- 2024 T20 World Cup, Day 28, final preview: India v South Africa
The big one is here... India and South Africa! It's the right final too, with these teams the only two in the competition not to lose a game. But there's so much more to it than that. For the Proteas, this is the first time their men have made a World Cup Final. As for Rohit Sharma's side, nobody needs any reminding what happened in Ahmedabad last November. Geoff Lemon (in Barbados) is with Adam Collins to consider how well these teams match up - what a decider this has the potential to be. #t20worldcup #t20worldcupfinal

So many people around the world are just waiting for India to lose again in final so they can laugh n mock the Indians.
Up to the players to show all that they are not the new chokers of world cricket.
I'm not so sure the team themselves are as disliked as you say they are
@@FinalWordCricket
Go n read wat Inzaman ul haq has said about the Indian team.
That's hardly surprising though@@roobanloganathan6498
@@FinalWordCricket
Btw, all the UK n Aust media were shouting that it was unfair that India knew where their SF venue was n many accused ICC n BCCI of colluding.
Now that it’s known this decision was made because of the request from the Guyana govt and George Dobell confirmed it yest, why the same media n people who were shouting are not retracting their allegations against ICC n BCCI?
All keeping quiet as though nothing happened.

Barbados wicket might be a good batting wicket, it will be Indian batting vs SA pacers and SA batting vs Indian spinners.
I don't think you realize what a great team South Africa has 😂😂😂
Great teams win things. They have their chance.
It is THE FINEST part of the cricketing internet!!
Thanks so much!
Everyone are jumping like India has already won the cup just like the ODI World Cup.
But are ignoring that South Africa like India never lost even though they had multiple close games and they could do to India what Australia did to India in the ODI World Cup last year !!!!
All of the South Africans have also played IPL really well and are familiar with all our bowlers de Koch, Klaasen , Markram , stubs and excellent bowlers too
Nobody is jumping buddy
Everybody is biting their nails before it started, haven't seen anyone jumping literally or othero
who is jumping? everyone are nervous as far as I know.
@@nichen6966 can't be confident after last year ever again.
I get the feeling that India fans in particular won't believe anything until they see it
Dubey is the Yusuf Pathan of 2011 WC squad. Lesser technique against pace but more muscle power against spin, than others
In 2011, India dumped Pathan for Raina well in time, before the knockouts. Is it too late now, to make Yashasvi/Samson enter the tournament in the final, is the question.
Knowing Rahul-Rohit combo, they won’t change !!!
Dubey, if he plays fearless, could be India's trump card against Maharaj & Shamsi.
Dube done better than kohli in this tournament right. So if any change should think first about kohli😃😃😃
@@udias007Kohli is doing his job perfectly. Kohli is like Warner, Buttler or Maxwell, even when they are not firing, the opposition is afraid of them. Samson or Jaiswal don't have the same effect yet.
Dube is the same, according to a lot of pundits, Aus didn't bowl Maxwell because Dube was at the crease. Nowadays the oppositions have that matchup mind set and don't assess the situation on it's merit. Dube being a left hand batter means that the opposition stops using certain bowlers.
Brilliant conversation.
Thanks!
All are saying that India are playing with 8 batters but since the tournament started, India has been playing with only 5 batters as Kohli, Pant n Dube basically have not contributed much and this will hurt them in the final.
For India to win, all the batters must contribute or SA will win easily.
Pant has made runs in several games.
@@FinalWordCricket
He has scored 171 runs in the 7 matches he has played, average of 24.4 runs per match. This i feel is not a good score for a number 3 batsman.
In the SF, he got a good rollicking from Rohit for throwing away his wicket the way he did
In previous match, Kohli had a go at him for way he went out cheaply.
So, up to him now to show he can score more for the team in the most important match today.
If he gets out cheaply again, he might not play for India again in a T20 i match as many are waiting to replace him especially if Gambhir, a no nonsense person becomes the head coach.
Pant might get dropped forever? Go have a lie down
@@FinalWordCricket
India got so many players who can replace him for T20 format and might happen if Gambhir becomes the coach as he has said there’s no such thing as permanent place in the team.
Btw, i sure you know a completely different T20 team going to Zimbabwe for bilateral series in July.
So, replacements are not a problem for Indian team especially in T20 format.
If Gambhir becomes the head coach, expect many things to happen which you would never expect to happen.
India should get Yashasvi in place of Dube and make him open. Kohli plays the floater with No 3 being his default position and goes down if wickets don’t fall in power play. India will thus solve the Dubey problem, as well as the Kohli one. Can’t drop Kohli for sure ❤
Dubey would crucial tomorrow to counter maharaj and shamsi in middle overs
@@AnonymousY2.0 yes they wont make any changes now..
Drop Chokli.
Dube will play, especially for Maharaj. His batting order is such that he gets to play alongside SKY who always had an upper hand against Shamsi
Too late

