  • Journalism is in a state of flux. As legacy media outlets see a decline in readers and viewers, some have turned to a “clickbait” model while others have rushed to the ideological poles, all in a desperate effort to hold onto audience share. Newspapers across the country are folding, leaving important issues uncovered. What’s left is an increasingly toxic public discourse. It’s no wonder that trust in the media has hit an all-time low. So, is there still a place in the media world for honest discussions?
Perhaps nobody is more qualified to answer that than Megyn Kelly. A veteran of the broadcast world, Kelly was an anchor for Fox News for 14 years and a journalist at NBC. In September, she launched a new independent media venture, Devil May Care Media, at the center of which is The Megyn Kelly Show podcast, which has garnered millions of listeners and routinely hits the top of the podcast charts. Animated by a belief that “the vast majority of Americans … can handle sharp, compelling discussions about tough issues,” she has brought cutting insight and a distaste for groupthink to a wide audience. In 2014, Kelly was named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people, and with her latest venture, that influence will only continue to grow.
MI president Reihan Salam interviews Megyn Kelly on a range of topics including the modern media landscape and the rise of independent journalism, what the current and future political climates will mean for open journalism, the continued threat of cancel culture, and more.

There are only a handful of guests I anxiously turn to when I see a new interview with them on various RUclips channels. One of these is Megyn Kelly, an astute and fair journalist who always impresses me with her candor and point of view. Thank you for giving us yet another excellent example of this. The American public was sadly deprived when she was excommunicated by the MSM. Her podcasts are fantastic and I highly recommend them!
(For the record, I also closely follow Douglas Murray, Victor Davis Hanson, Aayan Hirsi Ali, Heather McDonald, and Glenn Greenwald... none of whom get enough airplay from mainstream news outlets. What a sad commentary on the state of contemporary journalism.)

Though this podcast was about Megyn's views, I came away deeply impressed by Mr Salam's interviewing skills. Very well done.

If you teach your kids critical thinking skills and how to research these topics, I think this brain washing can be overcome. Parents have to be more active in raising kids now with these skills unfortunately now

Thank you Megyn so much for your transparency and truth, as a Canadian woman I hear you and align completely with your clear, emotional intelligence. You are a powerful voice for the masses.

I suppose in middle age, you have embarked on a life lesson in human animal psychology. Service of the facts. Tongues and the interpretation of tongues. "Belfast" this year? 2022. "Human Suffering" explain on this your day, the point? When Life is Pro Life? The journalist into the forced role of Chaplaincy and being the anti biology promiser.
