they need that virtual keyboard to stick to a real table. Then you would have tactile feedback. like the laser keyboard that I never typed on, even if it is a two finger hunt and peck.
I think another way to think about this is Apple spent 10B plus on initial R&D so if they sell 160,000 units you’re paying 3,500 for a 63,000 device.
No I’m not o just simple like it too much . Expensive but just it’s an amazing product . Had it since day 1 (feb2)

Regarding Samsung and game notifications, are we certain that the blame shouldn't be directed to carrier bloatware? I only purchased unlocked devices and love the recent Samsung experience and have yet to ever get an unsolicited Samsung ad. That said; the one time we got our parents devices through the carrier, they are inundated with ads and carrier requests to install games. So irritating. Unlocked devices is definitely the way to go. Very minimal redundant Samsung apps. And some are arguably useful.
Keeping mine....I mainly use it for 3D movies at the moment but we all know more apps will come. Also we know there won't be a Vision Pro 2 for at least 2-3 years so I'm gonna ride the AVP train and see where it goes. I had the first iPhone and don't regret that either.

Yea. The immersion experience for video content is pretty incredible on the Vision Pro
We had a family gtg yesterday and I spent 2 hours giving folks demos.
Dino Encounter, Disney+ 3D movies, everyone was blown away at the experience.
Keeping mine as well, also iPhone 1 early adopter. While I spend time in video immersion, I get work done on mine as well.
I have all quest device. Quest 3 is a chrome book. And Vision Pro is a Mac book pro
Lol quest 1 was a Samsung s8 chip so the comparison is not good.
I’m so glad I bought the belkin battery clip. I didn’t no it had a strap in the box until you said this. Just had to go dig it out of the trash
This is the first step into ai guided cloud computing. The heavy compute is off device. This is just a portal from our 2 dimensional experience today
I’m a vr gamer. I know use vr all day. I tried before with quest but it was just to hard. Now I’m in it all the time with Vision Pro
The thing is. Is the vision pro better because it's 3500$? Could a 3500$ quest be as good? Does Apple move the needle or do anything different or is their experience better because they brought a more expensive and therefore higher quality product but to a smaller market? I think quest strikes a balance and if they were willing to spend and charge nearly 4k you'd get pretty close
They’d need to go back to the drawing board with the UI and idk if money can fix that, the Quest ecosystem is terrible outside of gaming and the overall user experience it’s a incoherent mess, there’s not cohesion, is a pain to do simple tasks and despite how much they want to claim, it is not worth the friction to do anything meaningfully productive. That’s apples edge, the simple experience is so enjoyable. Even $3500 wouldn’t change metas bad design sensibilities, better hardware with the same crap UI. VisionOS is actually useable.
l212 that's a good point. Apple does do UI fairly well and meta has a long way to go.
@@lilmichael212 They don't need much to fix their UI. Just don't expect them to dumb it down to the Fisher-Price user experience that Apple fans adore.
It's kind of like a 1000 dollar pizza. Yeah theoretically it's the best pizza ever but it's value is up to you lol
Apple has a full-circle ecosystem for its customers where all of your content and media sync across your devices seamlessly. For developers, they can write one app in Swift and in seconds, port it to every single Apple platform, be it iOS, iPadOS, macOS, or Apple TV. Meta doesn’t have those things. So could Meta build the hardware? Absolutely. But they don’t have the ecosystem and that’s what really matters. Give developers some time and we’ll see Vision Pro surpass Meta just as iPhone surpassed Android despite the cheaper prices of Android devices. I mean, ask yourself this - as an Apple user, would you spend $3500 on a “Meta Quest Max”, or a $3500 Vision Pro? Meta knows the answer to this question which is why they will never make one. Apple did. They are targeting two different markets, but if you have the money, the choice is clear between the two.

The dev dongle is a new right or left side strap. You remove your original left strap/headphone. That’s why it cost so much. It has a headphone attached to it
well they dont want anyone and everyone to buy it and also $99 a year. Its the only way currently to revert your firmware.

The Vision Pro is simple to sum up. It’s an iPad replacement in 3D space. Not 2d screen

Have you seen the digital typing research meta is doing in the labs. Its inside. The guy can type on a blank table in vr. At over 100 wpm. Go check the video out. Meta showed it off like a year ago
Until we don't need cameras and a screen strapped to our heads this is not the future. It's too isolating. This tech needs to be your own eyes looking at the world with an overlay. But I will say the meta quest is right now the way to go.

I see you haven't used VR/AR. It works amazingly well and already have a proven function like gaming that even surpassed mouse and keyboard in shooters as well as sport games
Yall are giving the AVP too muxh credit. You have to go out of your way to justify the price. Its a beta product, a macbook is a better computerz a tv is a better watching experience and your phone is a better camera. Come on guys, you're better than that
Sorry I gotta disagree with you there in my experience unless you have an extremely expensive tv , it is not a better watching experience actually doesn’t even come close in my book compared to what you can do in Vision Pro sorry , the other ones well your probably right there lol
