I'm in the drywall businesses we do the same thing with fast setting compound. If the customer bid cheapest they get cheap.i work with my brother, we separatly bid high and low and you get what you paid for. It's your own fault for bidding on the cheapest bidder. Stop trying to thing your so smart and you can get yourself a deal on your own. The local trades have been giving deals to grannies and taking from cheap skates for years...
Clearly this guy knows nothing of the Biz... If that used car dealer wants to pinch pennies, why is the guy fixing it... Called a Butcher? Go call the used car dealer a Cheap SOB and the guy fixing it.. Doing what he got paid to do! Getting it done! I been in the biz 27yrs and I seen them all and done all! I have more knowledge than guys in it 45yrs.. Cause I take my craft serious! But we aren't here to change some car dealers ways... We here to fix things and make them look good again. That's it! How it's fixed and how long it looks good, depends on the person paying! You order a $1 cheeseburger, I'm giving your arse a $1 cheeseburger... no more, no less!
I also did this to so many used cars in the 80s. Used car dealers want your money as cheap as they can get it.
