The new Silverado ROCKS!!! And as far as the interior goes, who cares, but there is always someone who isn't happy until they've got something to Bitch about!
The 5.3 you get is based on trim level, not choice. WT and custom have the AFM 5.3 and LT and higher have the DFM 5.3. They are just using overstock powertrains from the 2018 model in the WT and custom, but most buyers get volume trims or higher, so they will all get the new 5.3
I really like the truck and I really didn’t at first. The 5.3 in the 6.2 are the two best engines will get in any vehicle in my opinion. That’s one of the biggest reasons I bought my 2012. It’s a simple efficient and powerful engine no double overhead cams and 2 miles of timing chain junk to worry about failing. We have a fleet of 6.0 Vortecs at work and they’re just about indestructible And that’s another reason I’m a fan of these LS engines they have out performed every other thing they have tried at work. I don’t think this truck will replace my 2012 z71 as it’s paid for but I do like it. It’s just sad you can’t get a manual In any trim level it would be pretty sweet with the 6.2 or the 5.3.
The one nice thing about Ram and Ford they offer a 33 & 36 gallon fuel tank option. That is a big plus on road trips and towing. The bed design on the Silverado is the best. Built in step on the bumper and the extra width inside the bed and the amount of tie downs. Better interior / 10 - speed auto standard / bigger gas tank = big winner!
Wow!! Thank you guys!! Another great review!! This truck grows on you, still like the F150 better on the interior but I'll say this Silverado looks just as good on the outside. Not a fan of this color combination but this baby on black has to be a head turner. Thumbs up! I approve!
I like the new Silverado. Dont know why people are hating the exterior design, as it is well done and very capable. Where people do have a point is the interior, RAM out did everbody with the interior while GM didnt advance the interior design. A big mistake on their part.
I gotta zonk the engine choices because they don't alow you to get that 6.2 in any trim accept the top 2 trim levels and the cylender deactivation I don't trust it not to fail and alow you to get full power when you need it
I just bought a 2021 RST with Z71 package. I couldn’t bet the deal. Was going to buy the Ram Laramie but Chevy wouldn’t let me walk out. The Silverado badge on the front finder doesn’t look good but the Z71 sure does.

I bought the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT It is an Oakwood metalic and I love it. And I like that they put the Silverado on the fender. And I like the gold bow tie on the steering wheel it don't blend in with the steering wheel it stands out I like that, And I like the dual glove box very cool. Chevrolet went above and be on when they design the new 2019 Silverado. And I have the Gold bow tie on the front of the chrome grill it stands out I like that. Love it. This guy in the video complains way to much.
Just a word of caution - the new 2019 Silverado-Sierra twins can NOT even be ordered or does NOT come with the “power brake and foot pedal” adjuster.... Think about such a large truck without this option....If you have short legs, you have to move up the seat close to the steering wheel, which has an airbag in it. This is normally a pretty standard option for most trucks (GM, Ram, Ford)...I own a 2017 Silverado, but some “bean counter” within GM axed this very useful feature......why?
I like that GM still has the good ole classic column shifter and not that electronic BS or floor mounted sports car BS. I have a 2014 GMC Sierra and that’s one of the reasons I like gm trucks, you get that new luxury features with a mixture of good ole classic American truck touches, HOWEVER, I think GM took a step back with interior quality with the new 2019 trucks , exterior looks great, interior not so much
Silverados don't get enough respect. Low truck, but great ground clearance. Moderate horsepower, but very competitive 0-60, and towing. No tiny turbos (before 2019) or 10 speed, yet great fuel economy. GM resale 2nd only to Toyota.
I love the new Silverado what is the trail boss is going to be like when it comes out in 2020 a very interested to see what they have change for it and the new 2500 seat for 2020

