Couple of corrections: 1) In higher trims, wireless charger isn't on top of the armrest. it is right under the A/C controls. 2) Here in Southern California, "all windows down" option is cool when you park the car for a while and inside goes above 120F. 3) Digital gauges are available in "Technology Package".
Shawn r I know right! I could see this trailer going down the road at 80 and know it doesn’t weigh 10k lol I do like that trailer though, and 10k is a respectable gross weight lol
One thing I noticed, with all aspects of the car industry being so technically advanced, why is there still a traditional antenna AND a shark fin? There should be one source to send and receive information by now you'd think.
Good review. Neat looking. A little bit basic for 53k. I think at least a few people that are in the market for a new truck probably have a phone that can be charged wirelessly. I hope that "option" is less than 2k. Bring on the next video!
Great review. Really considering this truck. As far as the button to open all the windows, I’d use it on hot days to help air it out quicker after it sits for a while. Just a thought. Great review though. Informative!
Awesome review, Forrest! I'm really digging the new exterior styling! Also, I really like how you included an example of to set up a trailer. Can't wait for your Rebel review!!!!
Okay before I watch this video any further. Those are 5200 lb axles. Each axle should not have more then 5200 lbs of weight above them. So technically your trailer is capably of carrying 10400. Doesn't mean that trailer weighs 10400 lbs.
I'm driving the truck now (first time driver) and I feel the same way about parking and feels like I'm going to hit the parked cars lol so yeah, I park in reverse it feels more comfortable to do & I park far from everyone
Test drove one yesterday. Trail boss. Looks a lot better in person. 5.3 feels a little underpowered but overall nice truck. Needs an intake and full exhaust to help it breath and it will be fine I believe.
the trailer decal you showed is not what the trailer actually weighs, if it was than it would be over the GVRW of 9899LBs. The 5200 lbs is what each axel is rated to handle as far as a load. That trailer probably weighs about 1500-2000 lbs at best since it is all steel. Great review as far as the rest of the truck. GVWR = Gross vehicle weight rating GAWR = Gross Axel weight rating
The first photos of the new Silverado, I hated it, but now seeing them on the streets their really growing on me! Great review! Love my 2.7 Ecoboost F150, would get another, but I’d consider this truck, not a retail sticker, but with 10 off maybe. In WV where I live, Chevys out sale Ford by a pretty big margin and Chevy dealers just wont deal. Really interested how Chevys new lil 2.7 4 cylinder is going to do, I’d give GM a while to get the bugs out, I think these lil engines will surprise people, not for everybody, but us grand paws and soccer moms it’s a interesting option.
I just got a 2020 Silverado RST Z71. Came from an impala so took a little getting used to the size. Love the power and smoothness of the ride though. There are some options I wish I could have, like the 3 prong power socket. Can I add those myself third party?
Was seriously think of getting one but now that I see all the things that will go wrong with type of truck where we live. Way to much to short out from the salt air. Maybe look more at a base model. Mine right now has 370 on it. I tow a 10000lb travel trailer. Good review for nicer climate tho.
Max range is 552 miles, full tank, all highway no stopping, and no load, EPA conditions. Combined EPA MPG range is a max of 456 miles, no load. Tow a heavy trailer and you would be lucky to get 250 miles before you're completely empty. So I guess you do 95% Highway with no load and I assume fill up your tank before you are completely empty like the rest of us. 95% Highway? Amazing. Hillary, that's not how most people use their trucks.
