    Thank you so much for this review, Courtney! Your hair looks so soft and shiny! 😍✨
    For more hold, squeeze out just a bit more of the water before applying your All-in-One. Let us know how it goes! 💕

    I've seen people on the LUS videos use far more AIO. A wavy lady used 4 pumps per quadrant. I added more pumps and the hold is much better and I do get a bit of crunch to scrunch that way.

    Thank you for this video! I have been curly girl for a couple months and using LUS for a couple weeks. I have come to the same conclusion as you - love the products, love the smell, love no crunch but it doesn't have enough hold. I used it with Uncle Funky's curl enhancer the other day and had great results. I had waves all day! That is the first time the wave hasn't fallen out during the day. Planning on adding some Gelee at the end to see how that works out. You are my go-to now for wavy hair video advice. Keep up the great work!

    I use the Lus styler with kinky curly gel. I got the idea from RUclips😊. On washday I use the Curly Styler as a leavin. Then the Kinky Curly. On refresh days I put several pumps of Lus in a spray bottle with water. Shake the mixture. Then spray it on my hair. Smooth my hands over my hair scrunch my hair and air dry.
    I really like how my hair feels with these products. I feel a lot less product build on my scalpel. My curls are looking better. I use way less gel than before I tried this combo and my hair is easier to manage. Oh and @ Swavy Curly Courtney thanks for doing the video on moisture/protein balance and what protein products you use. It helped me figure out what my hair needs

    I have been using LUS for just under a year and I am obsessed with the entire line. Just a little tip... try stepping up to the next styler for a little more hold. For instance I am a 3B/C curl pattern with fine med density strands and I gravitate to the curly styler (gives me volume), but when I want a little more hold & definition I will reach for my kinky styler. Either styler will still give me a 6-8 day wash n go.

    Thanks for reviewing LUS. I’m a huge fan of LUS, I’ve been using it for a couple months and it works great for me.
    Used in a refresh it is great, just add some water and curls spring back.
    I agree that I’m thinking about adding a gel - I’ve heard kinky curly custard is a good pairing.

    I like the natural feel of my hair after using LUS. I am wavy and I swim every day. I wash with shampoo and use conditioner when it feels necessary, and after swimming (in fresh pond water) I apply some leave-in, air dry and I have very natural wavy 2c-3a Curls. Perfect life-hair-balance! When I want a lasting look I apply a little bit of gel.

  • @jenniferadamson3839

    Dilute the styler in a spray bottle and use it for refresh days. It works great. It also has glycerin in it which sucks in humidity. I use a cream styler and gel instead of the lus styler it comes with on wash days. It's a great combo!

    I like the LUS brand because it's so gentle but if you're looking for serious curl styling results, if you add a little bit of gel to it, it will do the trick as far as hold and curl form! The LUS thinking (I Think!) is your natural hair behavior is AWESOME, no matter what which is why I love it! But if you need reinforcements, you can certainly add other products. I personally think of LUS as my "Wash & Go Cuz I Don't Have Time to Mess With My Hair" jam! haha!

Glad I watch all 3 of you because I just did get my 3 system LUS, and I know that a 4th product will be needed....a gel with some hold. the 1-in-done styler sounds more like a leave-in-conditioner.

    I have really dry damaged hair and I love the LUS system, except I always use a gel or mousse on top of the LUS styler. My curls last until my next wash day. My hair usually feels so dry with other products and with the LUS system it’s so moisturized and soft.

  • @kristensaenz6421
    @kristensaenz6421 5 лет назад +4

    I've been using the LUS wavy set for a couple months. I really want to love this product. I love the smell and the cleanse of the shampoo and the slip of the conditioner. I haven't been super successful figuring out the application of the leave in that is best for my hair. But the big problem that I have with this product is that I think it has over moisturized my hair. I am pretty new to figuring out what my hair needs, but I took a break from it and used a sulfate shampoo that has some protein in it and then the Giovanni moisture conditioner and the Giovanni leave in and gel and my hair came back to life. I didn't know what over moisturized was, but I think I know now. I contacted their customer service for advice and they suggested giving my hair a squeeze before I apply the leave in. Next time I use it will try it. The top on my conditioner also broke and it was leaking, so I asked for a replacement top and they sent it right out. I think I will only be able to use this sometimes. Since your hair loves protein, do you think this would happen to you? Maybe I could use the shampoo and conditioner and then a different styler with protein?

