Doug is probably the only person I've been excited to willingly see their knife collection.

I love the strategically placed famous Doug Marcaida blade skill scenes, as much as I love your knives, I also really like watching you decapitate dummys, demolish bamboo carpets, and destroy color filled bags.

The other day at work I was bored so I flattened a spoon using a wok range as my furnace and a ladle as my hammer. I then sharpened the spoon and bent it to make a push knife (blade perpendicular to the handle so it comes out between your knuckles). I also made a "tactical throwing spoon" which was just a flattened spoon sharpened into a spear-point. Unfortunately my attempts at heat treating and tempering my culinary ninja weapons failed due to the metallic composition of the spoons. Still pretty cool though

i love this. when most people show stuff on youtube videos its usually "this is another one of these, but another version and that brings me to this one" but Doug says the name of the knife and the history of it and information.

I unintentially forged a style of a Cortada for a friend, ended up liking it so much, its on my list to make another for myself.
This awesome as heck! I'm glad to see he's not just a fan of blades but also into the whole craft as well. Maybe one of these days he can be on the judges panel. Though, IDK if it'd be the same if Neilson swapped roles with him. It'd go from "It will kill" to "I can't kill it" in a heartbeat.
He's not just a martial artist. He's very eloquent with words too
