tbh, I just don't think he has the experience base to make huge leaps yet. Like he doesn't yet know what all the champions do. How are you going to play fights if you don't know what the opponent is even capable of. League is just too specialized and convoluted with 150+ champions. Let's be real, most of the playerbase is older now and has been playing for a decade, and that's who he's competing against. It's just not the type of game that you can pick up and be competitive except for real degens. I think the biggest thing is he has to realize it's gonna be a long process, and so do the viewers. Even very proper training methods and reviewing isn't going to him play the right way that fast. I'm thinking about former pro players like Scarra who has been plat a few seasons. Obviously, he doesn't play seriously but that's the level Lud needs to reach, it will take a while.

Midgame is so hard to learn in low elo though, let alone late game. Unfortunately LoL is a game of teamwork, and if your team's macro sucks, you get behind.
Oh Ludwig is 1000% right on the fact that S8 Diamond rank doesn't mean you would be above gold right now. Even if you could timewarp the player to S14 without taking a 6-7 year break and losing his touch. The skill expectation is just SO much higher today, than it was 5 years ago. Knowledge expected from a diamond rank to stay there. 6 years of increasingly complex new champions. Average player mechanics also have risen. Like back in S8 and before, you could get diamond just by having decent hands. Constantly skill checking your opponent and just playing a better mechanical game. Just secure the last hits, build correctly, and fight well. You get diamond. Modern day diamonds NEED to understand lane state basics. When is a wave slow pushing? When should you recall for tempo? When do you freeze, when do you crash a wave? What does it allow you to do when you crash a wave? How do you play around level up timers? Other diamonds understand most of these things, and will completely humble you. Diamond players these days also have far superior lategame macro. You can no longer just run it down your lane, keep beating your lane opponent until inhibitor is taken, and expect no lane swaps or collapses on you. There are also FAR more catch up and comeback mechanics in league, than there were in S8. The game was so much more simple. You kill the enemy a couple times and he is SO far behind in exp and can't come back. No matter if you misplay with the advantage a few times, they are still so hopelessly behind. But today. We have catch up experience. We have objective bounties. We have grubs+dragon for cross mapping objectives. Less snowball items. The game is just MUCH more winnable from behind, than it was 7 years ago. And closing a game from a lead, requires much more game sense, and making much less mistakes. I have a friend who managed diamond waaay back in the early seasons. These days he plays with us in normals, he is the most coinflip player on the team. He either goes 15/0 in the top lane against a bronze player. Or he gets someone who isn't a push over, and goes 2/15. And it's like he gets the level 2 first blood on the gold player of today. But that gold player usually makes a comeback when our ex-diamond gamer runs it down permanently into the enemy tower, and has ZERO map awareness or jungler tracking. Like genuinely I have NEVER seen anyone so utterly blind to the map. And he is a former diamond player. 3:30 and without fail he dies to a gank. We ward the river for him. He always goes for the fight when the enemy laner gives it to him, not even glancing at the jungler clearly in his vision. And as the jungler enters his camera, he is always shocked over the jungler interrupting his fights. Bro the fight started because the laner wanted to bait you. And one actual thing that has also made diamond harder, is that back 7 years ago at the start of S8, there was WAY more PC gap. Meaning that a HUGE portion of bronze-gold players were simply playing on 200ping and 20fps. There was no way for them to physically play against someone with a decent PC. But decent machines capable of running games 100+ fps, and internet connections are more accessible. Less low elo players are playing on toasters and using the equivalent of dial-up internet. That's less people who were easy steps to climb past. It's still even to this day, a part of league though.
The funnier part is that he thinks the scarra point helps out his argument when scarra, a former pro is hardstuck diamond, and he thinks he could get near that
Respectfully lud Connor gets Diamond back in a matter of time if he wants to.. I'm certain people are gonna see you getting boosted if they see Connor past ranks
If he properly focuses, studies, and gets coached, IMO it's not hard to reach plat in a month, but idk if he'll put in that much effort considering that he didn't even want to read his abilities in the other video.
The only way is if he were to catapulting his skill drastically by reconstructs his mental, spend days and days grinding, and playing only for himself on less team reliant champs or his clueless, 50% wr, team reliant, weak mental, happy relationship, millionaire ass ain't making it past silver 4
I don't think it gets exponentially harder though. Once you really start to understand the game you'll go on a big climb and also getting better teammates that are easier to work with. From my experience it's at like D4 where it actually starts to get exponentially harder.
