Sunflowers and your face fascinate me
You love only the tallest trees
I come running down the hill
    But you're fast
    You're the winner
    Long distance winner
Not unlike the blue white fire
You burn brightly in spite of yourself
I bring the water down to you
But you're too hot to touch
    You're too hot to touch
    Love somebody save their soul
Tie them to your heaven erase their hell
Love their lifestyle if you feel it
Don't try to change them you never will
Sunflowers and your face fascinate me
You go into the dusty pink day
    I come calling unto you
    But you run
    You're the winner
    Long distance winner

I just feel sad she sacrificed having children to having this long singing career. Songs might be more interesting as a single person, but I wouldn't make that sacrifice with good genes like hers.

Doesn’t matter who has entered into their lives, Nicks and Buckingham will go to their graves totally in love with the other. It’s just who they were and are. Doesn’t mean they can’t/didn’t love someone else, it’s plain they were soul mates and it shall always be.

I lived in the mountains in Oregon when the Fleetwood Mac album with Rhiannon on it came out, '75 or '76 or so. We played it all the time. The album had their names written on the back, but it didn't say which was which. When I came back down to the city, I told some people I had a crush on Lindsey Buckingham. They said, "Oh really? Lindsey's a guy. Hahahah!" "Oops," I said. "Then I guess I have a crush on Stevie Nicks."

Both Stevie and Lindsey have sold their rights to their musical catalog to musical firms (Lindsey 100% of his catalog, Stevie only 80% of hers) interesting enough the separate deals they made did not include any music found on 1973’s Buckingham/Nicks Album.

I first bought this cassette at Woolworth in the discount bin, in 1982. I listened till I broke the cassette & didn't know how to buy it again, it was before the internet & I was in Alaska, but I found someone with the album & was able to copy it to cassette. This was before CDs were as popular, no one liked the way they skipped on the Walkmans. :) Love love love this album, still!

I read somewhere that Fleetwood Mac wanted Lindsey to join the band, they only wanted him. He told them either you take both of us or I won't join. And as they say the rest is history ...

Yet, without Stevie, Lindsey would never have moved to L.A. and worked to have a music career. He said as much during an interview in the past year or so. According to him, she had the ambition and drive to make it happen; he didn't. She also supported him by working several jobs while he stayed home and honed his playing, composing, and singing. And he knew the level of her talent. FM was looking for a guitar player, so they only asked him. He was smart to require them to take her, too.

My first-ever experience with this album was through a friend's tuned room, 800 watt power amp and wall-mounted Bose speakers. He'd done enough research and consult to install the foam blocks, etc. that would assure frequencies weren't resonating and canceling, etc. An enviable skill at this point for me, but the horsepower of his system behind this album was absolutely like a few rows back would sound at a major venue.
I tried to enlighten him to the idea that megawattage through excellent speakers isn't all about loud; it means that it sounds fantastic at volumes over which you can converse without yelling and spraying :) But as a first-ever experience, the whole album is sublime and powerful. This album can't be compared to the Lindsay/Stevie/Christine/John/Mick Fleetwood Mac, either..... while the latter does have some mystical songs (i.e; Sister of the Moon, Gold Dust Woman), this is the one, the esoteric.
In terms of ingenuity, the entire album is a masterpiece and proves Lindsay's as much an inventor at the mix as he is a composer and guitarist. The terms "underrated" and "underappreciated" are scattered around related channels...... too true.

What a combination, a way fantastic lyrics writer & singer along with a (if not "the") greatest song writer / guitar player, period.
