That means a lot, thank you! I have a fun reactions video with friends and family coming out this week, then I'm going to focus on really using it long term and will provide a "review" when ready!
I had to do the same thing. Also, the eye tracking and Optic ID slightly changes when you switch straps, so I would redo them if you have trouble after switching straps.
Great to hear your thoughts! For backspace, you can look at the text floating above the virtual keyboard and an inline backspace button appears there that you can use to delete while seeing what you’re deleting.
Might have been mentioned already, but when you're trying to delete text, if you just look at the text preview field, a delete icon shows up. You can look at the text while you're deleting it.
With a little more use, this reviewer will get it. Spatial Computing is for multi-tasking, multi-monitor users who don't like to be chained to their desk and office. Interacting with a device where you don't need a keyboard, mouse, touch pad, or multiple monitors will become second nature. Soon, you will have fewer and fewer need to use your laptop, iPads (mini, larger), or space taking monitors. I really love being able to go out of my office, where my family is, and sit in an easy chair while working!
Just a heads up, you can use the sideways arrow next to the text field when your looking at it to delete one character at a time instead of constantly clicking the delete button. It'll save you from having to look down at the button every time.
I hope a big name director takes a chance on making a film designed for AVP. A full 180-degrees of 3D that puts you in the action would be amazing, especially if there's limited 6-DOF as well, meaning you can actually move around in the scene to a degree. This would definitely be easier in a PIXAR style animated film, since the assets are generally made in 3D as is. Obviously to move around in the scene it would have to render in real time, which does add a serious power requirement. But I am convinced it could be done! thanks for the spatial video tip. i'll make sure i film key moments while keeping my phone still. i may not got a vision pro anytime soon, but one day down the line i may, and i wanna make sure i can see important moments in spatial video.
This is a well-balanced review, I'm kind of annoyed that the YT'bers talk about how this is a game-changer and it will change the world forever. I'm still waiting for the AVP to become something you can share with people around you, instead of yourself, like you correctly said, it's great to watch a movie in your headset but it's always better to watch the same movie on TV with family, friends etc, I'm curious what Apple has planned for that route.
Thanks for that. And I can imagine an "immersive SharePlay" experience where maybe you can see someone else's digital persona sitting in the theater with you?
agreed - virtual typing is awkward. I connected a Magic Keyboard and track pad which made the typing just like a on Mac. But, you need to sit at a desk or table to do this so you can't work on a couch or other non-work area unless you want to balance the keyboard on your lap.
If Apple would write a check for ChatGPT and replace Siri with that.. you can talk and have conversations with the device at that point and typing wouldn't an issue. In the backspace scenario typing and editing becomes even better because instead of moving a mouse, placing a cursor and hitting delete and typing more letters to replace ... you just say, "replace the word green with blue." And viola the edit is complete. Granted this assumes you are the only person in a room ... but in home office situations I don't think that would be an issue.
@@beardfmat least what I’ve heard time and again is that apple is trying to crack offline LLM/AI. Or at least crack cheap processing llm ai that they could put in iPhones or all apple products. I'm one of those who bought it with returning it in mind if it didn't blow me away. The Adventure film blew me away. I can't imagine more films like that in the future. Sold.
the real game changer will be movies in immersive video, imagine being able to put pause in some sci-fi movie in the middel of space and being able to rotate the spaceship right in the moment is taking a huge impact from asteroid. imagine animated movies and explore whole scenes in 3d. colony simulation games where you can be the same size of your villagers, and walk into a building, or an RPG and talk to Geralt having it 1:1 proportion with you. We are going to need more cores, more GPU and in graphene to reach those levels.
Only did the demo so they showed a smash cut of all their immersive experiences and totally agree on the fidelity of the highwire lady in yellow. It was unreal clear. Honestly rest of the trailers looked grainy, im guessing that used a very expensive rig to pull off. I dont think 99% of the immersive experience style videos will look that great in the headset. Wish it had some internal upscaling/supersampling to help other vids out
Eye tracking is very good. If yours wasn’t, an adjustment was likely required. Also you don’t have to look at the delete key the whole time you delete. The virtual keyboard allows you to look at the text there, closer, even when deleting. Finally, you can use a keyboard and trackpad so, if you wanted a more traditional interface, you could have that.
