I played the demo, it's nothing compared to Forza, the physics are totally shit.

Even though I hated FH5 after thousands of hours playing it, I don't think this game come close. A big ghost city? Where are the pedestrians? what is it, a game from 2003? The graphic is like The Crew/NFS, not even close to the photo-realistic graphic FH has to offer. I don't care about the gameplay, every racing game is not the same, even for Sim racing. Yeah, as much do I wish this game to be FH5 killer, turns out it was quite disappointing when I saw the 1st gameplay released.

this kind of take is terrible for this game, it is a AA game, the goal of this is not to compete with FH, but I undetstand the clickbaity title, and it worked after all that brought me here.

I wouldn't call it a killer Hong Kong island feels small, narrow streets. FH if they do Japan this time it will be a killer. Then, you have customizations which is still limited. You can't do advanced tuning like adding more camber or playing with the suspension. Hopefully, they add back the OG hawaii map later on and deeper customization system.

Lol. Forza Horizon is already better than this junk.... Hell the original TDU from 2006 is superior than Solar Crown.......

This game looks worse than FH5, but the optimization on PC for TDU is abysmal. I understand it's a demo, but if release is anything like it is now, then this game is DOA. Motorfest isn't perfect, but it's the closest thing to a Horizon-killer atm.

yea no definetly not bad servers, bad performance, tiny car list, barely any visual customization, steering animation is bad, always online, main test drive unlimited features missing, npcs being random, world is lifeless, race event wins lack any kind of love, not a lot of content etc etc the list just goes on so its definetly not gonna beat any game at this rate (dont come up with "demo" this game has been developed for years and even been delayed once, not to mention in the 3 months till release the most they will work on is some bugs(if it even does release by then))

The only game that can compete with FH is The Crew Motorfest when it comes to graphics and physics.

When I was younger I would play the original TDU driving with a Logitech G25. Nothing like having the freedom to turn the steering wheel a full 900 degrees. And yes! Every singe bump on road or curve would affect the steering, you would feel vibrations on the wheel, force feedback too

Downloaded it , got 25 FPS on a RTX 3070 and PS3 graphics. Uninstalled immediately

I don't know....I think people will find some of TDU a bit cheesy. It doesn't look bad but I don't think it will come close to FMH5 as far as fun is concerned. Most people like the playground rather than a grind. TDU will do fine but won't touch FMH..... especially when FMH6 swings big and finally goes Japan or something along those lines. FMH should worry more about Maverick and there open world game coming in a couple years.

You are dead wrong with the title alone, I hate the direction forza has gone in but this game is a new low for racing games. I'd put it on the same level as Project Cars 3.

The optimisation is pretty bad but still this is a demo. The thing is even with 20-30 fps i still wanted to play this game because i like the physics and it's such a different experience. The map is so good, i love the city. It's actually my first time in racing games when i've noticed that a city feels like city. I just hope there will be much more traffic cars. The most improtant thing for me is that the team behind this game is much smaller than it's competition. The graphics are nice for me. not the best obviously but the game still looks good. Now, CAR SOUNDS, oh my god, just compare it to forza and it makes it look like forza is some shitty indie game. Personally I hope this game will make the competition realise what we really want in racing games.

3D Car models in TDU look worse than Turn10's 400 year old 3D models. Day time in TDU looks like a mobile game. Steering animation is straight out uggly and incorrect. You would think a driving game in freaking 2024 would have a proper steering wheel animation and a descent polycount for the main thing - cars. Character animation is bizarre, they look half dead. 🤣

This game doesn't have a chance until they upgrade the steering wheel animation, horrible optimization, and servers. In terms of graphics and car selection it's not even close, this game somehow offers less customization than forza as well.

as someone with a wife that enjoys watching games more than playing them, she loved the hell out of watching me play this. sure, I would have preferred a more engaging combat system, and puzzles not made for dimwits, but I still had fun, enjoyed a good story, and was able to love this game for what it was, not what I wish it was. this was the only game my wife said she actually enjoyed watching the fighting. I'm sure if a sequel is ever made, they'd absolutely perfect what was done here.

With all the hate online about the game i didnt know what to expect, but the game is a great experience, and the graphics are something else, i would never buy it for full price but since its included on gamepass i see no reason for the hate other than people who thinks steam is a realigiin and not a gloryfied wallmart

Answering negativity in posts below and any subsequent posts. In the 90s games sometimes had 2 hours worth of gameplay. If you played something like Out of this World, Monkey Island, The Dig, and so on, you would finish in about 6 to 8 hours. Not every game needs to be a second job. If you rather watch a movie, go for it, most movies are actually more expensive per minute than this game is. I think nowadays people are just bent on being negative, bitching about things, and not having their own opinion since all they do is parrot hot trends from Twitter.

I reiterate: it's not an RPG if (1) you cannot make decisions that express your character in some way, and (2) if success depends more on the player's hand-eye coordination than the character's skills. Aloy's personality is 99% fixed, the player has almost no agency here, and it doesn't matter what her abilities are, if you're clumsy with your fingers you won't find success. I really like HFW and I've sunk far too much time into it, but it's a story-driven action game.

More an action adventure game with RPG elements or RPG lite really. Also enjoyed the game but if there were a ven diagram it would only overlap with RPG, not be the big part of one of the circles.
