That is true. I recently got the Rockport chukka boot. It has a similar style but is water proof and much more comfortable. I will still use and get Clark’s Bushacre boots but the Rockport is a nice addition.
Since they seem to run just a bit wide (mine do anyway) I added a cushy insole and punched a third set of eyelets above the two it comes with. This is made a huge difference in fit and all day comfort.

I just got some Bushacre 3 from mazon and their insole is great. Nowadays they are coming with an added removable ortholite insole. Super comfortable.