Yeah I've been wondering if I should just get a Magic Keyboard specifically to use with Vision Pro. And discovered the delete on keyboard shortcut soon after. Thanks!
I watch 3D movies (no compression artifacts) with Atmos Surround sound through my home theatre sound system and that is an amazing experience all with my $250 quest 2 and windows PC. I probably spent the same amount of money to get there but it’s Atmos!! 😂 I’m glad you are hyped about the experience because hopefully that will bring 3D movies back into the fray because I LOVE the 3D movie experience!!
@@beardfm the interesting thing is, I don’t think a lot of people take advantage of the 3D movie watching on the quest either even if the own one! It’s not the most difficult thing to do but there is a learning curve and most people don’t either have the know how or don’t want to invest the time to experience it. I also hope to experience a 3D movie on the Vision Pro some day. It’s just outside of my budget as a stand alone headset. The other thing is, the Atmos surround sound isn’t possible without the quest link via PCVR. It pretty much the only reason why I built a PC was to experience it. No regrets there.
@@beardfm I have a Quest 3 and a Quest Pro. Went for a Vision Pro demo today and I was slightly skeptical. I have owned 80% of the consumer VR headsets that have hit the market since the Oculus Dev kit, so I have seen the tech develop. Every new device is hailed as "it" and then I try it and see the improvement, but am always a bit disappointed given the surrounding hype. I have to say that the fidelity of the Vision Pro took me completely by surprise. It is like nothing that I have experienced so far in VR. It made me feel like, "oh, this is what it looks like when this technology is truly ready for the general public versus enthusiasts like me. The Apple attendant started laughing because I just blurted out "This is ridiculous," in truly impressed astonishment while viewing the immersive videos. I didn't buy it, but I came close. I told her that I needed to step away, give myself some objective distance and then make a decision. That's why I am online now watching different video reviews. As a VR vet who has loved every bit of the journey since the OG Oculus Dev Kit, I have to say that from a visual fidelity perspective (UI, Immersive Videos, Text) the Vision Pro is on another level than anything else on the market right now. It 'feels' like experiencing VR content in HD vs SD. One note on the passthrough for anyone with an existing mixed reality headset - The Apple Store was very well lit and the passthrough was much better than my Vision Pro or Quest 3, but but not yet retina quality. There was also some motion blur when I moved my head. I experienced this when I first started the demo, and had that familiar feeling of "this is better than what has come before, but not yet WOWing me" that I tend to have with new VR hardware. By the time that I got to the immersive environments and the immersive videos, though, I was feeling real joy. I had the same experience with the Rhino, where I moved back, and that really got me, because I have long since moved past that kind of reaction in other VR experiences. I would say to anyone interested, even if you don't intend to drop the crazy amount of money this costs, it's worth doing a demo.
@@nuprophettI understand the quality thing but given your experience and owning Q3 what would you use the AVP for ? I love my Q3 especially in PCVR and the joys of MSFS2020 and AMS2 but for watching big flat screen videos and extended PC / MAC screens the novelty wore off ages ago. So hence my question.
Hey Stephen, thank you for the great review of your first impressions. I think it’s important to try to actually use a device for an extended period of time before giving definitive thoughts that can influence thousands of users. Also, it’s okay to just call it “Vision Pro”. Keep up the great work.
If you want to delete while looking at your text, you can do it, but you have to hold the delete button you can’t tap it. Because each time you tap it, the cursor moves, but if you look at delete hold and look up your file.
The next phase will be amazing AR integration. For instance, if you are in a store and pick up an item (like a box of Cheerios), you will immediately see 1 - the price , 2 - the price of Amazon and delivery time, and 3 - the price per unit comparison of other items in your field of view (ie the other size boxes of Cheerios and brands of toasted oats cereals). What other AR features do you think will be released?
Im no going to lie, my number one reason for getting this is to watch movies...... that why I got the 1TB one. I bet when the first big firmware update it will just get better...
I'm assuming that jacket was from a time traveler from 2056 who came back to see the first Vision Pro (all people over the age of 3 months are required to wear a Vision Pro 24/7 starting in 2051). Stephen stole the jacket, but he didn't realize that this was the jacket assigned to criminals and politicians. Don't go to 2056 Stephen!
