I asked the guy in charge, ' I'm looking for something about a grapevine, ' he told me that's Marvin Gaye, ' I heard it through the grapevine ',that was the beginning of my love for that heavenly, divine voice. I bought everything I could find of Marvin's, but then there was a lull, and a friend who knew I loved Marvin returned from New York, in 1970 with 'What's going on ', it is to me just the most incredible, prophetic, beautiful album ever. I'm truly grateful to Snoop for his homage.
Also snoop ( original) on bongos behind him started the rap craze when guys in New York started putting a hippity hop voice on imitating what he was playing. Rap music true founder.... sugar hill honored him by letting him play the intro on first rap record......rappers delight
