I agree, I just bought a 2019 WT double cab, upgraded 17"steel to alloy wheels to 20's added black side steps, a black bed cover and it looks cool, for a bit less. Also the front end grill bumper and rear bumper are painted mat black. With CHEVROLET badging across front center bar, it gives the truck and substantial stance. With rubber floor mat instead of carpet and really nice dark grey vinyl seats,this truch should be very popular with the working man crowd.
Stephen Landry I agree. A truck should be more simple than a car even if you aren’t using it as a work truck. A lot of people are talking about the Ram, and they do have some cool stuff, but I honestly prefer the Chevy interior.
Heres an idea for wire solution of cellphone in front. Dont get the bench seating. Get the bucket seating option which comes with a very very nice center console

Some of the features of the '19 are nice but a couple of things they got wrong, backup camera not centered (?) & no electrical plugs in the duel consoles. Some things look good, keyless start, remote tailgate back seat storage but overall nothing to even get me to trade.

Great review! GM really ruined the jump seat in this generation. Just sold my 16 Silverado and the flip up console had the three cup holders, and the spots where you could prop up your phone. PLUS it had the two USB ports inside, AND cigarette lighter adapter... Now there's nothing - no option except draping a cord from dash to console. I had to make sure my 19 Sierra had the full center console.

Just a word of caution - the new 2019 Silverado-Sierra twins can’t be ordered or does Not come with the power brake and foot pedal adjuster. This is normally a pretty standard option for most trucks (GM, Ram, Ford)...I own a 2017 Silverado, but some “bean counter” within GM axed this very useful feature......why?
Awesome review. Very thorough. So you mentioned there wasn't a spot to place the cellphone while charging. What about the compartment right beneath the charging ports? Does that open or not?
That's my one problem, there is no place for you to rest your phone without the wires hanging, so what I did is buy one of those phone holders magnetic ones.
Are there no USB ports in the centre console armrest? When I use Apple Carplay on my 2018 Silverado, that's where I plug into. That's odd that they would remove it entirely from the centre armrest.
you will be sorry with the ram. My work has them as fleet, and there is ALWAYS 1 or more that is in shop for something. Fuel pumps seem to be weak link.
Gorgeous truck. Interior is good too. They ask customers what they wanted and they were happy with the functionality and performance of the interior. The Ram is styled better but not as functional when wearing gloves or for work. The components are also made with cheap blends of plastics.
Right because people are always wearing gloves when driving their truck ..so a nice interior means that its not as functional as the extremely cheap interior of the Chevy? Stick to the cat eye.

It's easy to know who's actually seen these trucks and who's actually tested these trucks. Being part of the launch has its advantages. FCA for styling, GM for fit finish and functionalities. Fords interior is just plain and crappy
The lower end truck models ie WT Double cab, and CUSTOM are almost identical, for me the WT upgraded with 20" Wheels to match "Custom", side steps, and a bed cover will make an excellent Work Truck. WT is equipped with a blck mat painted front grill with CHEVROLET CUT OUT on middle bar at grill Auto tailgate lowering from key fob and at tailgate. IPhone and Andriod compatibility. Vinyl floor cover Nice truck.

It's not uncommon to find brand new F-150's with dash plastic curling up around the vents and glove box with uneven gaps around the door because the plastic deformed. And the Ram? The Ram will have already fallen apart well before 3 years thanks to that bottom-of-the-barrel FCA quality. I'm still amazed at how many brand new Ram 1500 Limiteds have badges falling off the the dash due to the cheap adhesive and leather detaching from the seats because of the cheap design.

Apparently you don't know that if the rim is 20", then the tire is also 20".
Buy the wireless charging package. Then, no wires needed and the phone simply sits on the centre console and gets charged.
You still need it plugged in if you want to use android auto or Apple CarPlay though.