I've been flying a lot recently, and I'm going to feel weird wearing that thing on my head on the plane. Even inside the airport. All kind of eyes will be on me. Mines ships out soon and will have it in a few days
Probably the most honest video I’ve seen. I’m guessing some RUclipsrs can’t be too critical as they won’t be getting the next new device from Apple before release date. I’m still not convinced about it to be honest and I do believe in the future either Apple or a 3rd party will develop controllers for games. As without games - real games, the novelty of putting that on to edit a video you can do easier on a Mac, or watch a movie when you’ve a huge TV in your front room, will slowly wear off.
Great video. I’ve watched a ton of these and I still can’t get a clear picture of when you’re able to use a Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad. Apple stressed productivity so much in their keynote. I keep seeing people pecking away at that virtual keyboard and wonder… WHY? Why would I ever use that when I’m trying to be productive? I’d either use Siri or an external keyboard. Are there keyboard limitations you guys experienced but didn’t tell us about? I wouldn’t use Siri on a plane but you bet a portable keyboard/mouse combo.
I just tested after publishing this, but you can't pair any bluetooth keyboard with Apple Vision Pro. Only Magic Keyboard is seems. I tried to connect a Keychron bluetooth keyboard and it said it's not compatible. And for most people, if they have a Magic Keyboard it's probably being used for a Mac already, like my Mac Studio.
The glare when watching movies in a dark environment is extremely distracting. Movie watching was the best reason for me to keep this but it’s hard to overlook that.
Prediction: a future iteration of the Vision will allow you to link two or more headsets and watch movies with friends. Not just watching the same film, but projecting each others Personas into your headset so you can look over and see them sitting next to you. Ideally, the headsets wouldn’t need to be in the same space. You could watch the same movie in the same virtual theater with four friends all in different parts of the world.
Seems like something that would be really cool for $300 maybe $500 but $3500 is a joke at this point. Saw another vid were it leaves these awful looking marks on your face. If they could make it just like regular looking glasses that would be much better but I guess we are like at least 10 years from putting that much power into something like glasses. As for watching movies my 75in tv dose just fine and others can enjoy the movie with me.
Thanks for the well considered review of this device. I'm unlikely to buy one, but I own several other Apple products. One thing that has absolutely ruined my enjoyment of Apple devices, is the fact that a good 90% of all third party apps now insist on subscriptions. Admittedly this seems to have spread into all areas of software on other platforms. From what you've seen for Vision Pro apps, have subscriptions taken a back seat?
Do yall think apple are going to make a controller for hardcore gamer. What your thought on that? you probably thinking I was thinking about Bluetooth controller like the PS5 or Xbox but I'm actually talking about VR controller like quest 3
You said even if two people have Vision Pro they can’t see but if you FaceTime someone with a Vision Pro you can do a feature called spatial face time and if you screen share with spatial FaceTime you can watch movies with your friends in it
Movies are the best experience on here, and the most immersive I've ever experience (aside from those dome-like IMAX theaters). It would be how I prefer to watch movies at home and when traveling!
It displays the Mac as a 4K display, no matter what physical display the Mac is connected to. And you can scale the window in AR space but it remains the same aspect ratio.
Hey there nice little video! 👍🏻 this is the first time that I seen somebody call out discovering a hidden 3-D stereoscopic camera in one of apples first party experiences for the AVP. Watching this on a phone I wasn’t able to make out exactly what it was, but does that lens possibly look like the special canon stereoscopic lens? Which if it does lead me to wonder, did Canon come out with that lens a few years back specifically based off of a request from Apple for a compact 3-D stereoscopic camp capture system? I’m just projecting and the canon lens was developed for a different Director a few years ago and just happens to be used by Apple to record some of these experiences. Thank dictation for any grammatical errors.
I'll have to look into the Canon thing, and I'm not sure the lens is something special or if it's just the processing of filming two streams of video with a set distance a part
Thanks for the video. Is it actually NOT possible to mirror/connect the IPhone / IPad to the Vision Pro ? I only ever see connections to a Mac in the videos, what about connections to the other Apple devices?
