Chad , It may look like we are frustrated but in actual fact we got all excited about the hint you put out there when you were moderating the whole thing with Fremer and the 'In' Groove back over a month ago . That just lit the fuse, that is all . For me it is more about being loyal to your brand and the phenomenal product you put out. Take it as a compliment my friend people come back to you because of the QUALITY AND LABOUR OF LOVE YOU PUT OUT.. Just press your work and forget about the rest. Your company is the leader and has been for a long time and that is the TRUTH. There is a saying. " Often Imitated, Never Duplicated". Stay safe.
You’re the best Chad...your passion for vinyl is unparalleled and it shows in the incredible work you’ve done. You’ve got all of us loyal fans on the edge of our seats for what’s next!
Great video! I’m 53 and have every album I bought since 1976. What has happened with the vinyl boom is so very exciting to me - 15 years ago I thought it was dead! What you are doing for vinyl is awesome! I’ve been very happy with everything from you, especially your pressings. Just placed an order for 6 more albums 😀
Hmmm...wonder if the Zeppelin road case in the background is a nice subtle hint at the UHQR announcement. Excited to hear about the new Jazz series coming out this year and I am happy you guys are repressing the Prestige titles. I picked up most of them in 2014 and 2015 but there was still several I missed out on that I have pre-ordered for this run. I love the upgrade in the video production values. The person filming this one and setting up the lighting gets a thumbs up.

I am hoping the prestige titles make it over here now as i know i am gonna want them all
I'm happy for you that the day you were waiting for is here now. Lots of tenacity and determination. Your company is my favorite reissue company. Well done, good sir and thank you!
The passion is palpable and that is nice to see. As an audiophile collector from around the late 80's I know that it must be a tough business. I have seen a lot of great labels - DCC, the first MOFI, Cisco, Classic, Audio Fidelity - come and go, so I hope that the fans will be supportive.

Hi Chad, appreciate your time for clearing this up. I have been one of the frustrated ones reason being you Guys are great...... Thanks and keep the vinyl coming
Excellent update, Chad. I really appreciate all that you do. The standard of quality you are achieving is unbelievable. Very excited for your upcoming announcements. In the meantime, I'm busy picking up from your back catalog! Keep up the good work!
I put that bill Evans box set on backorder about 2020 thinking y'all were just gonna cancel it. I actually but everything on back order. Made my month.
It probably never happening, but I hope one day you guys be able to repress the Classic Records Zeppelin Catalog since I am sure you still have some of the metal work the same way you did KoB. Zeppelin II on UHQR would be really something else.
Someone asked this question during the Fremer vs. Esposito live chat session and I remember Chad just had a smile on his face when some one asked him that. I'm very hopeful we will get some sort of reissue, maybe an UHQR 🤞.
I can really see that this isn't just a business for you; it's a passion for you and the people who work for Acoustic Sounds. I wish to extend my thanks to you and everyone who works with you to produce excellent pressings of some of the finest music ever made. 👍👍👍👍👍 As a customer since the early 2000's, I have never been disappointed with an AP/QRP record I've purchased from you. Though you haven't told us what is exactly on its way, I can't help but be excited by more great releases from Analogue Productions/QRP. 👍💖🎸😎
I bought a bunch of these quite awhile ago, like the Bill Evans box, and all of the Eric Dolphy as well as the blues records, but I missed out on a number of the Prestige recordings because I thought I still had time. They hadn't been going that fast, so it's a real joy to hear that more will be coming, and certainly none of this is your fault. You don't have to do what you do, but just know that I for one greatly appreciate what you do, and I'll never complain to you about my own failings to anticipate demand and buy now or cry later.
You know, when you see the LP section pop up at Wal-Mart and Target. During a pandemic. With material and labor shortages worldwide. That you're gonna have a good year. And I could not be happier for you. I only bought a single retail product. And it was on your website last year and it was SACD! Pink Floyd. No regrets. But my discretionary funds are zero since being disabled in 2012. Otherwise my blues collection would be snow capped with some of the best grooves ever cut. And I would be a VIP at Acoustic Sounds, QRP and Analog Productions. 😉 -✌🏼
Thanks for the update Chad! Im a happy camper that these mono's and the stereo Prestige titles are getting repressed. Was my one wish for jazz reissues as I missed it before. There's no guarantee on how long we'll be able to press these records, or how long they'll stay in stock. We wish everyone would order these while they're still available and in print. These will be pressed as soon as we can.
