I recently flash bios on asrock ab350m hdv and the process is smooth as butter

My most recent system build was with an Asrock board (I usually buy Gigabyte). I am really impressed with it.
I've never been able to get internet flash working on my Asrock boards. I always had to do it the old fashion way.
Either my board doesn't have online flashing or I didn't trust it to get the right file, can't remember. Still really easy to stick a USB drive in and choose the file from the drive, though. Did have trouble finding the BIOS update option in the menu because I kept thinking it was something else so my brain didn't register it, which is what took the longest.

even if Boards don't offer it Bios updates these days can been done through your computer manufacturers built in support assistant!
Hi Carey, would love see a video based on a 4-pin vs 8-pin cpu well in depth explaining what, why and when you need it?
The 8-pin was originally used for professional servers only, but is now common on regular consumer boards as well. It can deliver more power than the 4-pin.
Most motherboards with an 8-pin receptacle will function with only a 4-pin connected (filling half of the receptacle).
4-pin is sufficient for the vast majority of CPUs, and no CPU running on an H110 board will "bottleneck" from a 4-pin connector.
Only with overclocking will a Core i7-7700K require more power.
@@CareyHolzman I am planning a Intel I7-8700K with a MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PLUS with 3200Mgh of ram with the motherboard having a 8-pin CPU plug knowing the CPU only support's 2666Mgh when I would like to bring it to 3200 with out an 8-pin? sorry haven't watched you vid's for while but my family alway's came first, but alway's love watching you.

I guess you would want to go backwards if you upgraded your motherboard and wanted to install an older CPU you had to use it in another build. And What if the motherboard comes with a newer version that your CPU requires?

I love that about Asus mobos that has Ez flash 3. You can just update directly via the internet, no need for flash drive and dl a file to it, super easy, easy and no issues had.
Wish I would’ve known that LOL went to the store for the second time today just to get a flash drive

hi all i got myself a asrock A520M-HDV and i have a ryzen R5 4500 will it need a bios update or do i need a update P2.10 version
You’re gonna need a bios update for that. I highly doubt the pc will boot up if the bios is not up to date with your cpu.
@@smallboto On the ASRock site it says it needs 2.0 or newer for the 4500. Strange enough mine does not work (on P3.3), nor does update the bios.

I have a z390 phantom gaming 4s-ib but cant find this specific bios ANYWHERE. i really hate this ASROCK Company
the only bios that is on their website is 4 and 4s... cant find bios for 4s-ib anywhere!!! What a crappy motherboard manufacture
I have the same motherboard, I assume 4s is the model of motherboard, and all the 4s motherboards use the same BIOS