    • @TheChurchMouse7
      @TheChurchMouse7 5 лет назад +1

      Since LUS doesn't contain protein, it seems very plausible that your hair would just need a routine protein treatment to go along with the LUS products, maybe every other week or however often you notice the moisture issue. I use LUS and love it because I'm protein sensitive...But I bet a routine protein treatment would help anyone using these products who might need a little protein! 😊

    I''ve been using LUS for about 2 years now and bought both the Wavy and Curly third step because I have more defined curls in the front and less defined curls everywhere else and didn't know which one would be a good match for my hair. I found that the WAVY final product wasn't enough hold, but the CURLY product made my hair feel a little too greasy. So I mixed them together which helped a lot! I also discovered that my hair needs more protein and hold so I now add a gel as a final step which has made LUS my absolutely 'TO GO' product.

  • @Kat-iw4cc

    I ordered the sample size of LUS products. Glad I did because you can only return products that have never been used. I couldn’t handle the smell, it was very strong and it doesn’t go away. You smell it until you wash it again. It caused me to have asthma problems.

  • @meganmardones2473
    @meganmardones2473 5 лет назад +3

    LUS is not meant to enhance curl. The line is all about embracing your natural curl pattern. I have been using the wavy with a gel on top and think I like it, but I want to try the curly to see if I get better results or if I can get away with no gel. I definitely get more spiral curls with other products, but am kind of loving embracing my natural wave right now, especially since my hair feels so nourished. Anyway, I would love it if you would try the curly styler to see how it compares.

    I’ve been really liking the wavy cream so far but I agreed it doesn’t quite have the hold I usually like. It wasn’t until recently that I saw an ad where they showed the difference between the wavy and the curly creams and mostly the wavy was more volume and soft hold, the curly was described as more defined and stronger hold so I might give it a try when I’ve work through this bottle. It’s my go to for “lazy hair” wash cycles when I don’t want to put a whole bunch of effort in but do want to look like I tried.

But I’ve been experimenting and trying for bigger clumps…so this wash day was a bust but I will try something else next time! I think I need a harder gel because my hair goes limp and is sooo soft.

I find I like it better if I do a final scrunch with my good old-fashioned LA Looks gel after sectioning. My hair does clump better when I section and wet...I don't know. I don't know how I feel about the styler. I find that, overall, people who make "wavy hair" products think you don't need hold because it will weigh down the hair. But you need MORE hold to keep the wave long-term! Not less hold, curly-product makers! Us wavies need MORE hold!

    I found the all in one gave me curls but no hold so just turned to a puffy mess. Definitely would need gel on top. Didn't have enough hold for my daughter eithef. But I can't use it anyway because the perfume smell is so overwhelming and stays with me all day it made me nauseous.

    I am sensitive to some scents. Can you elaborate on what the LUS products smell like? It is fruity or does it smell like perfume?

      Very perfumey. It stayed with me all day. Made me nauseous. I can't use it. I'm pretty sensitive but can usually handle scent in hair products, not this. The shampoo, conditioner and all in one have the same scent.

      @@tracybzowy2486 Thanks! I can't handle perfume in hair and body products as I get a bad headache. Was considering the conditioner but not anymore. 😉

      I agree with Tracy. I think the fragrance is horrible. No offense but it smells like old lady perfume. Yuck, just yuck.

      It is strong. I tried it in part because some reviewers said it was neutral. Don’t know how they came up with that description. It was so strong it triggered my asthma. So I do NOT recommend it for anyone who is sensitive to fragrance.

    I just tried LUS for the first time and looking for help videos so that my next wash won't be as disastrous as the first. The one thing I can't understand is how everyone keeps saying they love the scent of LUS. It is a floral scent with an offensiveness level somewhere between lavender and freesia, and it's VERY strong. I like citrus or other fruity scents, and I definitely dislike that I keep smelling this awful floral smell every time I move. I will try the products a couple more times, but my initial experience with it was not a good one.

      Personally, I love the smell but I think it would be so awesome if they made the same thing in unscented because it is a bit strong for those who are not into the perfume smell.

    I do love their shampoo and condish, but they have since told me that I should try the coily formula if I want more curl enhancement, and add a sealant on top...NOT A ONE AND DONE...

    So my hair is like this more straighter, should I use the kinky leave in product, cause you used the curly and it still looks like you didnt get to much curl to my liking, what do you think?

      Refers to the type of curl you have. Try naturallycurly.com for an article.

    I also feel like you had way too much water in it and the styler ran off mostly.

    This is very expensive...I have the line, and my hair is fine wavy curly...it might be better for tighter curls. I have the intense conditioner and it was $60... hmmm

    You’ve used other products that make your hair look less”droopy”. I have fine hair and will give this a pass.
