Still used image manipulation tough (increased sharpness/clarity/contrast on the shredded image, decreased on the out of shape one) It might be hard to pick up on, but if you are trained because of having worked with image editing it's impossible to unsee. Not saying he's untruthful in his video but manipulation like that always feels iffy.

    Sven, awesome video! Excellent work.
I bought your “body transformation” about 2 years ago. Unfortunately, calisthenics uncovered my AC joint arthritis, and after about a year I had to stop following your routines. I started making up my own routines, though, working around the injury. The shoulder hurts sometimes, but never during exercises, and over time it’s getting less and less painful over time despite still doing full workouts.
Anyway, You’re an inspiration! I’m nearly there! I’ve lost almost 70 pounds, my muscles are much bigger than they were! I have about 20 more pounds to lose to get to my goal of ~10-12% body fat. I should get there in about 5 more months, giver or take.
    Thank you!

    • @calimove

Hey I also had shoulder problems for quite a while. Working around the Injury is 100% right. I also suggest mobility and a lot of shoulder stability training (ruclips.net/video/0kX2yZmiWII/видео.html) In addition aim for a bit slower execution than usual.

Absolutely do NOT listen to them when it comes to physical therapy aspects. Look into proper orthopedists and PT's, Connor harris and Alex Effer are a good starting point - good onesd don't tell you to stretch, since it doesn't chang the biomechanical cause. Most of the tips they give out are extremely old and misinformed cues - i.e, mainstream garbage. Arthritis is extremely dependant on nutrition aswell. Look into that, start with thomas delauer and mark sisson. Question everything when it comes to health - especially the mainstream.

First of all, amazing return to an awesome physique. However, the fact that you got OUT of shape because you let your eating and workout habits slip is actually the more helpful part of the story - at least for me. We (calisthenics fans) typically see videos of shredded athletes doing nearly impossible exercises. They look awesome in every video, never seem to lose their focus and just get better every day. They have answers to all questions (do it like THIS, use MY plan to succeed etc) This shows me that even the best are not perfect in that departmemt :). Which is encouraging. I firmly believe that mental strength, discipline, ability to control yourself (mind over body)...whatever you want to call it... is as important as genetics for the people who are at the top of their sport. That mental component is probably even more important for the average calisthenics athlete who just wants to stay in shape, chase some goals and enjoys the exercise. Its easy to slip and happens to all of us, but that's not a reason to give up. Anyway, thanks for the post and video.

I realised that after I started following my first meal plan. I found it online, Next Level Diet iirc. At first it was tought to eat an excessive amount of calories, but eventually I got used to it. Good diet is a game changer!!

This video shows so many things: Even the most advanced athletes are humans and can have periods where they have low motivation and drop out. You're basically proving to the world that on a mental aspect it can happen to anyone to have low motivation moments. You're also proving that fixing your nutrition is a key component for achieving body-looks goals and that there isn't a magical pill that fixes it. It also takes time, in your case 7 months, so you're debunking all fitness myths and lies that the fitness industry tries to sell nowadays. That alone, as a health professional, I thank you for promoting to millions watching your videos, the correct and proper way to get in proper health. I'm personally a simple guy.
I can eat the same things all the time.
You just need to make sure it has all the nutrients u need.
Then you can sprinkle in a few meals her and there for variation or cheat meals.
This keeps things very simple when you are shopping too.
Making things simple means it's very easy to do all year, which is what's needed if you want results.

I will hopefully have a job starting next month, and get my first pay in about two months. Then, i hope i will be able to plan a simple diet that helps me lose the extra 10kg covid fat.

@@SnowmansApartment Okay that makes sense why u struggle then.
But losing the weight now is no excuse.
      Simply add in some fasting.
Like not eating on Sundays and just consume water, coffee or tea and then eat all meals within 6-8h during the other days will do the trick.
I have sixpack all year round from just this simple trick and it becomes easy after just a few weeks.
Try skip breakfast and only eat two meals.
One at noone and then dinner.
Overall you eat the same amount of calories, but it will adjust your body in a huge way.
The body is not designed to eat around the clock and have constant high insulin.

I guess I need to start diet now. I've been doing weight and calisthenics for 8 months and now I'm "muscle fat" like the before picture.
My problem is I have to get up at 6am, work 8-5, and don't get dinner till 6pm at least. Fasting was great when we were locked at home. Going 18+ hours without eating is brutal.

