Hello David. I’m so glad you enjoyed my video. Thank you for your comment. Take Care Jim
Nice video Jim. You make it look easy.
Hello Dennis. It's all done with smoke and mirrors!
Only kidding, just takes a little practice that's all. Take Care Jim
Excellent thank you very much 👍. Had reservations with my cheap dividing having a 3 jaw chuck and thought the only way of getting it to clock true around it's circumference wold be to release the mounting bolts on the back plate. But now I know it is common place.
Hello Dave. Thank you for your comment, I'm glad you found my video useful. Where are you in the world?
Hi, I'm from the Midlands in England, I will be attempting to mill a clynder for my wife's vintage circular sock knitting machine. Needing to cut 84 1.30mm slots around the 5" diameter. Fingers crossed lol.
Hello Dave. How are you getting on with the cylinder for the knitting machine? Did you manage to cut all 84 slots? Take Care Jim
Still waiting on the 1.30mm carbide slitting saw, we keep you posted how I go on 👍
Indexing head and dividing head what difference?
Hello, thank you for your comment. Dividing heads are closely related to indexing heads, but with a key operational difference: Indexing heads use a scale and show the angle of rotation (from 0 to 360 degrees), while dividing heads use pre-defined plates to rotate a fixed amount. These plates are generally circular with multiple rows of equally-spaced holes. Hope that makes it clear for you. Take Care Jim