Another quality review. I don’t know about this new Silverado. I know design is all in the eye of the beholder. But to me... this all new Chevy truck is all struggle bus. And that interior especially is just not happening. I know it’s a truck. But man. The F150 and Ram both just blow this thing right out of the water. That’s a giant bowl of not good for GM. This is pretty nice, with the upper trim levels probably a lot nicer. But, these trucks are too big for me, even more so for parking and maneuvering in close quarters with fixed objects and structures, etc. Also, very expensive, especially for just an LT. I spotted the odd placement of the Silverado logo right away and agree, but I believe they can be removed. The 5.3L is more practical sn accurate, and the optional cylinder desctuvstion is a plus for the extra fuel economy as long as it does not cause problems. My 2006 Impala SS had that engine with that feature, albeit less horsepower, and 12 years prior. The 6.2L is just too much in cost and fuel consumption. The new turbo 4 is innovative, but always more potentisl.problems with a new engine, especially a smaller one with a turbo. We have yet to see. Front fsdcua is nice, but at first glance it was iffy, maybe with all that chrome. Great hooch and fender body lines, rear bumper steps and dampened tailgate with the wider bed. For the door panel, I am not a fan of woodgrain too much, buy blackwood is better. I don't like the textured pattern in the seat fabric, but great they have storage pockets behind both front seats. Good power and connection ports front and back, but zones to every new vehicle without a CD player, auxiliary audio input, and Android Auto uf ut has Apple Car Play, like the Toyota, or any the the above applies. Unusual, but dual glovebox are great to me. I often have lot of things to carry, so it's a plus. Exh as just note is nice, probably even better we with Flowmaster mufflers like my SS that got so much attention, especially with the remote start up. Power, ride and handling seems great. Just so expensive big, and high fuel costs, and registration fees because of the weight. And finally, the biggest consideration factor. If all the GM vehicles, other than the Buick Regal GS, I have basically written off all the passenger cars, even the ones I like because of price as equipped, and particularly reliable as ability, quality, and build, since GM has been cutting corners on materials and integrity of parts, and overall durability and reliability, compared to the many vehicles from other brands, particularly Ford, which I grew up not to like much. I would have considered the Colorado ZR2, or Z71, since I would probably rarely need the full use of the ZR2, and the extra height. The Ford Ranger may be better, even more so if they come out with that Raptor Ranger. I was looking forward to the new Blazer, but have heard so many reports of serious problems with the Traverse, that I would expect the Blazer to be the same. But full ad size trucks are good if you need the ruggedness, safety, and size to carry lots of cargo and people, and for trucks, I probably would only consider the GM, Ford and the Honda Ridgeline Blsck Edition and Toyota Tundra for full size trucks. For SUVs, the new Honda Passport Elite, Subaru Forester Sport, or the Ford Edge RS.

The interior is pretty much the same but it’s 10 k more, not worth it
Ugly truck!! Who thought that was a good design
Thank you so much for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
@@RaitisRides Hey, Soon I'm gonna buy me a truck like this
Looks good... Looks like one angry truck
@@ti10can Never mind that
@@ti10can Haha it ain't from Cars or Car's life
I guess I won’t be buying a new truck like this unless I can pay cash for it. I think they are bit of a rip off.
I feel your pain!
👍👍😎
Thanks for watching Don!
2019 Silverado hd is hideous. Dodge Ram have this truck beat by a mile and f150 blows this truck out of the water. Whats going on at China I mean General Motors?!# The interior uses high quality material but poor execution like it was design by Fisher-Price.
Thank you so much for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
Ram=poor Quality
Its leaking lmaooo
That was condensation for the AC.
Here we go again...ford knob gobbler reviewing a real truck, whats the matter , where is the pos bronco 2 i mean the kia wannabe
Nissan nd Chevy has the worst interiors omg especially the Chevy interior Nd don’t make me start with the exterior looks really horrible
I totally can see where you are coming from! Very good points!
Raiti's Rides did the paint pill off when u touch the truck?😂😂😂
I concur. The materials and design of the interior is atrocious.
Anderson Rodriguez hey bud, learn how to spell first then you can comment on a truck you can’t afford.
ScrewedUp FisherMan don’t need to kn how to spell to speak how I feel bout something aslong ppl get what I’m tryna say idc and I mean if Even it I can afford one not getting no Chevy product