There will be a hoodoo broken this afternoon!

My god. IT'S HERE.
Wat abt weather guys?
You'll have to look that up yourself as it changes hourly
A lot of people are
Writing India off, just hang on folks.. this team is gonna kill it.
We've noticed a shift in outlook among Indian fans cut by what happened last November, that's for sure
I THINK the Barbados pitch will suit SA much better than the one either team played their Semis at.
It’ll offer bounce and zip and not so much for the spinners. Correct me if I’m wrong (I’m yet to go through the video )
the pitches in Barbados are generally the opposite of that
@@FinalWordCricket Are you sure team? Here’s what I just researched. Can you confirm?
“Barbados has been one of the more high-scoring grounds of the tournament with a run-rate of nearly 7.78 per over. While pacers have picked up 59 wickets at the venue, spinners have only managed 32 with a comparatively higher economy.”
What I'm hoping to see is if SA feels the pressure of finally being in the Final. I mean what happens if India puts SA under pressure, do they start falling apart.
Same goes for India but they have been to more finals, so I hope they might have gotten over it. Their Issue might be the PTSD from novemer.
The battle of who won't lose!
Both sides are going to be shitting it, for different reasons. I just want a close game please!
Atleast both are shitting in the finals. Some others are in their private toilet 🤭
The temperament that SA have shown in this world cup makes them dangerous in the final.
Winning is a habit
Fortunately for India there's no kl Rahul. Every member in the eleven have that mental temperament
lol
Aha, that's why Virat is failing.
There must be at least one member in opening who suffers from bad form and low confidence.
@@mrgyani At least Virat has fully endorsed the philosophy of team/coach. KL wouldn't have. Rohit might have taken into account KL's tendency to go into shell.
True KL Rahul survived in the Indian team after repeated failures in knockouts only due to friendship quota. He is the epitome of choking under pressure@@ytuser903
@@ytuser903 correct... fully 100%.... he was playing 4 balls dot in final.
Kensington is pace-friendly, no?
It has been more batting friendly in this tournament.

Why did you police what he's wearing if you're not the fashion police?
I have a strong feeling IND is going to win. I suppose SA is going to find it really tough batting vs this Indian bowling attack
At the very least I am really hoping SA give a proper fight to the Indian Team. Don't want to see a one sided final. I think in recent times ENG v WI in 2016 and ENG v PAK in 2022 are probably the Best Final matches we have seen for a T20 WC
Many people share this feeling
Geoff Lemon is salty, I did not know that India is the greatest team ever completely unbeatable, never beaten by South africa ever!!!
@@faizelsalie6448 I don't like the comparison how 23 WC final is miracle on ice. Like really? How? Australia is perennial cricket country. So stupid
@@WaveRider19892023 comparison of was to Buster Douglas and Mike Tyson. The comp was a coronation and botched by the hosts. Maybe they should’ve done best of three to help all the numpties who don’t understand the idea of one team winning and another losing?
Also Australia didn't care enough with the feet on the trophy and no fans at the airport, right?
@@FinalWordCricketso well said 👏
Underestimate South Africa at your own peril. Possibly the greatest batting side that haven't fired. Be afraid

Knowing india, they would probably choke and get to 40-4 or something
Sounds familiar😮
This is the most possible scenerio accross all the timelines 😂
If you want to will that into existence, then you've clearly got a loser mentality.
Guarantee Indian players aren't thinking of the worst possible scenario that could happen.
