam. Kakaumay. Kaya iba na tinatangkilik ng mga pinoy. Naunahan na ang pinas ng ibang mga lahi. Huling huli na ang pinas stick to old style parin mga creators.
I love how real Liza was when sharing her thoughts about the love team culture here. I personally get bored easily when I see the same artists together in several projects.
And I think that's one of the charms of a kdrama. You hardly see a kdrama with the same lead cast regardless of their popularity, unless it's for a sequel.

The US she can be more versatile. Ask Filipinos about American actors, they will know them. Ask Americans about Filipino actors,and they will not know them.

Liza's explanation about the love teams in the Phils. is valid but not as toxic as what she is saying. I think that fans are more openminded now because we know that almost every loveteams here didn't actually end up being together in real life but they are still popular up until now. Usually, fans are hopeful that the pair will develop feelings with eachother which is a great deal for them but if not, I think most fans are not that stupid to understand the difference between real life and work. At the end of the day, whoever is more talented usually end up to be more famous and active in showbiz. The ones that are apparent to be just riding on their partners but just being ham actors/actresses usually end up to be less popular.

At the end of the day, it's her prerogative if she wants to be stucked in a loveteam or not. She stayed to be in a loveteam simply because she knows that that's the best option for her at that time. She's one of the few who are not ready to go solo because admit it or not, she's a decent but not great when it comes to acting. Enrique is the one carrying most of their shows. Just like Nadine is more ready to go solo than James, Kathniel are both ready, ect. Loveteams are not uniquely or exclusively happening in the Phils. It's actually everywhere. Usually the management takes advantage of the opportunity to invest to the loveteams while it is still heavily supported (strike when the iron is still hot) and it's not really a bad strategy for both parties and no one should be blamed for that. Being solo or in a loveteam has both advantage and disadvantage especially here where there are a vast number of talented actors but there are only few tv stations and media platforms that's why loveteam is a great idea for actors who are starting to build up their careers. Most of our great artists started in loveteams, patiently waited until they're ready to go solo and now thriving with their respective careers because of the help of their management. She's the only actor who didn't appreciate the design of loveteams. It's basically just like KPOP. They have unique pattern that even the other countries are pursuing to adapt. Yes it has both the positive and negative effect but still, it is a very effective strategy that has been enjoying by them, their management their audience. Most of the actors here are aware of this thoughts. She's definitely against it but still chose to be in it because she knows there are also a lot of benefits that she's getting to it.

Sila Miles Ocampo, Jane Oineza ect. gustong maexperience yung same treatment kay liza pero di nabigyan ng chance na magkaroon ng ka loveteam. Sila yung best persons to describe it na hinahanap mo kasi sila yung may dream na maging artista talaga at mahal yung craft nila at willing silang gawin yung task as an artist. Yeah she mentioned it, that it's slowly changing now. But dude, during her time, the fans are delulu with their loveteams. Prime examples of toxic fandoms are the kimerald and aldub, glad that Maine early on in her career made it clear that she doesn't want to be put in the box like the others and she succeeded.

I loved On The Wings Of Love and james ried chemistry w/ nadine I really didn't get the whole REEL and REAL thing but now that lisa broke it down to me its so cray cray and genius but also cray cray what if the two ppl have crazy freaking chemistry but hate each other in real life omg.