Love this stuff!! Thank you for the update!!! Couple things I have learned from your You Tubes...1.) Buy now or cry later( which by the way, I haven't had to cry much if at all because I follow that advice. and 2.) Wait for some titles to come back before buying them from from third party sellers on e-bay charging three times the price
Yes, we always encourage people to buy right away so that they don't have to get them from a flipper, as we cannot control people that want to invest in our records.
Appreciate you explaining the extra jacket situation. I had ordered the Soultrane and threw on several other records to the order, and only found out it was backordered until it shipped. Keep up the great work and addressing this issue.
Thank ya Chad! Ever since 1989 when I got my first cd player for Christmas and switched from cassettes to CDs (before the cassettes it was LPs) , I felt there was something "off" about the CD format but couldn't put my finger on it! I thought it sounded great "no scratches and stuff" but I just wasn't getting drawn into the music like when I was a younger kid (images of buying MJ thriller "my first record at 14" in 84' and having my jaw drop after listening)! When I got a decent setup recently and checking out RUclips for other "enthusiasts" I discovered it was a combination of a few things not just one! For instance.... 1. Higher resolution (CD wasn't able to produce even half the resolution of analog) 2. Tangibility (just being able to take the record out of the jacket, putting it on, and watching it spin) 3. Pleasant analog distortion (certain distortions in the analog domain along with the higher resolution creates an amazing 3 dimensional sound that "in my OPINION" even hi resolution digital can't match)! I think a lot of people are discovering that now!
Thanks for the update, Chad. Really good to at least get a bit of heads up of what's coming and when. This is incredibly important for us international customers to be know what to order together as a batch so we can get a sensible shipping charge per record and not wait years for all the items in that batch to be complete. A longer term release schedule (for Prestige especially) would be amazing, but if not possible due to jacket companies, could you please keep updating us like this for the rest of the series? Thanks for bringing these back again with the great quality your product is known for. Looking forward to getting most, if not all, of them.
Great update, the records are great, the website and info I really hope your planning on improving. Great as well to know what’s coming, more info like this video would help. A lot of time and money hovering over the site can be frustrating and often avoided for collectors trying to make a go with your system.
I ordered a Lightnin Hopkins Goin Away a day or two after this video came out. Still no order. Has anyone received one yet? I can be patient but want to make sure my order is still in the system. Thanks!
Thanks for the transparency Chad - this makes sense and is exciting to hear. I was frustrated but not because things were selling out fast. Frustrated because the website was telling me things were in stock that actually weren't. I guess the website also could not keep up with how fast things were going out the door! That was a tease, but I am always happy to wait for quality. My wallet is also happy that I wait.
Awesome news! Especially if you're based in the US. For us in Europe though the situation is a bit different. Wonder if there are plans to implement some sort of worldwide distribution system in the future? For eg. thanks to Universal/UME I can actually get Acoustic Sound Series titles in my country, from various places. But with those Prestige titles that is obviously not the case. Even the few usual stores that normally stock Analogue Productions titles here in Europe can't offer these. I get that currently they are here and gone the same moment due to the jackets situation. But I'm wondering if things will even improve when these enter the normal production cycle like other APP titles. Clearly there's more than enough demand just from the US market alone. I guess for us overseas fans its either pay the crazy shipping and import fees or sit on the side and observe with jealousy.
We wish we could control the price of shipping and the price increases on everything else. As I said in the video, we are trying to get as many of these pressed as possible, and as soon as possible, without compromising our quality. We will be going on the press soon with Saxophone Colossus, Soultrane and Lightnin' Hopkins Goin' Away.
Thanks for the update Chad, I appreciate what you do and understand the supply issues. One thing that would be most helpful to me, and I suspect other customers, is to communicate when an item is sold out and won’t be repressed for a while. Instead of labeling it backordered on the site and always showing the next month as the available date, just mark it as sold out and tell me not to expect it for a year or two.
We appreciate your comments and suggestions, every record is a different story. We wish it was as easy as you suggest but there's a lot of backstory to every item and they're all different. We try our best to keep our licenses up-to-date and in-stock - and we try our best to keep everyone informed. Please sign up to our email for the latest information: store.acousticsounds.com/index.cfm?get=subscribe
Chad, when vinyl was a niche market a few physical stores kept the sales running at least in Europe. Now with this demand boom those stores can hardly get some stock to sell. I say they deserve some care from the industry. I believe its hard to get everyone happy. Thanks for your work
Chad aint no punk! He said to give it a shot and order an out of stock album, so I did. I received Quiet Kenny in the mail a few weeks later. I cannot be any more grateful. The hawks out there are selling this AP press for $200+. It's beautiful all around, physically and sonically... surreal I own this now. You all will forever have my support (even though you already had it)
Thank you for the update Chad. A lot of us have been ordering these and getting frustrated since there was no word from AS at all and we had no idea what’s going on. I’ve gotten all the represses so far and have loved them! Keep em coming!
