- High altitude mountain trout fishing is what I’m after in this one. Days 3 & 4 of my solo backpacking adventure take me high into the mountains for my most remote Trout Catch & Cook yet! I'm already an avid fisherman and camper, but you've inspired me to get up to some of the amazing high altitude lakes we have here in Utah, and do some catch n' cookin' of my own. I camped out of my kayak a few weeks back at Strawberry Reservoir, and it was easily the best camping/ fishing trip I've had all year. Thank you so much for your videos, they're always getting my psyched for every weekend I get to get out there and do it myself. So many incredibly scenic shots! Loved the time-lapse of the stars. You are such a trooper for filming portions of your steep climb where you had to have climbed it twice. First time on camera, and second off camera. I was so hoping for you to catch that fish in the dark, for the food! I will be watching for the next installment!
I've been eyeballing a few of those lakes on maps over the past couple of years. I plan on making a few trips up there next spring/summer. I can't wait!

I probably can't even begin to imagine the effort of video production, but I wish you would shorten the intervals between videos, because every single video is like a short vacation for me. Honestly man, your overwhelmingly positve vibe seriously takes away from how intense the stuff you do kinda is. I mean youre hiking far up a mountain where if something happens, youre fucked. But without knowing that youd think you were staying in the creek in your back yard. You dont pad what youre doing with BS making it seem like youre constant in life or death situations like almost all others that have the same style content. And i really appreciate that.

I agree that instant coffee weights less, but real ground coffee will properly steep and then sink in your coffee cup by the time it's cool enough to drink. You'll end up with grounds at the bottom of the cup, just avoid drinking them. You do not need a fancy filter or press to enjoy real coffee while backpacking. FYI.
