      I don't know. They all are amazing, I can't describe with words how great they are. No way I can say one is better than the other, it's not that simple.
      I find myself listening to this particular composition very often, but I don't know. lol

    Just for your info:
    the fabulous 1st violist Herbert Blendinger (left), who soon will be celebrating his 75th anniversary, is suffering from several strokes for 20+ years and had to abbandon playing completely. He then concentrated more on composing - and is a reknowned composer on his own. This fine recording must be already from the 70ties.

    For those who don't know about the story behind Bach's Brandenburg concertos. In 1721, Bach composed six “concertos for various instruments”. He dedicated them to a German nobleman and sent the manuscript as a gift, hoping to land a job as the court composer in Brandenburg. The nobleman never replied. Bach eventually took another job in Leipzig, where he lived for the rest of his life. Bach had send his original and there were no copies. The 6 concertos were lost for 130 years. They were never performed. The manuscript was eventually sold for about $20 and shelved in a library. The Brandenburg Concertos sat there until 1849, when they were discovered and published for the first time. Thank god.

    • @jangerston
      @jangerston 3 года назад +2

      Thank you for this historical perspective. To think that six piece of the most sublime music ever written sat unplayed on a shelf for 130 years and might never have been discovered.

    • @Caroline1261
      @Caroline1261 3 года назад +1

      @@jangerston You're welcome and I agree with you. I also think that a lot of pieces were destroyed and lost over time. I read somewhere that Bach wrote 300 cantatas but only 200 survived and they said it was because of the kind of paper and ink they used in that era, it sometimes got destroyed by time.

    Éste gran Concierto para dos Violas...es una joya...de Bach...se disfruta oyendo cada frase magistralmente compuesta por el Maestro..., pero más se disfruta tocándola con una de las Violas....aunque aparece un pisco el Violonchelo para que no se queje...y haga algo..de protagonismo.... jajajaja....
    El Director es también un gran Organista... soy un fans de todo su Repertorio, Conciertos, Fugas etc...para Órgano....
    Gracias Maestro....por su gran Labor por la Cultura...y el Órgano...

    This is one of my favorite Bach compositions. For a long time, I thought this was Concert #7 because it was labeled as such on and old cassette tape I had, and I spent many fruitless hours looking for it. Finally, I decided to listen to all of them and discovered that there is no seven! In any case, Soli Deo Gloria!

    Hermosa, majestuosa. Realmente esta pieza musical de Johann Sebastian Bach como dijo Leonard Bernstein, fue compuesta para el Márquez De Brandenburg Christian Ludwig, pero sin embargo, el espíritu de esta música trasciende el pensamiento de los príncipes y reyes, ya que toda composición de Bach solo tenía un fin: La gloria de Dios
