This goes to show truly how much the boss monsters of undertale can hold on to themselves. You take away the main melody and yet still, it's there. Even through its "death" it remains holding on to all it has left. Just to shine through even in the slightest and show you it hasn't given up and won't die out so easily.

I love the little details in the soundtrack. ASGORE and Heartache have mostly the same soundfonts, leitmotifs being used everywhere (except MEGALOVANIA, which is quite fitting because everyone is dead by then) and MEGALOVANIA being remixed from the Earthbound Halloween Hack because of Sans being Ness

Originally asgore was meant to have one final attack where he strikes box with his trident and has that creepy look. I guess it may play when asgore uses that attack.

I've noticed that removing the main melody tends to make it sound more desperate
probably because the bassline and beats sound much faster than the main melody, so without the melody the whole thing sounds more fast-paced
