Loved it. As a dad of three (our oldest is about Sierra's age) it's nice to see how you guys are doing it. Sometimes I get a bit envious of your lifestyle. We live in Indiana and treasure any chance we get to see an ocean or a mountain. It's encouraging to see that even in the middle of paradise, your daughter will still dump her spitty coconut water into your cup, haircuts are still itchy, and home maintenence is still a struggle. Thanks for the reminder that your shit's your shit, there's no escaping it, and that finding the beauty around you is the only way through it all. 'preciate you all.

This is the way. I watch to be relaxed and live vicariously through your adventures. This style of video made me feel more connected to your day than any other video. It is fun to ride along with you all on adventures/crossings but the feeling that this video gave me cannot be beat. Pure relaxation. Oftentimes I find that RUclipsrs feel the need to keep everyone entertained by trying new or crazy things. With your channel it is not necessary. This video was great

I've been a devoted follower of Delos for eight years, witnessing the various shifts in your production style, and I've come to appreciate each one. Exploring the intricacies of diagnosing and repairing things on the boat has become a source of enjoyment for me. It's fascinating to observe the dynamics when you have a crew, witnessing their interactions and the adventures you embark on together. The ASMR sailing videos, in particular, offer a serene escape from the daily grind of my landlocked life. This episode provides a delightful glimpse into your extraordinary lives. You are truly fortunate to live the life you do, and your willingness to share your experiences and adventures is a blessing to those of us who find inspiration in your journey. Thank you so much.

Agreed. And also, when you're 8 yrs old up to the mid teens, you can still recall the early years, and places visited can appear in your dreams. So they continue to shape you as you mature into an adult.

Brian, you are one very very lucky man. Sierra may not remember details from these days. However they will be the building blocks of her personality in the years to come. What a wonderful foundation she will have. This was the perfect video to watch on a snowy, cold winter morning. Please repeat.

For me, this is my absolute FAVORITE kind of Delos video. It lowers my blood pressure. It makes me feel like I am part of the crew, living the best Swiss Family Robinson adventure with y'all. The only bad thing is that the video end. I could easily watch these day in the life videos 24 hours a day.

Really enjoyed the slower pace, I think if I were sailing around the world, this is what I'd hope most of my free time would be like. That said, I can't remember a single episode that I haven't totally enjoyed, fast pace, slow pace, the long passages, buddy boating with friends, even the boat work videos, you always do such a great job of explaining the process involved to make upgrades and repairs...

I loved this style of recording that shows you guys just having a normal day. By the way, I can never get enough of the underwater footage. You asked an amazing question, "will Sierra remember this all" truthfully, you and Karin will have full memories and Nugget will have warm glimpses of fleeting short memories that will last her a lifetime and reminder her of how much you love her. Cheers and fair winds (from snowpacalypse Chicago area).

So dreamy! I'm really glad you include these slower-paced island breaks. The ultimate beach fire on an atoll without footprints... I doubt I'd ever be able to compare that to anything in my experience! White unblemished sands... you are correct in rating this a 10/10!!! And Sierra is picking up entire sentences from her parents. She's growing before our eyes. Her "woo-hoo!" signoff never gets old! :)

Sierra, the little Mariner, will remember this with every fiber of her body, in a way that all of us growing up by or on the ocean feel a kinship with it. She will be at home on any coast and just dipping a toe in the water will be the same ocean she played in as a kid, no matter how far we have traveled since. I hope this message reaches you guys, and reassures you of what a wonderful gift you are giving her for life❤

The time lapse of the stars really hits me in the heart. As you know and anyone who has been someplace truly dark the stars are breathtakingly beautiful and overwhelming. There’s so many and you can’t focus on them all at once. The stars take on a three dimensional feeling. You stare and focus and the stars are endless. I miss the open ocean ! Thanks for taking me along.

This video is as close to perfect as anyone could every hope for. I can’t imagine a more vivid real life example of paradise, true love and happiness. We all know your life is not always perfect but I can’t imagine anything better that having a beautiful wife and daughter who truly loves their daddy and husband. I have no doubt that Sierra will remember living in paradise and helping her mom give her daddy a haircut on an uninhabited island in paradise. I love this laid back video production and wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks for who you are and what you do.

