      Wow,he did so much in such a short time. During the. British invaison His music and his artist such as GeneChandler,Major Lance and of course Motown were the only record companies consistently having hits.

      @@johnanderson7711 Artists in Britain were heavily influenced by American soul singers....when The Beatles arrived at Kennedy Airport in 1964 one of the (I believe Paul McCartney) can be seen coming down the stairs of the airplane carrying albums...I forget who's album can be seen... heavily influenced.....

      @@jerryj920 Aren't everybody infleuned by black music? I never said that theBritish artist were not infleunced by black music. Is just can't the fact that nobody heavily charted in the US on a continuos basis but Curtis and his music and Motown.

    I am not sure how long it was between when he released the original to this but when he sang it here. it is amazing he still retains the passion for the song .that is a true artist I am going to tell my friend. I feel Curtis Mayfield was my Generations Tupac

    Amazing how some of the most talented, groundbreaking artists still dwell somewhere beneath the general radar. I saw Superfly when it came out, bitd, & have always kept a copy of the soundtrack album. I'd never seen CM live until tonight, thanks to modern technology & you.