Soooo…. The pending releases for prestige on SACD… are these waiting for conversion at time of pressing of the vinyl… which are waiting on the jackets?
These SACDs may come out but it will not be soon, as we're so busy with other things that our customers want. We would like to get these done, but we can only do so much.
@@acousticsoundsks - certainly understood. I’ve had 7 SACDs from the PRestige series pre-order in my cart for over almost a year… Okay, so real question here… if i move ahead and “pre-order” them as Chad mentions here, and ASI decides to not produce them, i assume you would notify me and cancel the order? ( i didn’t make the purchase fearing the order would sit and tie up credit for a very long time.) Thanks
Just curious if anybody's Lightnin' Hopkins has shipped yet? Was just notified that the Sonny Rollins has shipped. Just wondering if I missed out on the Lightnin'
So... I'm guessing Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon will play a part in those future big announcements? Keep putting this stuff out, I'll buy it all. Love your work and I covet that hoodie!
Why that one? Nobody wants that one, anymore. Sick of it. If anything, Meddle, which got a next to nothing years ago pressing from MFSL, which copies are being sold for in the thousands. That needs released, not another boring issue of an album that's so easy to find, even on mofi...for cheap.
It's the SX-1250. I had it totally gone through and upgraded in every way, but I have so many other stereos setup that I haven't had time to play it. We are building a turntable museum and are adding many of the classic japanese receivers from the '70s. This is definitely one of them.
I love it!! Both Corey and myself will make the 5 hour trip from Colorado, to visit this vintage audio/turntable museum you speak of!! I imagine you have a Pioneer SX-1980 laying around, as well as your Pioneer SX-1250’s newer, little brother, the SX-1280? I own both a 1280 and a 1980. I use my 1980 every single day. Like you’ve had done to your 1250, Chad, I’ve had both of my 70s monster stereo receivers completely refurbed and rebuilt. They work better now, than they did back when they were brand new!!!
Yes for 14 years. Stan Ricker was our first mastering engineer for a few years, and then Kevin Gray worked there for approximately 10 years before going out on his own.
@@acousticsoundsks - ahhh yes… thought id come across that bit of information… and somewhere in there was mentioned Acoustech started after Chad and RTI acquired the Wilson mastering equipment…something like that. Fine history. Just trying to note my own library of Analogue Productions offerings :)
Hi Chad, Now that the Bill Evans box set is going to be pressed. before I spend 900 on this 45 version, is there any talk of this also coming out in a 33 box set. For me personally, I would rather not have to flip these records every 10 to 15 minutes. I already have several of your pressings in both 33 and 45 ( the same record) and so far have not been disappointed with the 33 pressing. So please also consider putting this out in 33, so I can cancel my 45 preorder and sign up for the 33 instead. One observance I have noticed on all of the 45 pressings I have got from Analogue Productions: For most of these albums, there is so much dead wax on each side, why not consider putting an extra song on each side and only having 3 full sides. In some instances the recording space almost equals the dead space. Just a suggestion.
At this time I have no plans to do a 33 box. If this ever happened it would probably be years away. There's no plans, but never say never. As far as the dead wax, many albums they don't have an extra song, and even if they did we want the sides to be 15 minutes or shorter, this way you hear all the benefits of cutting at 45. The longer the side is, the more compromised the sound is.
@@acousticsoundsks thanks for getting back to me and explaining. I have not been disappointed with any of the albums I have bought from you cut at 45, but neither have i with the ones cut at 33. The Elvis releases on 45 are actually exceptional
Congrats on positioning yourself for this day with quality products. Patience paying off. Hoping for UHQR pressings off all Led Zeppelin, DSOTM, Rumours. Also Beatles, Bob Marley, ELO, Supertramp.
Hey Chad - Like a lot of folks here, I get it and I appreciate the update. Could you let us know the status of Impulse - "John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman?" It was announced last year and I'd love to know if it's going to make it to market.
While the charge remains pending till shipped, unfortunately, your credit is not available until the charge is removed (by actual charge or by cancelled order.). However, many banks will knock off the pending charge after a month if its not put thru by the vendor. This frees up your credit. Just keep in mind, some companies will keep putting the charge through each month until they can deliver the product so this way they are sure to get paid. It’s an accounting nightmare. For me, id rather they just charge up front and take care of the money end. They can always give it back if i get tired of waiting and cancel.