Kazaa and Brian, as you asked: As a years-long follower who loves Sierra's antics and delightful progress, loves beaches, fires, stargazing, relaxed days of snorkeling in clear waters, and gets seasick in an elevator - this type of episode is my absolute favorite. The sea state of the beach is just fine by me. Congrats on finding this amazing place and controlling the resources to relax and enjoy it, just the three of you. May you have calm seas ahead.

The sunset shot showing the different colors in the sky was unbelievable - the different tones of blue, purple & pink just reminds me how much there is to see in this world. I am fortunate enough to travel and see some of it, but I'm always inspired by your videos to go out and see even more of it. I may not do it by boat, but getting out there - being open to people and different cultures - and having the mindset to enjoy the people around you leads to a much more satisfying life. Keep up the great work, plenty of people are watching and supporting. Cheers!

A truly great story is told with very few words!!! Sierra may not remember everything, except that she played with her parents every day, traveling the world on a magical boat that rode the wind and waves, hung out with pirates and a cast of salty characters, being received as the princess she truly is on every distance shore. She will remember the magic and the love, those around her will think her childhood was a story of fiction, like Peter Pan, but sum of us will always believe in magic, and know it was absolutely true 🤠

I always enjoy watching your videos and long to be 20 years younger to "sail away!"
You were wondering if Sierra would remember these early years. She of course will have these amazing videos to look back on, but a photo book is always great to have sitting around. My mother always took pictures. Of course, this was back in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s when you had to have your film developed. She would put the photos into a photo album and if it was raining out, too cold out, or just too late in the evening to go outside, my sister and I would go to the bookshelf and look at the photo albums. Kids love to look at pictures of themselves. It's because of these photos in the photo albums that I DO remember things we did around the house, older family members, and celebrations at a young age.
Now, when we have family holidays, family reunions, birthdays, or vacations, I take a lot of pictures and put them into Shutterfly photo books, for each family. My son who lives in California and who we only see once a year, said that when I sent them our last get-together photobook, the kids look at the photo book every day, instead of playing on their tablets!!

I loved this episode. I am 68 years old and grew up in Puerto Rico. We had a 32 foot sailboat that my Dad sailed every weekend to the nearby islands and to the Virgin Islands for our vacations. Back then, we often were anchored places where we were the only ones. At night the sky looked like the one is this video. My Dad only had charts and a compass and a sexton. (He was a navigator in the navy). My Mom only had one cooler in the galley. We did have a radio for communication. We often sailed overnight to get to the Virgin Islands. I have many good memories. Sierra will remember. I have enjoyed watching your little family. I like all your episodes since you have had Sierra. You are both very talented at filming videos and editing.

Fabulous video, THANK YOU. As for Sierra remembering: very few children will have such a complete set of early memories, because looking at the videos will keep them fresh in her mind. She'll even have clear pictures of how her parents met, and the years before she was born, from those. She'll watch the wedding, and wish she had been there. And as for the events at a certain hospital in Sweden, four years ago - that, too.

We have 3 little girls and often ask the same question. “Will they remember this?”
What the do when they are 4 helps create who they are when they’re 6 and what they do when they are 6 is both impacted by what they remember and will create who they will become at 8. And so on. We find they forget what we thought was important and remember in happy detail what we thought was mundane. It’s a beautiful life you have there and y’all always seem to appreciate it to the fullest. Cheers from snowy Pennsylvania.

This video is what many of us need. A little solace, a little quiet, beauty around us (family and scenery). Many of our lives are like your videos, dealing with breakdowns, sailing up wind and always seeming to go, go, go. It is nice to take a little break from our maddening pace and just find paradise. The video presented is what many see as paradise, solitude, beauty, a slow pace. Every now and then help us find paradise.

