    I just learned that some resin once open has a very short shelf life and was trying to look into other means. Thanks again.

    Thats a great tip to use plaster to hold shapes that you normaly cant grip well in tooling. brilliant

    An FR XIV is good if you are loving the RCAF, late war. I am building the Academy FR XIV now and what ever it's accuracy faults are, it fits together very well ( so far ) and I am pleased with it. The new Airfix version is on order and I would love it if they came out with the Malcom hood version as well. It looks so simple when you demo a technique .... that it goes so for me doubtful.

    Silicone sealant and cornstarch mixed is a good alternate for alginate.

    Or use the FRXIV wing and the PRXIX wingtip.
