Great review. Honest, no hype and presented well. I don’t care for those who are more into themselves and their quirky personalities, than focusing on the product itself.
The Bushacre II isn't known for out of the box comfort. But since they seem to run just a bit wide (mine do anyway) I added a cushy insole and punched a third set of eyelets above the two it comes with. This has made a huge difference in fit and all day comfort.
I have this boot. Love the leather. Although, I have the bushacre version which has a different sole. A harder material. Not sure what it is but I’m sure not as comfortable as the crepe sole.
8 years.. just resoled. Resole is perfect. Vibram gumsole with treads. Looks and feels fantastic. Crepe sole lasted longer than the hard sole. Time to resole those. A good cobbler will have no problem. But sadly it seems the crepe resole material are discontinued. If I could leave a picture, I would. Wear them a lot. They are easy on the feet when broken in and last for years.. they never seem to be out of style.
Good to see you again GW!! I remember buying these shoes because of you I loved them but the strange thing was getting used to the sizing. I went too big then too small. I tried different sizes i think the first ones I bought actually were my fit but the space around the ankles threw me off.
Always found it funny that these boots were popular in the UK, where it's raining often. I guess fashion over not breaking your hip. Imo, it's really a waste of time to clean up the crepe sole, cuz you can spend hours cleaning it up, take a walk, and yo'ure back to square one. You will basically gotta sand off the dirty anyway and that's kinda impossible since it sucks it in deep.
I purchased Clarks shoes around 4 years ago. In fact, they appear to be brand new but noticed the sole just came off. I contacted WALK ON A CLOUD where I originally purchased the shoes and was told to contact CLARKS CANADA. I contacted Clarks but they couldn't care less. "Good day ......., Thank you for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry to learn of your disappointment with your shoes. If the shoes are deemed defective within 6 months, we will offer a refund or replacement. After this time, we are not able to assist with such queries. Thank you again for taking the time to contact us. On behalf of Clarks, please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused. We here at Clarks wish you a wonderful day. Kind regards, Sabeegah" Unfortunately, they do not stand behind their product thus tarnishing a once solid company's reputation.
I have the same ones, but I do not find them comfortable. I do not find the crepe sole to be soft or "mushy" as simple people say, rather hard. I find my cheap $2 Old Navy sandals much more comfortable than the desert boots. I heard that the books are supposed to feel "mushy". Are yours "mushy"?
@@gentwithin The store associate sold me the Clark's Leather Balm, and it turned my shoes dark almost black with a shiny gloss. I specifically bought these shoes for it's light brown color. Supposedly it will go back to its original color, but it's been two weeks. How long will it take to lighten up?
These boots are killing my feet because of the welt where the tongue joins the remainder of the front piece of the shoe. Clarks are really skimping in doing this rather than making the front part of the shoe from one piece as is usual. This is a bloody disgrace in my opinion and something I've never seen before. If they're going to charge that much for something so shoddy and trade on their name they're really going down the Veblen road.
The fact you got 7 years out of them speaks volumes.

Thanks so much! Glad you liked it.

Great video, I’ve been wearing a pair once twice a week for about a year now. I’m very happy with my purchase.
glad to hear it!
Everyone should have a pair of these! They are good in the summer for a dress casual or in fall period. Its a boot look but feels like a sneaker
This came out with ortholite insoles that made me buy it finally :)
nice

same here, the leather is pretty hardwearing. is it the bushacre 2?
@@gentwithin yes, I believe it is.
After I saw Oliver Queen wearing these in Arrow Season 1, I was sold. Have 3 pairs and I love them

thanks bro! glad to see you around. the important thing is that it's not too loose or tight. the ankle opening naturally has some space.
Unfortunately Clarks are insanely expensive here in Vietnam, Khoi :( A pair of desert boots can set the average person back half a month's pay.
oh wow, really? i didn't know that.
I have 3 pairs love this boot!!
alright alright alright
Made in Vietnam in any of my shoes are top quality in my opinion.
VN is the future!
Long term reviews are true 👌
thanks for watching!
The bushacure is glued together. I believe
i see, where did you hear this?
Great review dude. Clarks are expensive in Bangladesh. Stay tuned.

@@gentwithinAre all clarks desert boots and dress shoes stitched welt and sole???

you got bootleg clarks
@@gentwithin Nah, a Clark's store associate verified it was real. Hey, man, how many times have you conditioned your boots?
@@DwyaneWadeCounty not often! maybe a few times with some leather conditioner

has anyone here tried wide version of clarks chukkaboots? how wider is it compared to the regular version?
I have seen you couple of videos pl let me know that how i condition them....can i petroleum jelly or Vaseline
for clarks, all you need is a basic shoe polish, tbh..like brown kiwi shoe polish
Nothing like gum sole clarks
Most confortable shoes i own
and stylish too 🤙
And rhodesia