No mention of the Auto Stop function at all? A lot of people are skeptical of that technology and wish it could be permanently turned off. And how did the Dynamic Fuel Management feel while driving? It is noticeable? Some other reviewers say they can see the RPMs increase as cylinders are deactivated.
Oh i forgot one more grip its just too many dam trim levels and packages the RST should have not been a trim model GM could have gave this all to the LT trim model as a standard option or with one of the packages they did not need 8 different trim models thats a way of hiking up the prices when these dealership already are overly marking up the prices on these trucks. Thats why a lot of these trucks are still sitting on these dealerships lots.
wow this is a whole year old but yes, my dad and i both have GMC sierras 2002, we just love how they look and also how reliable the engine and trans has been
I have one,, plagued with issues, I now have to spend every day off at the service department before my warranty wears out, GM and the dealer JUST DONT CARE and will not get me out of it or take it back. I couldn't get it out of park for a month and a half before I received the part,,, IT RECENTLY ALMOST KILLED ME .experienced brake failure 2 weeks after said recall was corrected, GM never sent this bulletin to my dealer, so they just sent me on my merry way after the recall been fixed to almost being killed ... I have temperamental transmission issues and dashboard electrical issues, yet to be addressed., GM will not help you,, although they have a great little system rigged up so you think they care and are doing something about your problems they are not. I've been nice and kept my control but it doesn't matter, so don't worry about giving them hell. IHAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS SINCE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT. , iTS A HIGH TECK CUMPUTORISED NIGHTMARE, I spent 48 thousand and GM and the Dealer ., Says too bad, they said trade it in and eat your depreciation.
No way in hell are any trucks made today are worth the money the manufacturers want. Truck were intended to work. People have no clue, with all of the electronics you will have issues. Power window motors go bad , i never have seen manual window regulator go bad.
Moneymike1028 Catchfishordietrying that’s insane my Chevy dealership has these new for 30 grand at the moment end of year sale I hope you really didn’t pay 55k
Moneymike1028 Catchfishordietrying yes 2019 fully loaded got the smaller engine package 2.7L but still loaded jet black interior tow package turbo engine super super nice truck got a great deal on it over 12000 in savings and discounts I’m pretty happy smooth truck nice color it’s perfect for what I need it for
Man, you need to educate yourself before you start talking about some things. Those numbers on the trailer for the axles are the MAXIMUM WEIGHT THEY CAN CARRY EACH. Those are not the weight of the Trailer. Even if you loaded it up with furniture, I doubt you'd be towing over 4000lbs total.
" chevrolet sent me the keys" Are you sure you didn't just borrow a friend's truck or rent one, or get a service loaner from a dealership? Why try to make yourself sound important by claiming that chevrolet sent you a review unit... Why would they send a review truck to someone with 44,000 subscribers?
The Tundra only sold a quarter of what the Chevy Silverado sold.
Love the styling of the new Silverado!
like the front design of the truck, looks mean!
Just purchased a 2019 Silverado RST Z71 and the ride quality is so much better than my 2019 Ram 1500 classic .
The trailer weighs maybe 3000lbs the 5200lb is what the axles are rated for.
You need that window feature for long road trips with the kids and one of them cracks a deadly fart!

