Leif, adding an AIR HORN with your Bear Spray in your pack is a good idea, I've seen bears scared off by an Air Horn when shouting did NOT work & it would scare off other wild animals. Try getting a pole holder for the kayak and paddle a little harder when you get those big hits to set the hook A lil better and the poke holder will help with that as well!

there is something eerie about a perfectly circular lake that gets really deep in the middle, who knows what monsters lurk down in the depths. Hopefully you catch some of them.

Nice episode about Fishing a TINY LAKE filled with GIANT TROUT!!!. Regardless and unless English lingo has changed recently, I think that fly rod (not fly pole) and strike indicator (not bobbin or float) are more easily recognized by avid fishers. I suggest that you start every fishing lake first with a fly rod, because a perfectly presented fly landing rarely scares the trout away ay the onset, whereas plunking lures/spinners do that on the first few casts. In addition, a strike is much earlier and easier felt on a fly rod compared to a spinning rod. From a fly fisher in Southern Alberta and British Columbia since 1974.

Great video as always. Just FYI, it's best to continue rowing after getting a bite, it acts as setting the hook and secures the hook deeper before you stop to grab the rod.

Yeah dude, here is just a thought. A big mesh net might be a pain in the ass to deal with for catching the casings. So one of those metal detectors to zip around with might be the deal. 👍

For the size, it reminds me of Bradley lake in Puyallup. Pulled some BIG trout outta that lake long before it became a kids only lake.