So, it's not even possible to stream the screen of an iPhone or iPad to the desktop of the Vision Pro via Air play? Too bad, I thought it would be possible to use the Apple Pencil by using the Ipad as an input device e.g. for Procreate or Nomad Sculpt - and of course for handwriting...@@beardfm
What is the average size of a 2 hour movie? What is the size of the largest sized game? I ordered the 256gb, but contemplating if I should exchange it to the 512gb. I’ll love to hear your recommendation please.
Super easy! I got ZEISS inserts, they magnetically attach and you pair them by looking at a QR code. I show the whole process here: ruclips.net/user/liveRNk00TT7gzo?si=Oj0UkusmGnwrHFbm
Hi, can you confirm that you can bring any Mac with Apple Silicon screen into Vision Pro or is just MacBook with Apple Silicon? You did say continuity in Vision Pro works with Apple Mac Studio Desktop, didn’t you? Also will any Bluetooth keyboard and mouse works with Vision Pro or only Apple Magic Keyboard, mouse and trackpad?
Yes it works with any Apple Silicon Mac, I'm using it with my Mac Studio right now! And I tried to pair a Keychron bluetooth keyboard but it says it's not compatible.
Thanks for confirming Stephen! That is reassuring. However it is weird that not all Bluetooth keyboards or mouse can be used. I suppose If the Bluetooth devices work with Macs and iPads on Continuity, they should also work with Continuity in VisionOS. Strange. Maybe should confirm it with Apple Support.
I think that a lot of your feedback is the kind of thing Apple and developers will appreciate and use to improve the product which in some form does have a future I’m sure but you really made me laugh when you suggested that as it gets improvements like 360 immersion and becomes lighter - it will become cheaper. When did anything Apple makes get better over iterations and become cheaper? If it hit the market as first gen at baseline $3500 the price has no where to go but up with significant feature enhancements.
I did a video, years ago, about how the vignette issue could be resolved and called it "The Tropics Problem." It's fixable. It's really fixable. But I have yet to see a headset even address it properly.
same - think about how nearly the entire planet has never properly seen a 3D movie until vision pro... it's always been dimmed by glasses. insane. @@beardfm
Its hilarious, you literally could watch 3D VR180 videos with a $20 Google cardboard device almost a decade ago.. All these "tech" reviewers being amazed by it in 2024 is maddening.. I get it the AVP is much higher resolution, but come on..
360 would not be amazing. I think they got the immersive videos right. Most people don't want to crane their neck around or need a swivel chair to use a headset. Also many people just want to SIT. We're hurtling toward Wall-E, don't make my headset experience a workout. I might burn a calorie.
Your first video u were so worried about ur “hair being messed up” don’t worry we know ur going bald. That u we’re so conscious and kept fixing it that u didn’t focus on the Vision Pro 😂
"Personal" is a great way to sidestep saying "isolating". I am fascinated by this device. I think everyone recognizes that the wide adoption of something like this will change human culture forever. Smart phones have provided a small preview of things to come. The immersive, addictive nature of a Vision Pro is going to take over people's lives. Once our income streams get linked to the use of a augmented reality devices, it's game over.
You’re isolated behind a screen as you read this comment at this very moment. The future is now, in a few years instead of everybody looking down at their phones nonstop. They’ll all have glasses and be looking forward. You’re all addicted to technology, i remember everyone saying nobody wanted a phone with a touch screen, and keyboard black berries were king. You have no control of your body, you are a number. You already live in an Orwellian world. Sadly escape is the only next step with how bad the climate is going to get.
Turned the video off in the first 30 seconds. If you went into it already with your mind made up that it wasn’t for you before even trying it, then I can't trust you - even if you did change your mind. Nope.
Funny thing is, pretty much everybody changes their mind about something eventually. And we all have preconceived notions, like you did for the rest of my video 😉
@@beardfm I am not sure you know what a preconceived notion is. Yes, people change their minds all the time, but to have your mind made up BEFORE even trying a product hurts you as a tech reviewer. You lost my trust so I no longer cared for anything you had to say. I think most folks trying to gain followers would get that and be better in the future, and then there is you.
I have to question your objectivity. Vision Pro has unacceptable battery life, unacceptable weight distribution, you can only use one Mac screen, and it sucks for software development. You never articulate HOW someone could justify blowing $4,000 on a proof of concept toy which is uncomfortable to wear for long periods and looks weird. Just WHERE are those use cases you spoke of?
