- Today in Pattaya Thailand we tour my new Pattaya Condo and the neighborhood after being all moved in now for two weeks. I will discuss some of the benefits of the condo and neighborhood and we will tour the unit and some of the facilities before riding around the neighborhood and patronizing some of the local businesses. I too have watched all through and from what i saw that condo was more expensive than what was actually paid, so a deal was done somewhere - but hes gone quiet on that fact :)
We close the deal at 13,700 thb for 1 year lease

13700 THB is about 340 GBP according to a calculator
A good tip when looking for accomodation, go back at several times of the day and night
Looks like they packed as many condos as possible on the land and minimal sunshine on the pool area
A little shade in Thailand is not a bad thing. A little hot over there haha

I'm so happy that both you and Vee are happy with the condo and the surrounding area and facilities. Also, I saw you yesterday with your awesome bike crossing soi korpai.
The cut through to Soi Diana, known as Soi PEE PEE, every moto taxi driver and drunk uses it as a toilet, the smell in the dry season is quite overwhelming.
Credit to you mate for taking the bull by the horns and making a nice life for yourself, I didn’t know about the 300 either, I’d like to bet that it’s a very “ do it all machine”. Thanks
Thanks for the video, I stayed in the Travel lodge and ate in that little spot for 2 weeks, back in Nov 2019. Great area, close to all the fun stuff.
I stay at the Travelodge too. We're actual neighbors when I'm there! haha I didn't realize Lucas' place was literally right next door until I google walked around a couple days ago. What a great location, can't wait to get back! Guess he won't be doing a review on the Travelodge though, eh? Maybe review the one in BKK where I stay as well. Love it! Ttyl. C ya when I c ya!
Lukas the thing above your 4ring cooker is known as an "extractor fan" it takes the smells of your cooking and extracts it to outside . Enjoying your videos and blogs , nice work , baz in Glasgow .

1 The Grand Ave Juristic refused to keep rooms keys , when the tenants moved out last year , during Covid virus time . They ask overseas vandor to keep keys by themselves . Its very unreasonable !

Good that you & Vee are enjoying the new place. Nothing but positiveness in this Video. Everything is so convenient for you both. I like Quiet too. That would take a few weeks for me to get used to. Without the Stray Cats running over the porch roof at night or the occasional pet rooster. But this would be easy to get used to the quiet.

We had a similar thing in Vietnam with the glass between the lounge and the shower. It did have blinds.
Thats a Built in Split AC system, they are the most economical, they are great, quit and simply great.
How do you get charged for usage when it is shared throughout the building??

Glad to hear that it is quiet there. Grand Avenue will be my #1 choice when I retire in May.
I am not much for living in the city, but this would be so comfortable and awesome for pattaya.
Perfect location . I love your new condo . I concur with your comment about the balcony size taking away inside space checked out quite a few for rent 18, 22k etc and rear view obviously cheaper but large balcony’s also a premium at the cost of internal space.

Looks amazing Lucas. I have to say, Pattaya is not a place I've considered living but I have to say, your videos have made me think that it's definitely something to consider. Definitely worth a look, on my next trip to Thailand. Great video, looking forward to the next one.
Very nice condo! I do like the convenience of the Mall, eateries, and such.
It's a great location. I've always stayed at that Travel Lodge near you. All amenities are close by and because its behind The Avenue - it's been a very popular location for many years. Before the pandemic - that street was very busy and can get noisy.
I stay at the Travelodge myself when in Pattaya, can’t go wrong for the price and location, many a nights/mornings i’ve stumbled up those steps lol

Indeed a great location. Please do another report next year after Thailand fully reopens and the tourism returns to pre-pandemic levels.
Hi , in March I was staying at The Urban around the corner, just wanted to mention at the 7/11 were usually a couple carts with fruit, chicken, and pork. I’ll be back in January 👍🏽 enjoying the videos
Beautiful place. May look forward next year to be your neighbors. Love the Italian kitchen cabinets. Nice unit gód choice and A/C look like central. Hope some day Thailand open.
For the glass shower and windows, I like to use frosted vinyl window film or they also call them window stickers in Thailand. It works for privacy and or modesty. They’ll still let the daylight through. I usually only go chest high or just enough to cut out neighborsview.

Very nice Lucas, and handy to everything. I just had a thought for your clear glass window of your shower, you could always install a ' frosted' stick on sheet, similar to window tint, but just 'frosted'. It would still let the natural light in and you wouldn't have to worry if your shear curtains were closed or not and the neighbours wouldn't be getting a free shower show, 555 , I'm always watching. cheers buddy and stay safe

I love those condos but you have to admit....the only negative i found was the heat from the AC on the deck. Other than that I was always stay there. I have a friend that rents a few of them on air bnb. It looks like you're pretty close to the room I was in. Building C floor 5.....also if you haven't figured it out yet, if you go straight under that little drive thru at 11:59 of your video, its a short cut to 2nd street. Thats what all the bike taxis use.

Your first cut through ends at Kafe Kromburgs
If you have maintenance at that complex you should ask them to check the water damage right on top of your shower head, it looks like the beginning of a nightmare.

That Family Mart is permanently closed as the landlord refused to reduce the rent, shame, it`s only been open about two years. There is a good little pop up restaurant outside, the food is cheap and large portions. Opposite Cloud 9 you will find another cut through which runs parallel with Soi Buakhao and brings you out opposite Nicky`s restaurant, handy if your walking. The gym is closed as there was a flooding on the sixth floor that took out all below it including the gym, the roof collapsed with the weight of water, so currently awaiting repair.

Great video thanks, with your help I plan to move there next month. Don't know if I'd walk through those cut throughs ,especially in the dark, I'd be too worried about soi dogs or getting mugged.

I had to chuckle at Vee "plating up" her takeout. I quest her classes at school are having an influence.
Most of the condos are empty now unless they are living in the country fulltime. Expect the noise to go up alot when Air Bnbs are coming daily and owners are coming to party. CoVid has changed tourist pattaya into something that it wont be as soon as covid is either done or accepted.

Could you do a drive around video at teatime to give an indication of how busy things are. I really enjoy the motorbike ride around video.
The condo looks great for the price. I remember them breaking when I would go to the Hideaway for food and Kev in Thailand meet nights.

Loving the neighborhood - hope you'll keep showing us local area businesses and food options. Definitely want to see Buakow market and local market options. Curious where you'll find pizza you like - I think NDTVi touted a pizza place on Soi Boomerang iirc.
Thr camera mount on your bike provides a nice view
If you’re really cheeky walk across the road to the Centara Azure reception, walk past the pool and there’s is a cut through to the middle of soi Dianna

Yeah, that first cut through aka ‘piss alley’ is a bit scary at night, very dark and quiet. Whenever a bike came past I half expected him to stop and rob me 😲. I ended up going the long way around. The Centara is a great hotel. I’ll stay there again 👍. Great bit of info btw.
Ive done that many times, straight through reception, by the pool and through centra hotel reception or round the outside if its open :)
You can also turn first right thru that alley and thru car park and come out onto Soi Boomerang and up to Soi B. - or second right and down alley - coming out across from Cheap Charlies.