If Ludwig changes his role to ap support he will climb easily, at least that’s what I did. I played like 2 games per day for a month and went from bronze to gold back in season 13 split 1 (same mmr as plat now) and I was still relatively new at the time, first time playing rank seriously. Jungle will take forever unless Ludwig giga improves a TON. But seriously, 8-12 hours per day doesn’t mean shit anyway if you’re tilted within the first hour, let’s be real here. Spamming games without good mental and focus will just be a huge waste of time while also being very draining. Taking care of yourself, playing only while you’re focused, and being receptive to learning from your mistakes is the key to climbing. Problem is league is by nature a very stressful game, so playing league is like a journey towards enlightenment which also translates into real life.
Diamond 5 was legit top 2% in season 5 now top 2% is like d2-d1 yes players got better over the years but i ended d3 in season 8 and did not play serious untill 24 split one and was able to reach diamond again without a lot of time commitment. TBH if you think conner cant hit diamond again in less then 3 weeks you are delusional. especially since the elo is so infalted now
Bro needs to change his settings for starts and watch pathing guides for jgl. So many setting people don’t use like quick cast, target champions only and left click for auto attacking the closest thing to your cursor (so you don’t actually need to click directly on the champ, or using zxcv instead of f keys to look at ally champs quickly… those are just a few off the top of my head that can change the game.
"league's different now" So true! The average player's skill level has increased massively! I remember the days that knowing how to use a wave got you diamond... One of the many barriers to entry for new players though, unfortunately.
He doesn’t know that ranking up during the end of the season is extremely difficult because people start playing on their alt account to avoid deranking their mains for rewards. Plus people are boosting their friends for the end season rewards.
Even if he commits to learning and playing for a month straight. Even then dude is going to be disappointed. At best he could maybe hit gold, but I even doubt that. Probably end up high silver. League of Legends and mobas in general just take a long time to get good at. And Lud doesn't have the experience to improve at these type of games fast enough.
I love the Ludwig League Arc. Someday when it's over and he never touches the game again is when I'll stop watching his content because nothing he plays will compare. I love it so much. I didn't watch his streams until League. And when League ends I'll be out of here. Now if he starts up a Warframe arc or something I'll be back. But I doubt he'll ever touch Warframe.
Ludwig not gonna climb fast playing only amumu. He needs to play carry junglers sure it’s gonna be harder to learn but he is gonna sink 100-200 hours might as well play a carry jungler.
It doesn’t get exponentially harder. You played melee dude you know you have to grind the fuck out of something if you really want to improve. Put enough time in and you will rank up for sure.
I can get you to platinum in one month, without duoing, just via instruction. The thing about league up to high platinum or maybe even emerald is that it's ninety percent knowledge and ten percent mechanical skill. You are a good enough gamer to learn that slight amount of skill very quickly. You just need to learn the rest of the things you don't know and the problem is that the coaching you're getting quite frankly sucks. Most "professional coaches" speak about the game at such an abstract level that it's like.... it sounds as if they're teaching you these mystical secrets when in reality they're saying fucking nothing. There are a handful of VERY concrete things you need to start doing, to stop doing, and to do differently and with proper explanation you would fly through the ranks, guaranteed.
One Month hardcore League is a good plan. Many people grind the end of the season tho. Duo with a DiaV peak is boosting. Dont direspect DiaV, you dont play on a silver level, you are clearly bronze and like you said ex-pro Scarra is Dia3
you gotta play most of the champions in the game to understand esports. Thats what i did i played all 160 champs when i started to know what everyone did. Prolly cause of that i cant otp and climb ranked.
diamond players can hit plat in about 2 weeks or less connor is diamond 5 years ago meaning he got diamond back when promotion games are still a thing I’d say connor is probably not gold level but more like mid plat
As a dota 2 player that has played it since dota 1 came out, i reached diamond in 3 months.. it’s not that hard to be honest, at least not close to dota 2
just make a new account reset your mmr and get plat in 50 games instead of 500 because MMR is this game is just a time sink when you're in low elo, games aren't hard but you win in like 20-30 minutes which means you need to play hella hours.