I hope some of the new projects include some of the Columbia Jazz albums which are really lacking in the reissue scene...Especially the stuff from the 70s from the likes of Dexter Gordon, Woody Shaw, Stan Getz, Maynard etc. Even Wynton Marsalis' Columbia LPs from the 80s are hard to find and when you do, the pressings are crap.
This is amazing news Chad, just Amazing I cant wait for the copy of Lightnin' Hopkins, I don't want to Cry Later again, by the way, when is Jethro Tull Stand Up Mastered By Kevin Gray coming up?? where can I Pre-Order?? Thank you
It will come out in 2022. Lately we haven't put things on pre-order as it frustrates our customers, but we just ordered the jackets, this will be awhile before they come - but it will probably be sometime in the summer of this year. By the way... it sounds awesome!
@@MrKarlengel Hi Karl, we cannot find your name in our system. The card can hold the funds depending on your bank, but it is a temporary authorization.
The printing press used to print these jackets at Stoughton cost $3-5 million. Plus there is specialty finishing equipment required that could cost another. $million. There is world wide shortage of paper that is used for the record jackets. It can take 3-4 moths to get paper. I am in the printing business and this is a problem everyone in the industry is having.
@@greggiftody3563 Chad has said in the past that his goal is to be 100% vertically integrated, which includes printing. It's obvious Stoughton can't keep up with demand, and any paper shortage is temporary. If Chad can't afford that kind of investment, then I'm sure he could partner with someone. Stoughton shouldn't be the only supplier of quality jackets.
Just dreaming here.. i wish you had a european shop also.. taxes and shipping for one album at around 100€ .. ahh too bad because AP records are second to none 🥺

Our web is not a totally "live" site. Somethings take a bit to update. We are working on improving that as we speak.
TOTALLY AGREE
Yup, European folks can just watch and cry most of the time.
Thank you so much for the info! Extremely helpful
Thanks Chad!!
Placed a big order and can't wait for all of them to be released. By the way, I'll be patient, I know that it will take time.
Awesome Chad! I ordered the Soultrane, the Lightning Hopkins and the Saxophone Colossus - I hope I get them! Northern New Jersey loves you :)
Chad one word: SALUTE!!!!
Chad, when vinyl was a niche market a few physical stores kept the sales running at least in Europe. Now with this demand boom those stores can hardly get some stock to sell. I say they deserve some care from the industry. I believe its hard to get everyone happy. Thanks for your work
It's still a niche market just a much bigger one + pressing capacity is limited.
You all will forever have my support (even though you already had it)
Thank you William! Glad you like the album. There's more Prestige on the press as we speak, but they go fast.
Like the world took a left turn......really appreciate what you do and how you do it.
would love the QRP hoody but it is backordered and currently unavailable.
I wonder if that Led Zeppelin box set was strategically placed in the background as an Easter egg 🕵️
Gawd hope so. Those classic records pressing tools have to be available?
He had it up there in the last update, too. 🤞
Thanks for the update Chad.
Thank you for the update Chad. A lot of us have been ordering these and getting frustrated since there was no word from AS at all and we had no idea what’s going on. I’ve gotten all the represses so far and have loved them! Keep em coming!
This is great news! Thanks for explaining!
Will there ever be a 33rpm single cover Bill Evans boxset? thanks
Will BE box show up soon? We would need to know when this delivery would hit us 😎 Thanks a lot for any update, here or AS website. Keep it up!
Was expecting an update on the Bags Groove, that one still a mystery to me!
I’ve had 7 SACDs from the PRestige series pre-order in my cart for over almost a year…
Okay, so real question here… if i move ahead and “pre-order” them as Chad mentions here, and ASI decides to not produce them, i assume you would notify me and cancel the order? ( i didn’t make the purchase fearing the order would sit and tie up credit for a very long time.)
Thanks
Thank you Chad!
Any update on the Evans box release date?
Hi Chad. Keep up the good work. When does the Prestiges will arrive at Europe stores? Do you save some for overseas clients? Thanks
Our retail customers are coming first. It will be awhile before we can fill our wholesale and distributor orders as we cannot keep up with the demand.
Just curious if anybody's Lightnin' Hopkins has shipped yet? Was just notified that the Sonny Rollins has shipped. Just wondering if I missed out on the Lightnin'
Hasn't shipped yet, but close.
@@acousticsoundsks Sweeeeet!!!! ⚡
Chad, any chance you press the Bill Evans titles individually in 33s?