Yes, I get it, EXPERIENCES, EXPERIENCES, EXPRERIENCES...And...4000 bucks down the drain and no VR immersive games? Isn't that what every VR user hates: not enough AAA games and too many "experiences"? AVP: great device of limited application. That just about sums it up. I want to be transported to another world by the magic of VR, and this does not come close to achieving it.
My family are huge apple sheeps, but this time... I think god they are not gonna burn the money on this thing. Would be super weird seeing my family every day with this thing. I can picture 2024 in us... I got a bad feeling. A lot of rich idiots will take it to "the next level.."
I don't like using it around the family for sure, but for all the moments where I'm working in the office solo or watching something by myself, it's great
You said Quest 2 lool the Quest 3 cost $500 and does everything the vision pro does but without the eye tracking feature and also has a smaller Field Of View which mean you will see less can you do a direct comparison between thisnheadset and the Quest 3 feature for feature as the Quest 3 offers 95% of the features that this headset offers and will offer more as Meta always updates their headsets with new features nearly every month so the headset just get better and better and I can watch back spatial videos filmed on my iPhone 15pro and Meta has now made it natively compatible and I wouldn't be surprised if Meta brings Beat Saber to the Vision Pro I use my Macbook Pro with my Quest 3 and it's ridiculously good and you have to have a well lit room if you are using any of them headsets as they don't do well in low light environments apple's next headset the vision air will be much better and cost under $1000 as they are cutting out certain features like eye sight
What u just said doesnt even make sense vision pro is packed with better specs 2 chips eye tracking better app lock so how is quest 3 better or cheaper vision air that will come out ? Yall need to accept vision pro is the best out yet why yall so pressed about it ? Yes the price sucks but for a reason the specs
Based on your reviews, this is NOT SPATIAL COMPUTING device as much as it is a costly personal entertainment device that can provide you with the best VR, 3D and movie watching experience. Is it worth US$4K for a personal entertainment device? Not sure "I" get it.
This is one week into version 1 and what we have seen so far is incredible, warts and all. I remember all the fart apps in the first version of the app store so I know that app devs are going to jump on this, just like they did for the iphone and ipad (clearly anyone who buys an Vision Pro will spend money for profession quality apps). I haven't been this excited since 2007 !
Yeah, I have always figured that this should be thought of as a display/monitor, it makes sense price wise if you compare it to an LG G3 or an Apple XDR Display...the fact that it is a macbook air or iPad Pro on top of that is a bonus, and then on top of that, you get cool VR stuff potentially. It definitely has trade offs, but if you compare it to a home theater (around $10k, most people spend $17k), it is an amazing deal, and I am sure its only going to get more capable over time.
A $3500 monitor? Imagine if Apple made something truly groundbreaking & affordable. If people just want to watch videos on there headset they can do that with smart phone goggles. The dumbest thing about this is it isolates you from others & seeing other peoples reactions is part of the fun. Its not an option for gaming either.
What is the average size of a 2 hour movie? What is the size of the largest sized game? I ordered the 256gb, but contemplating if I should exchange it to the 512gb. I’ll love to hear your recommendation please.
Thank you. I own one and to date, your assessment is the most realistic one I've viewed. The only other Apple device I own is the iPad Mini Pro for my work as a pro photographer. I purchased this primarily to escape from the realities of life when I want to relax.
totally agree about the apple immersive videos. The thing that concerns me is - how much of this immersive content will be generated? Doesn't seem like Apple sold a whole lot of these - did they sell enough to allow Apple to keep generating this type of content? Will 3rd parties make content like this?
a gadget of smart glasses for someone else to able to see the exact same screen would be an AMAZING gadget. pair up the glasses to the AVP and you're able to see the screen and environment but not manipulate since its per se the "owner's lobby". the only thing left would be being able to pair a second set of AirPods and BOOM! solved for guests
Eye tracking is great for me. Maybe the fact that one of your eyes is higher than the other plays into your experience. Don’t blame your flaws on Apple 🙂
great video! one thing tho, when using the macbook as a display or the macstudio , you can use your keyboard and mouse to control any vision pro app around you ,its incredible how it knows the position of the windows and shows the cursor (like when using the mouse on an ipad from the mac). it's surreal. I'm using Discord, telegram, slack, all of them in vision pro, surrounding my macbook air display, on my bed, watching youtube and enjoying this thing so much. Also on the keyboard, you can use the mac keyboard but there's on vision pro a "text preview" line on top of the virtual keyboard that lets you delete something on the spot. Hope this helps! great video! thanks for sharing.
