@@steftzs The QK65 kit comes with a foam kit. Also for pillow Id swap to a blanket for sound; blanket > pillow. You also need deep sounding switches as well. From my experience tape mod makes the board sound louder, higher pitched. I'd swap out your bubble wrap for PE foam between PCB and plate though.
I have two questions, are they lubricated from the factory or did you lubricate them by hand? And what is the name of keycaps so that you can find them on the sites? Thank you.
@@cemitech7638 Hello again! I will receive qk65 soon, I have already prepared vertex v1, I have one more question. Did you use gasket socks or jackets in your build?
notice any ticking when pressing the key on the bottom or left side? My set of vertex v1s do and its driving me crazy because every video I see with these switches dont sound like it ticks and Im afraid mines the only ones that do
Sorry to hear about your experience. I do not notice any ticking, but I was using these with the Wuque PBT DoubleShot keyset. Maybe that plays a factor compared to using the GMK abs keyset. The V1s you received could also be lacking enough lube, so to eliminate the ticking, you could just lube them a bit more and bag lube the springs (although this is quite time-consuming, better than spending more money for another set of Vertex V1s).
nice switch for the office
Are you boss?
They would cum after hearing this keyboard
@@potal-x7kcan confirm my boss and coworkers like the v1s way more than my previous Baby Kangaroos

@@cemitech7638 i understand. Thanks mate, helps a lot
do you ever press the spacebar with your thumb? i also press it with my index finger but am thinking about making the switch
yeah i press it with thumb, i think it is more accurate with your index if you use thumb for space. it's just one's preference at the end of the day
Its more proper with the thumb probably feels more ergonomic too but I'm so used to typing like this that typing differently feels uncomfortable
I use my left thumb and right index finger

Stock - factory lubed I have not touched the lubing in these yet. Wuque BoW keyset doubleshot pbt for the keycaps.

ticks usually happen from the stabilizers.