Loved how "chill" this episode was. It's funny... during the pandemic, I randomly started watching a few sailing channels and got hooked. I'm not a sailor, but I'm a lover of the ocean and nature. When I went on the hunt for another sailing channel to follow, yours kept coming up as one of the top ones, so I randomly picked an older video to watch, and honestly, it just wasn't my vibe and that was that. Fast forward to a couple of months ago, I happened upon your Pacific crossing series and was blown away. How could I have gotten it so wrong about your channel?? lol
After watching that series, I went back about a year and binge watched until I finished the most current video. Then I went back and binged watched from 2019 and I'm almost back to the beginning again. Now, you're my favorite channel and I will be becoming a patron as soon as I start work again. I absolutely love your content, and have enjoyed watching Sierra grow up in such a unique environment. What a lucky girl! I'm also a diver, so watching your whale encounters and the grouper spawning was especially breathtaking.
Sorry it took me so long, but glad to be part of the Tribe now! Thank you so much for sharing your adventures and I look forward to seeing what's next. Cheers :-)

Good thing about technology is that she can always go back and watch these videos and remember and relive these times.

Yep “There is for sure something about that “Beach Fire Taste” coupled with a fun day working up an appetite like no other hunger and enjoyment of food EVER.
You Video took me back to where I was born and raised KEY WEST, Fl in the 50’s and 60’s you could go to the beach and their were times no one else was there. Our family would go out and cook a whole pig in the ground surrounded by Palm Fronds. A night sleeping at the beach watching the stars and storms in the distance were so amazing. All of your videos are good. They are certainly a balanced mix of the Variety and Spice of Life the comes with your journey around this beautiful planet. Thanks for the 7 years I have enjoyed watching. I’m chronically ill so the videos bring me hours of enjoyment seeing you enjoy a beautiful life sailing. Hopefully Sierra enjoys growing up the way I did I loved growing up Swimming, Boating, Fishing, Camping. My dad and his buddies built Shacks on Stilts 14 miles from land and on weekends we would spend our time out there in the Shacks and Islands in the Sea. Take care and enjoy your days while you’re still able.
    Bless your family.
    Valerie

I've liked this kind of video. Sierra's superstar! She makes the passing of time more meaningful. At 10:20 the fuzzy-fizzy thing's been hilarious: Brian's keeping asking fuzzy? fuzzy? Restrainig himself from correcting Kaza (that for sure speak a much better enghlish than me).

Brian and Karin, this video sets the standard. Your narration, music, drone footage, cinematography and editing were all top notch. I would also like to acknowledge your philosophic question, regarding if Sierra will remember this grande adventure. These are the type of questions one may ask themselves as they relax on a beach. Well done to the both of you for an amazing episode.

Boy, this was nice and relaxing. I really enjoyed the minimal music. It really gave the feeling of being on a deserted island without a sound system following you around. So peaceful. Thanks for the calm

We really, really enjoyed this episode... of the nearly 400 episodes that we have watched. The slower pace, the nature and the "day in the life of" narrative. We are birdwatchers and enjoyed videos of the white terns. We are from Calgary, Alberta where the current temperature is -31 Celsius. You keep us warm!

Kudos for your content. Have swallowed the hook. I lived aboard for 15 years, got 26,000 miles under my keel--a magical time--it blows me away with the tech part, like an outboard on a dinghy(lol) or a watermaker( I carried 700 gallons, water was always a challenge) Made electricity by dragging a prop in the water and turning a geared down alternator when sailing. Made 5 amps until a fish would try to eat the prop, carried extras) I navigated by sextant and H.O.249. Guess I was camping out by comparison, however, the beauty of nature spoke volumes. We will never know all the sailors Out There. My Mantra: The faces change, but the crowd is the same. Thanks for sharing. Fair Winds and Force 3, Peace Out.

As a snowstorm is about to roll into Toronto, I get to sit in my home office & watch you folks at play in French Polynesia. Thanks for allowing me to join you. I loved it. These occasional videos without a real purpose to them are really quite enjoyable. As with a lot of your viewers, I love the life that you are giving to Sierra. Your library of videos will always be there to poke her memory into remembering her earliest years. Such a gift. Thank you Brian & Karen for all that you bring us as you journey around the planet. Cheers & fair winds.