Yes, that's pretty sweet! I haven't gotten it to work consistently (dragging my cursor from the Mac display to visionOS app, but it's pretty sweet when working!

I'm one of those who bought it with returning it in mind if it didn't blow me away. The Adventure film blew me away. I can't imagine more films like that in the future. Sold.
Would love to see underwater immersive video too!
the real game changer will be movies in immersive video, imagine being able to put pause in some sci-fi movie in the middel of space and being able to rotate the spaceship right in the moment is taking a huge impact from asteroid.
imagine animated movies and explore whole scenes in 3d.
colony simulation games where you can be the same size of your villagers, and walk into a building, or an RPG and talk to Geralt having it 1:1 proportion with you.
We are going to need more cores, more GPU and in graphene to reach those levels.
The movie experience is incredible for sure. Super Mario Bros. in 3D is an awesome experience
I wonder what it's like to watch older movies with AVP such as "Aliens" (1986) or "Pink Flamingos" (1972).
Will try it! If they're available in 4K I'm sure they would look incredible
Great video! 😊
Thanks man!
All I see are smiles & that is extremely important, Spending 3500 on a version 1 device is a big ask but when they get the price down just wait
Thanks!
7:39 - what you described reminded me of theBlu on the Vive. That first time when you see the humpback whale coming towards you is crazy bananas.
Ah I never got to try that, sounds amazing though. Underwatch / ocean content would be great on Vision Pro
Great review Stephen! The rehearsal experience looks really cool!
Thank you! And it really was incredible. Highly recommend!
I hadn't experienced 3D movies on quest, but I would be curious what you think of the fidelity on the Apple Vision Pro comparatively.
Quest 2 isn't that great for movies because of the lens and cheap LCD, but Quest 3 is a lot better. Definitely worth upgrading to that.
Appreciate that, thank you for watching!
If you want to delete while looking at your text, you can do it, but you have to hold the delete button you can’t tap it. Because each time you tap it, the cursor moves, but if you look at delete hold and look up your file.
Apparently there's an arrow next to the text preview that allows you to delete too. Will do more testing!
Lol I moved back when trying the Rhino demo too in the Apple store, I was embarrassed but now I'm glad I'm not the only one who got tripped out
haha it was amazing! Really felt like they were about to bump into me
The rhino video it’s so immerse. Literally
That would be great. I feel like repairs on vehicles and other objects, architecture, etc
Im no going to lie, my number one reason for getting this is to watch movies...... that why I got the 1TB one. I bet when the first big firmware update it will just get better...
It's the most compelling use case right now!
Fantastic as always Stephen, also i love that jacket and your glasses!
Thank you! One Bone jacket and Warby Parker glasses
I've been flying a lot recently, and I'm going to feel weird wearing that thing on my head on the plane. Even inside the airport. All kind of eyes will be on me. Mines ships out soon and will have it in a few days
Curious if you choose to wear it! Probably the best use case at the moment.
Subbed & Liked! Enjoyed the video! Good work & God bless in 2024!
Appreciate that! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Appreciate that. And I'm curious how often I use it in day-to-day life as well. Going to spend a week or so with it and do a deeper review.
@@beardfm thank you. That explains a lot.
Another great video. Well done.
Appreciate it!
With deleting, Can you ask siri to delete last 6 spaces? And can you stop Siri after 5 spaces? Great video 🤩
Oh great idea. I’ll try and follow up!
The glare when watching movies in a dark environment is extremely distracting. Movie watching was the best reason for me to keep this but it’s hard to overlook that.
Do you still experience that in immersive environments or Apple's cinema?
Prediction: a future iteration of the Vision will allow you to link two or more headsets and watch movies with friends. Not just watching the same film, but projecting each others Personas into your headset so you can look over and see them sitting next to you. Ideally, the headsets wouldn’t need to be in the same space. You could watch the same movie in the same virtual theater with four friends all in different parts of the world.