Goals! Awesome stuff there! I started back up 4 months ago (after taking over 2 years off). Got serious with it 2 months ago, quit smoking (been smoking for over 25 years) and my weekly beer drinking. I cross train and road n mountain bike, eat clean n healthy, and train pretty much every day as active rest days still constitutes training. I started running again and counting calories/macros (something I've never done before) and since Nov of last year to now, I went from close to 240lbs to around 210 as of now (I'm 5' 10"). At 44, I feel great. I know I have a long way to go to hit a solid, lean, and powerful 195lbs. But I look forward to it. It's been an awesome fitness journey.
Keep up the great stuff you do! Much respect! 🤟🤟🤟

I agree because you don't just go from being disciplined and consistent for a matter of years to uñdo everything you worked hard for in matter of months. Plus when you have been eating certain foods such as clean eating for a long time your taste buds no longer desire processed or sweet foods unless your intentionally trying to force feed yourself that kind of crap. And 3rd when. The pandemic hit most people where worried about how they where going to maintain their gains/ physiques without a gym and being Sven does calithenstic movement training he doesn't necessarily need a gym hes creative enough to know how to workout without a gym. so yes I agree he did this intentionally to make a video down the line nonetheless he shows a lot of resilience and discipline to get back to his true self.

Damn that's a sick cut dude. I'm soon halfway through my own cut now and currently down 5.7 kgs,. Seeing what you achieved really gave me a motivation boost.
I will add that one thing that I think is really important: after every diet/cut there needs to be a focus on finding the new normal. A lot of people reach their target weight and immediately fall back into the bad habbits that lead them to having to diet in the first place.
I personally set a very specific period for cutting, like now I'm doing a 4 month cut. I'll set a goal range for each month, and then plan my diet so that I stay within that range. And in the end whatever my result is after those 4 months, the cut is over and I'll focus a lot on being happy with the progress I've made.
Then the next period starts, which is a 2 month process of finding a new normal maintainance. I will be a lot less strict with my diet during this period, but I will keep a constant eye on my weight and if it starts going up again I find out why and what I can do to stop it.
After that I'll either go into a strength build/bulk, or just stick to maintaining depending on my goals.

      No it's not that simple.
Calories from sugar and calories from healthy fats or protein will do different things to your hormones and enzymes and gut bio + insulin.

I'm simply referring to the oneliner comment of yours in the OP.
Not about what some ppl do and what others don't.
What I said applies to everyone.
A calorie is not is not the same depending on what it arrives from.
It has zero to do with macros.
I was speaking of sugar vs fat and protein.
      I'm not a English speaker.
But I'm somewhat sure that macros is not about those things right?
So once you understand what I was saying in my first comment, then you will understand why your second response is completely meaningless, just like your first post.
I'm not here to debate it.
I'm simply pointing out the latest science and knowledge on the matter.
If you want to laugh it off, then that's on you.
By your theory, then he would just have needed to cut down on his junkfood and have gotten the same result, since the calories would have been the same then.
That's not exactly how the body operates though.
So saying it's all about calories in and out is false, since it actually depends on what type of calories you consume.
Some calories the liver and body will burn right away and others can be toxic to the body in large amount and have a negative effect on weight loss because it will make you more hungry and not able to keep it up.
So even if what u say is somewhat true, it's still wrong because it does not work in the real world.

    • @abhisheksmishra_
      @abhisheksmishra_ 2 года назад +1

@@luffebassen *Bro I already understood that you want to say, but macros are the most important part of calories, take an example, if you're 100gm of peanut butter and 100gms of milk, both are 100gms but the macros are different, peanut butter have fat to protein ratio of 2:1 it contains 55gms of fat and 26 gms of protein, whereas the most toned packaged milk contains 1:1 means protein and fats are equal, so the thing I'm saying is not wrong at any cost, most junk foods are High in calories because it contains oil and oil is 99% fat and 1gm of fat have 9 Calories that's why junk foods are High in calories, and the people who really knows to count their Calories they count their macros as well to fullfill their proteiy, fat and carbs intake*
*So it's not just the matter of Calories, it's the matter of macros as well🙏*

As a PT and nutrition coach I help out a lot of people with problems like this but most part that hurts is the low self-esteem because of how they think they look and should look. Error.
But I knew I was over 350 once the scale began to register my weight in the high 340s.
Got down to 205 in 2013.
Divorce and a bunch of drama caused me to get back up to 320~330 in 2018.
Now, I'm between 180~190 depending on what I eat and how much I street dance.
I still have a bunch of spare skin stretch marks, saggy man boobs etc, but im also muscular - you can see my upper chest nicely, but the stretched skin from my lower pecs just hang beneath my shirt.