The "all window" down button is for immediate venting of a cabin you're gotten into thats hot inside.
I believe the standard screen size for GM vehicles that are 2019 or newer, is 8 inches.
You're looking at axle load ratings man.. that trailer is NOT 10,000 lbs LOL
Shawn r I know right! I could see this trailer going down the road at 80 and know it doesn’t weigh 10k lol I do like that trailer though, and 10k is a respectable gross weight lol
The all window down button is for the dead of summer to hop in and let all the heat out.
One thing I noticed, with all aspects of the car industry being so technically advanced, why is there still a traditional antenna AND a shark fin? There should be one source to send and receive information by now you'd think.

Pro tip, learn to back trucks up into parking stalls. Trucks are not meant to be parked like a car especially in tight parking lots.
Great review. Really considering this truck. As far as the button to open all the windows, I’d use it on hot days to help air it out quicker after it sits for a while. Just a thought. Great review though. Informative!

GM has an package with a performance air intake and cat-back exhaust.
Eric Fox it def needs it but cheaper to do it yourself.
Ya I guess. A good air intake cost $200 cat back exhaust about $800. I think their package is $1200.
Needs the 6.2L option to help it breathe better. 2020 can't get here soon enough.
@@masonryman81836.2 FTW
They are beautiful trucks!! Planning on buying a black RST in the next month or so.
That vent creates smooth air, air curtains more or less, over the wheel well. Should actually reduce drag a good bit.
LOL the trailer is rated for 10,000lbs not weighing that amount, i'm guessing the trailer empty weighs around 2500lbs..
Love the new Silverado but the tundra isn't one of the best selling trucks
I Love it ,. Exactly the one your showing. W/5.3 lt. But still driving my 04 mint condition Avalanche Z66 in white 5.3

I’m not a GM fan, but I could be talked into rolling the dice on this one with the 6.2.
I heard the RST doesn't come with the 6.2..I could be wrong tho
Mr_4point6
When I was shopping Chevy, I believe the 6.2 is available in the RST.GM not E-coating their frames put me off about buying one though.👎

New silverado looks great, I think the LTZ is my favorite trim.
Andy's Shop I wanted the LTZ but they don’t offer color matching bumpers smh
Duude!!! I want those 20in wheels. I have the 18s on mine.
I heard the 2020 models will have the 6.2L option in all trims. FINALLY!!
Yeah, you will be able to have the option of the 6.2L in the RST and Trail Boss in 2020. I'm wanting an RST, so I am waiting on the 2020 for sure.
You are right and that is what I am waiting on

Great realistic review, definitely a Truck that is worth buying. Chevy " like a rock."
I like the GMC/CHEVY but I really Like the Ram Dash/inside
A low 24 gallon fuel tank capacity for the double and crew cab models are a deal breaker! What the hell were they thinking?
I get 475 mile range with mine.
Max range is 552 miles, full tank, all highway no stopping, and no load, EPA conditions. Combined EPA MPG range is a max of 456 miles, no load. It would be nice for a 28 or 32 gallon option. But I am sure it will come eventually as Ram and Ford have them.
I love the new look
Loving my 2019 rst z71 north sky blue metallic
Got the same one
👍
Nice!!
Just.put my order in today had to order it rst with 6.2 and 10 speed takes 4 too 6 weeks too get it
@@lacesout1199 not bad buddy congrats!
Just picked up mine in black!! mines a Z71 though. otherwise identical.

haze1123 i have it turned off on mine cause I don't like the shudder when the engine kicks on... feels like a standard trans stalling lol
What did you average fuel economy wise for the week you had the vehicle? Curious how it stacks up to the previous generation Silverado.
Great review, love the truck 💕
Top headlights remind me of a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2015-present
I would like it but heard bad things about it transmission goes bad on it
Great video, you did great explaining it.
Thank you! Loved filming it!

Though he was Jordan Peele for a second
Gorgeous!
Good review boss.
Just wanted to know what RST package gives you no extra options.?
When did Jessie Smollet start doing truck reviews?.
Dean Fleigle
😂
That’s probably a 3k lb trailer. If you loaded to the max you would be over 10k. I’m not even mad lol
Tho I dont see many new styles on road, tons of 1500 LD older model body styles on road.....why is that?....do chevy owners just prefer that look?
wow this is a whole year old but yes, my dad and i both have GMC sierras 2002, we just love how they look and also how reliable the engine and trans has been
There is absolutely no leather on the door panel..its soft touch plastic
53.000 dollars and no dual exhause I like the truck but no dual so in that case no buy.
No 4X4 is a DEAL BREAKER!! What was Chevy thinking? Ahhhh yes...they don't think anymore.
Miso Honey 4 wheel drive is an option on every truck this one doesn’t have it but GM definitely offers it but I agree it’s a deal breaker without it
I’ve never bought a 4x4 Chevy. I have always bought 2wd because I have absolutely zero use for 4x4. Not going to pay for something I won’t use.
Did the truck struggle with trailer full?
Great Review 👍👍
I like to know whats the top speed

Can you get a sunroof in this r ts model
Yasss
I don't want a sweaty butt unless it's freezing cold lol :)
That trailer ain't 10,000 lbs theres just no way bud. I would guess 2000 lbs
I hated chevys for awhile to much crome this is far sexier
Are these all stock features for RST?
No
That's the fart button
In conclusion, a truck I cannot afford:D
I find the seats are very firm and flat.
