- Hey everyone, I got to play Skull and Bones Beta and I think this game has potential, it just got lost somewhere. Do I trust Ubisoft to fix it? Not really, 'cause they never do... but eh, we can only hope.
Overall the game is not bad so maybe it will generate enough interest for Ubisoft to care.

I was expecting an upgrade of black flag. Skull and Bones needs a lot of work and improvement. What got me is having torpedoes on 16th and 17th century sailing ships. If i want weapons like that I would play a ww2 submarine game.
For a long time, the archetype for a pirate game was Sid Meier's Pirates, which was a great game as far as pirate simulation went, allowing you to plunder and build a fortune while upgrading your ship and crew. The only problem was that the action itself wasn't too engagin. Of all things, AC Black Flag was one of the only games to bring that model to a more action oriented setting. And, while the AC combat and mechancs are kinda clunky, it worked incredibly well. Skull and Bones simply missed the whole point of what made black flag so fun and brought the formula 10 steps backwards.

We as #gamers may have been born too late to sail the high seas, and too early to travel the stars. But we were born in the right time to witness Ubisoft's ascension. And what better company than the one that released games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla. YOU WILL CRY! I am emotional, overwhelmed, and I am in tears. More than anything, I am glad. Glad to have witnessed the golden steps of this company as their rays touch upon us. 11/10 . GOTY instantly.
And to all those hating on the game, there is only one thing to say. Touch grass, do you not have anything better to do than to bully this poor billion dollar company? Know this, there are dozens of fans ready to die in Ubisoft's name, DOZENS!

its wrong to review bomb this game because it isn't Black Flag! Its different yet fun. I would have done some things differently but that doesn't make it a bad game. Over priced? Yes! But I will get a few hundred hours of play time for my $60 so it will work out in the end

But in all seriousness, I'm glad I am playing mostly older games rn such as Dragon Quest IX and Elite Dangerous. There at least I have a fully fledged experience to dive balls first into.

I always laughed seeing advertisements for this game. Michelle Rodriguez saying something along the lines of "u don't need a plan" I think it sums up this game well. U don't need a plan, just a great marketing effort & trying to deceive players into thinking this game will be good. WRONG. Lol. I could see this coming a mile away. Just avoid ubisoft games.