That would be great!! 33!!
Not anytime soon. It will be a very big job to press this 45 rpm box set.
why not make the Prestige Reissues available in europe like the Acoustic Sounds Series?
They are. We ship directly to Europe daily.
Great stuff especially the Bill Evans.
Wish it was on 33rpm though!
Hopefully reusing the classic record plates for zeppelin reissues soon.
More shirts and hoodies are on the way in the future.
What model is the Pioneer in the background and how often would you say you listen to it?
Chad=, you make great products. I "appreciate" it.

I'm betting 2023 uhqr 50th anniversary of DSOTM ?
Hmmm…. Wasn’t Acoustech a partnership between acoustic sounds and RTI?
Supertramp especially. We need an Analogue Productions Crime of The Century! The current pressings SUCK and all originals are super noisy.
All I can say is sign-up for our email newsletter: store.acousticsounds.com/index.cfm?get=subscribe
@@acousticsoundsks already a subscriber. I have a delivery of 7 albums due today from you guys to here in Australia.
Don't apologize for having high standards. It's rare and refreshing today.
What happened to Tull’s Stand Up that you mentioned a year ago?
Approximately 6 months away.
Hi Chad, do you have a copy of
Bass On Top Blue Note Tone Poet Series
Vinyl for sale?
Sorry, it's on back-order.
@@acousticsoundsks Thank you :)
I know in 2021 I contributed substantially to Chad's bottom line 😎🤣🤣
I can't afford $900 for that Bill Evans 😔
is it really 900 ?
That price is insane, better off buying different pressings of those albums. Wish they'd stick to their old price 600$... 😔
Great news Chad. Eagerly awaiting the next UHQR announcement. Any ballpark on when you’ll be able to let us know more?
Within 2 weeks, there will be a big announcement on the next UHQR title.
@@acousticsoundsks Can't wait!
Any update on this? Two weeks passed some time ago ;)
Hey Chad - Like a lot of folks here, I get it and I appreciate the update. Could you let us know the status of Impulse - "John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman?" It was announced last year and I'd love to know if it's going to make it to market.
Should be sometime in April.
I just went online and ordered and my debit card seems charged and the charged purchase is in pend status with the money out of my account. What's up?
I'm in the same boat. Ordered the Soultrane and was charged too.
It’s just authorizing the purchase don’t worry. It won’t actually post until it ships.
It's an authorization, nothing is charged. It's just to make sure the funds are available and it can hold temporarily, maybe only a few days.
Love it!
A few is better than none
Thank you for the heads up. I mention you at my channel to get your name out there.
LED ZEPPELIN UHQR?
$900 for Bill Evans box set?
This is amazing news Chad, just Amazing I cant wait for the copy of Lightnin' Hopkins, I don't want to Cry Later again, by the way, when is Jethro Tull Stand Up Mastered By Kevin Gray coming up?? where can I Pre-Order?? Thank you
It will come out in 2022. Lately we haven't put things on pre-order as it frustrates our customers, but we just ordered the jackets, this will be awhile before they come - but it will probably be sometime in the summer of this year. By the way... it sounds awesome!
@@acousticsoundsks thank you for the response, I’ll be checking and aware of this Re-Issue, can’t wait for it 🙌🏻👍🏻
Ok...am so excited. I am going to start putting money away to save up for Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd on UHQR !!!!!!
In this video Chad says pre order and you won’t be charged until they ship….. I pre ordered and they debited my card!
same here
It's an authorization, nothing is charged. It's just to make sure the funds are available and it can hold temporarily, maybe only a few days.
@@acousticsoundsks No, that is not correct. The money was debited from my account. I will get back to you with the details.
@@MrKarlengel Hi Karl, we cannot find your name in our system. The card can hold the funds depending on your bank, but it is a temporary authorization.

European's Help me out here! Does anyone know how to get analogue productions records in Europe without paying that hefty shipping fee?
Contact Michael Ludwig at 45RPM, he’ll help you out ruclips.net/video/AoZHjLiuxVc/видео.html
On street stores but you have to wait. They’ve got the last runs of the KOB as far as I can see it.
👌👌
Chad, why don't you print your own jackets if that's the weak link here??
I gotta go to sleep sometime at night.
Steely Dan on UHQR???
That would be nice, wouldn't it!
@@acousticsoundsks yes it would! Especially in 33 and 45
Just dreaming here.. i wish you had a european shop also.. taxes and shipping for one album at around 100€ .. ahh too bad because AP records are second to none 🥺
Thanks for your compliment. I wish taxes and shipping weren't so high.