You literally can already do this on the quest 3 using big screen. You literally have been able to do this since the quest 1
As for watching movies my 75in tv dose just fine and others can enjoy the movie with me.
years in the future it probably will be closer to actual glasses, and then compelling for the masses.
If that headset changed your life that says more about your life than the headset.
I think many developers are hesitant to do subscriptions with a first gen device. I’m seeing more one time purchases
Do yall think apple are going to make a controller for hardcore gamer. What your thought on that? you probably thinking I was thinking about Bluetooth controller like the PS5 or Xbox but I'm actually talking about VR controller like quest 3
That's a good question, Apple hasn't ever made a first party controller, but this may be the time!
You said even if two people have Vision Pro they can’t see but if you FaceTime someone with a Vision Pro you can do a feature called spatial face time and if you screen share with spatial FaceTime you can watch movies with your friends in it
You mean SharePlay? I’ll have to try that.
Love your feedback, I'm really looking forward to seeing movies in this huge screen, how does it look?
Movies are the best experience on here, and the most immersive I've ever experience (aside from those dome-like IMAX theaters). It would be how I prefer to watch movies at home and when traveling!
Thanks for your response!@@beardfm
When mirroring the Mac, does it actually extend the display, or is it zooming?
It displays the Mac as a 4K display, no matter what physical display the Mac is connected to. And you can scale the window in AR space but it remains the same aspect ratio.
you can connect keyboard and trackpad to AVP for productivity
Only the Magic Keyboard and peripherals though. Tried to pair a Keychron bluetooth keyboard and it's not compatible.
👍

Go into settings and set a custom gesture to act as your delete key then you will not have to look at delete
Oh shoot! Didn't know you could do that
Hey there nice little video!
How about you use the Apple keyboard and mouse on the Vision Pro when you need it?
You can use the Magic Keyboard specifically, but other bluetooth keyboards like a Keychron won't pair with it.
Notting can change 3500 price tag, its just stupid. Like the 10k golden apple watch, do you see those around?
Not bad for VisionOS 1.02 or is it 1.03?
1.0.2!
Thanks for the video.
Is it actually NOT possible to mirror/connect the IPhone / IPad to the Vision Pro ?
I only ever see connections to a Mac in the videos, what about connections to the other Apple devices?
I have not seen a way to connect iPhone or iPad to Vision Pro
So, it's not even possible to stream the screen of an iPhone or iPad to the desktop of the Vision Pro via Air play? Too bad, I thought it would be possible to use the Apple Pencil by using the Ipad as an input device e.g. for Procreate or Nomad Sculpt - and of course for handwriting...@@beardfm
I wonder how people like me with limited or no vision in one eye will experience this
There are good accessibility features, which Brian Tong covered specifically.
Share play was prominent at wwdc. Is it not released yet?
It's apparently there on Vision Pro, I just hadn't seen it personally. Will amend in a full review soon.
Can you connect external storage to it? I’ve not seen anyone talking about that
What is the average size of a 2 hour movie? What is the size of the largest sized game? I ordered the 256gb, but contemplating if I should exchange it to the 512gb. I’ll love to hear your recommendation please.
You cannot. I tried connecting an SSD USB-C two to the port on the battery pack and it does not appear in the files app.
Since you wear glasses, and so do I, how did the setup go for their use?
I came here to ask that question!
Super easy! I got ZEISS inserts, they magnetically attach and you pair them by looking at a QR code. I show the whole process here: ruclips.net/user/liveRNk00TT7gzo?si=Oj0UkusmGnwrHFbm
If the apps are close to your face you can operate them like an ipad and touch.. rather then look and pinch..
I've seen a lot of people doing that, although that isn't super precise either. Aside from typing I'm good with the looking and pinching mechanism!
Apple has launched cheaper versions of products while still keeping a "pro" or high-end option. Apple Watch SE, iPhone SE, etc.
So what you are saying is that having an opinion with zero experience is idiotic? Awesome insight
I did a video, years ago, about how the vignette issue could be resolved and called it "The Tropics Problem."
It's fixable. It's really fixable. But I have yet to see a headset even address it properly.
Is the video still online?
as soon as you watch a 3D movie at the top of avenger's tower it's game over. you can't go back after that.
I never enjoyed 3D movies until Vision Pro
same - think about how nearly the entire planet has never properly seen a 3D movie until vision pro... it's always been dimmed by glasses. insane.
