Sully great explanation of hypertension. This is much better than just getting it is "bad for you" with no clear understanding of what that means.

Thanks for this video! A concise and easily understood explanation of hypertension. I've heard of it before, but now I have a whole new appreciation of the condition and its effects. Now I'm motivated to go downstairs and do my fahves...

Thanks for the video. I have lived with hypertension for over 20 years. I do take medication to control it. I have one observation of the medical system in general and that is, that is appears there is no clear way to take someone’s blood pressure. Some doctors or nurses put the cuff on tight, some loose, some use the large cuff some use the small cuff. They all get different readings. There needs to be a better process for doing that very important job. I am a retired manufacturing engineer and I can smell a out of control process a mile away. And as far as I can tell there is no defined process. In bring this up many times to my doctors or nurses, I gathered there are guidelines but that leave too much up to the person that is taking the blood pressure. I know you are correct in the severity of hypertension, so I am amazed that the procedure of readIng ones blood pressure so loose. Maybe you have some insight in to the way flood pressure is tested. I would love to hear more about testing blood pressure as it is a critical part of my life.

This is my favorite video. I've learned a great deal. Even though I take hypertension meds my bp is usually around 140 over 80. I'm going to eat more fruit.

Short answer is probably yes, as long as your blood pressure is controlled. You should confirm with your physician.