Ludwig should just hire the next world champ to babysit him for like 1-3 days on every game he need to teach him what to do or how to thinj
If he properly focuses, studies, and gets coached, IMO it's not hard to reach plat in a month, but idk if he'll put in that much effort considering that he didn't even want to read his abilities in the other video.
Is it the League or the aggression that melts his face cos bro was looking crooked 😂
Bro once he starts the grind Dec 8th he will want to ingame so quick. Also he gotta go solo.
he first needs to learn how to take in what he's getting taught before he reaches out to yet another person lmao
Imagine he will duo someone who hit consistently rank 4% and now tried to get top 40%😂 suuuurely
Play duos, but your duo will have a mental.
I think he can reach his goal so long as he duo queues.
The only way is if he were to catapulting his skill drastically by reconstructs his mental, spend days and days grinding, and playing only for himself on less team reliant champs or his clueless, 50% wr, team reliant, weak mental, happy relationship, millionaire ass ain't making it past silver 4
I can't believe this bronze player ego's on CDiamondVA
RIP connor mental stability
"league's different now"
So true! The average player's skill level has increased massively! I remember the days that knowing how to use a wave got you diamond...
One of the many barriers to entry for new players though, unfortunately.
Ludwig's plan get carried.
Lud also needs to start playing without locked camera its best to rip that bandaid off right away you cant reach plat with this.
Hes not a league addict, he's just a copium addict
If by genius you mean braindead… yes.
He doesn’t know that ranking up during the end of the season is extremely difficult because people start playing on their alt account to avoid deranking their mains for rewards. Plus people are boosting their friends for the end season rewards.
Lud is lucky he didn't have to deal with promo games.
the absolute heartbreak and mental damage losing your promos 2-3…. just awful
Currently plat is emerald so his goal should be gold
LETS GOOOOO, PLAT ON THE WAY! LETS FUCKIN GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Scarra has been hardstuck diamond 2 seasons before TFT came out
Why would you crop the chat
Also link the VOD the clip is taken from in the description
Lfg I'm also back on league because of ludwig and I'm enjoying it along with him
Until he learns to unlock his cam he will not get out of bronze
He should just try and hire Tyler1 he hit challenger in all the roles
There is no way he can stay sane doing that
I can’t wait for Lud to be Bronze 5 on December 23rd having an absolute meltdown. I hope he proves me wrong.
I think Damwon isn't busy rn
he will break, just like any of us lol players
It doesn’t get exponentially harder. You played melee dude you know you have to grind the fuck out of something if you really want to improve. Put enough time in and you will rank up for sure.
this is why i fk with ludwig ( he's going to mentally crash lol)
strap in lads the hurricane league is coming, get your toilet papers, cash, whatever you need to slop through this disaster.
I don't think he's getting out of silver. Lets be real
He hasn't played on stream in a week smh
Ludwig simply doesn't have the mental to do 8~12 hr days of league for a month straight. He would fold way before the end.
Bruh, this is gonna be a reap challenge. Good luck haha
5:00 dont ludwigs viewers peak while hes playing league lmao.
he can do it if he keeps getting some coaching.
His only chance at plat is playing Yuumi with a duo.
Someone needs to fix his settings and teach him micro so he can atleast hit gold
you gotta play most of the champions in the game to understand esports. Thats what i did i played all 160 champs when i started to know what everyone did. Prolly cause of that i cant otp and climb ranked.
what is the background music at 4:05?
Its the pick ur kart theme from mario kart wii
@@lundxdd thank you!!!
Only 12 hour a day? These are rookie numbers
diamond players can hit plat in about 2 weeks or less
connor is diamond 5 years ago meaning he got diamond back when promotion games are still a thing
I’d say connor is probably not gold level but more like mid plat
Yeah if he makes it to sliver his viewers carry him to sliver. That's the only way
As a dota 2 player that has played it since dota 1 came out, i reached diamond in 3 months.. it’s not that hard to be honest, at least not close to dota 2
just make a new account reset your mmr and get plat in 50 games instead of 500 because MMR is this game is just a time sink when you're in low elo, games aren't hard but you win in like 20-30 minutes which means you need to play hella hours.
You have to eat sleep and breathe that game for years. Just like all the people who are higher than emerald.
Not a chance in hell a 2024 newbie can make Plat in soloQ.
He needs a coach
Lmao idk why but i dind this so fucking funny