I get that. But it would be nice if even turning your head to one side there is no “border” where everything goes dark
At this point it sounds like something you might want to rent for a week and then move on.
Try it out in store may suffice!
Your first video u were so worried about ur “hair being messed up” don’t worry we know ur going bald. That u we’re so conscious and kept fixing it that u didn’t focus on the Vision Pro 😂
welp, time to rip the bandaid off.
Sounds like an expensive 3D TV. I do miss my 3D TV :-(. Curse you all who let it die!
Well it's also on par with high end OLED TVs 65" and larger, plus a sound system and this may be a bette personal theater experience.
Yes, you were using it wrong...
Meta just updated the Meta Quest 3. Big updated.
I have a buzz cut. It made me bald. Be warned.

I answer those here: ruclips.net/video/Jh3pW2YVs-s/видео.htmlsi=VgaC2FSgcY-deTyX
The blackberry was also able to do everything the iPhone 1 could do except it didn’t have multitouch and a virtual keyboard.
I bet my last dollar you don’t have a Vision Pro. You made no sense at all.
Based on your reviews, this is NOT SPATIAL COMPUTING device as much as it is a costly personal entertainment device that can provide you with the best VR, 3D and movie watching experience. Is it worth US$4K for a personal entertainment device? Not sure "I" get it.
Pretty accurate. I followed up here on "who" if anyone should buy it: ruclips.net/video/Jh3pW2YVs-s/видео.htmlsi=NM_hUUq__-3CYZMh
Eye tracking technology? You mean like the "SmartStay" eye tracking as featured on the Samsung Galaxy S3 back in 2012? 😂
No one claimed eye tracking was new.
New or not is more fitting to use eyetracking on a device you wear on the face because that is way the eyes are and you don't have to hold anything
in the wild animal vid nothing wild happens xD ;P
haha fair...except for the WILD immersive experience 😏
I really liked the hair in this video.
Oh boy, I cut it short after this 😅
That was a very last minute inclusion with Casey's clip, nicely done! 😎
I enjoyed his review too!
Watching the super bowl on this would be insane also watching some R rated content your hands are perfectly free to do with them as you want 😉.
It’s a lot of money like too much if you could game with Steam that would make a big difference
@@wandameadows5736 the xdr monitor starts at five grand...an 83" oled g3 is around five grand as well. They are just displays.
wait till you get to home theaters, those are ten grand and up, "just" a display is often the most expensive part of many people's homes.
It’s been possible to watch hi res big flat virtual screens for quite some time and trust me the novelty soon wears off !!

Infinity War 2.5 hours and that's about 11GB downloaded onto Apple Vision Pro
Developers get to work on creating rich meditative visualisations - step it up !
Thank you. I own one and to date, your assessment is the most realistic one I've viewed. The only other Apple device I own is the iPad Mini Pro for my work as a pro photographer. I purchased this primarily to escape from the realities of life when I want to relax.
Appreciate you saying so!
totally agree about the apple immersive videos. The thing that concerns me is - how much of this immersive content will be generated? Doesn't seem like Apple sold a whole lot of these - did they sell enough to allow Apple to keep generating this type of content? Will 3rd parties make content like this?
I'm curious too. Right now the Adventure and Wild Animals videos say "episode 1" so hoping those continue to release.
a gadget of smart glasses for someone else to able to see the exact same screen would be an AMAZING gadget. pair up the glasses to the AVP and you're able to see the screen and environment but not manipulate since its per se the "owner's lobby". the only thing left would be being able to pair a second set of AirPods and BOOM! solved for guests
Oh that would be sweet!
Eye tracking is great for me. Maybe the fact that one of your eyes is higher than the other plays into your experience. Don’t blame your flaws on Apple 🙂
👀
great video! one thing tho, when using the macbook as a display or the macstudio , you can use your keyboard and mouse to control any vision pro app around you ,its incredible how it knows the position of the windows and shows the cursor (like when using the mouse on an ipad from the mac). it's surreal.
Thanks for sharing your experience Stephen. 🥰
Appreciate you watching!
You can use a physical keyboard and Trackpad with AVP.
Yeah, just cumbersome to carry a bespoke keyboard just to use with Vision Pro
