  • In this episode I continue my Pattaya condo search by visiting Suplamai and we look at both one and two bedroom condos. The building's location in South Pattaya and the size of the unit seem to be what I am looking for. Will this be my next Pattaya Condo? Enjoy The Ride!

    Its a real nice condo. Personally you cant beat having a accommodation with a garden . 20 thousand Bath you could rent beautiful house

      Most new condos and hotels are fitting these now, I have them in my place in Spain, you can never find an adapter when you need one.

    I LIKE the TWO Bedroom in THIS Building. I'd just prefer one on a lower floor. It's Probably Cheaper too.

    Really helpful for the foreign renter when these places come fully furnished .
    Renting not buying imo is the smart and cheaper option for the farang .

    Really good condo review this latest one is the best you've shown so far in my humble opinion. The 2 bed was really really good with the multiple balconys and storage it had. Superb. Especially as you need a work area. Personally id even be happy with just the 1 bed as it was plenty big enough for me, certainly bigger than the average pattaya condo.
    Having that huge market across the road is a massive plus! ➕ ➕
    The last one i know as ive stayed there it was good in many ways especially the pools but the sauna was always always broken and the owner was slack about having things fixed wouldnt recommend it.

    I think this place is a winner...that huge market across the street is a massive bonus...I would def take a 1 bdrm and even with electric charges it would be right around 10,000 per month...the location actually seems superb...Jomtien is growing quickly and downtown Patts is just a 7-10 minute ride...just waiting for the LOS to open back up...thanks for this info :) :)

    Nice lookin units! Much more spacious than some of the previous. Love that. Do like the partition idea in the single between kitchen and living area as well. Nice idea. The 2 bedroom was as you say, better sized as it should be. Pretty good. 👍🏼
    Great location for sure with the market! Wow. My hesitation would be irt the distance from other amenities and attractions in Patty. How is the accessibility to the rest of the city? I need to get to the beach somewhat quick! I prefer not to drive, certainly not bike so, I would like to know the baht bus and other public transport scenarios. 👍🏼 Also need to get to Walking Street, and the Pier, LK, Buakhao, the hockey rink, Terminal 21, bus station, etc...
    Love the Penthouse. Great common area views and roomy spacious gardens as well. Love those.
    Pool/Gym area is a bit different with the proximity to living area. Interesting. Nice to have a little walk over though; good warm up! 👍🏼 No complaints about that!
    Sapalai(is that correct?); pretty good! I would consider it for sure.

    City Garden Tower next!! That's crazy! As I was watching this episode I was going to suggest you check out City Garden Tower! I couldn't remember the name of it and was going to go back in my searches and suggest it. Then you said it!! 😳😅😅 Love it! I had checked that one out before as a possibility.     Great video Lucas.
    Whatever condo you choose it will be the one that suits you and your lifestyle requirements. You’ll know when you’ve found it (maybe you already have).
    Kudos to the agent and her new found celebrity status for working hard not knowing whether she will end up getting a commission or not.
    Vee is an absolute gem, so patient and taking everything in her stride. You’re a lucky man.

    Have a look at the condo block behind the agents office. It's called the Cliff Condo residence, my gf had a unit there pre Covid, 1 bed about 50sqm on floor 17 for 15000 a month, very quiet and nicely designed units. I'm sure better deals on rent are available now. Prior to that she had a 1 bed condo in the Amazon residence in Jomtien for 8000 a moth, only 35sqm but a fantastic pool 😏

    Good do see you in Supalai Mare.. My partner has a one bed on floor 31. The downside for me was location. To leave you have to turn right in front of the Coliseum on 4 lane Thep Prasit Road plus you are away from restaurants, bars and the beach. My choice would be View Talay 7 on the Dongtan Beach

    I'd get nosebleed being that high up, I guess it's ok if you're into base jumping or something though....Vee gettin' in the way...into the storage cupboard....as if you would ever dare do that lmao!!

    Thanks again for another great video and great segment on your condo rental search segment! I started my condo purchase search about the same time you started this video segment , so been enjoy your reviews of the different condo buildings. On a clarification note for others, keep in mind that although you were reviewing units in south Pattaya/Thep Prasit Road...it is not South Pattaya road. South Pattaya road is where the Wat Chai temple and TekCom is at. Also, the market close by - I've always known it to be as "Rattanakhon Market Thepprasit". On your last unit you looked at that had the sliding door divider from the kitchen, I had one 2 condos ago and it "really" does come in very very handy! The 2 bedroom looked great! IMHO, if you choose this building, you should go for the 2B. Keep up the great work! And if there is a way for me to make a donation to support the channel, please let me know how I can do so.

    I started to watch your video and something from the past came to my think.
    In one video of yours I remember you mentioned that you thinking about buying a small truck so you can carry your motorcycle up the north of Thailand.
    If you already have a car or you don't like to buy a small flatbed you can always look for a trailer for only 1 motorcycle or even 2.
    They are not expensive at all very lightweight and almost the length of a motorcycle.
    It is like a motorcycle ramp with wheels light and brakes.
    You put in your motorcycle in the right up position and you fasten it with stripes on the base of the the treiler....I use to go off roading with friends and we can carry 3 off road bikes with 1 trailer.

    By far the best units in this series so far. I agree the 2-bedroom unit is a good size and well laid out, a criticism I have of lots of units.
    First time I have ever seen any one using a condo gym! They are usually deserted!

      I think it depends on what are the most user in the building. I think most people that go to holiday for a shorter time, will not really use the gym. If you have more thai residents or long stay foreigners, you will see people in the gym.

    I really liked the 2 bdr apartment, though 20k/pm is a little on the high side. The 1 bdr's were also nice but only good for 1 occupant IMO. Looking forward to your next condo search 👍

    The huge balconies and larger unit for the money makes this a winner. I stayed at Unixx last trip, not bad! But had issue with the plumbing, a sewage smell backed up into the 29th floor studio.

    Lucas two bdr. good looking unit. Doors should be white. Hallway is kind of commercial bld. Living room is great size. Extra small bed is onto for snoring person. Haha. Like three A/C units save you lots of money.

    Have a look at Axis Condo in Pattaya. It's on the baht bus route. Behind it is the National Park with direct access from the building. Great views of Pattaya or Jomtien. I like the view towards the National Park. I am thinking of buying a unit there.

    That 2 bedroom seems like the best option so far, by far! It was so much more "roomy" than the other units you've shown. The parking is way better too... especially compared to the last complex. 😳 Very interesting series of videos .. keep up the great work!

    The two bedroom is certainly the best unit you have shown so far, I agree about the colour scheme but I guess it is what it is. Pool area does not look to be as good as previous building but the little I have seen shows that it is adequate. With the current occupancy rates you may well get a good deal there.

    There are 19 one bedrooms and 12 two bedrooms available for rent at Supalai. One bedroom seems like living in a shoe box with 2 occupants. I would go for the 2 bedroom. Website says 25k THB so I don’t know if they have already discounted price. Your agent is so sweet!

    Location location location, great parking, good storage, and so much on the street for all your needs. Baht bus runs there and only 5mins from everything else

    Today's condo is excellent choice for long term. Common place is not as fancy. But location amenities with market is nice. And condo unit layout is excellent.

    Pratumnak area ,lived in this area 7 years ,it Won't suffer from the traffic as much as other areas when the tourists return , it's considered the posh area in Patts ,and the beach area is lovely winch it was upgraded ,lovely stroll from soi 5 to police box in the evenings -

    I saw your Phuket video where you ended up at a restaurant you said you would eat at once week if you could. Well you can as it is called Wine Connection and there is one in the Royal Garden Plaza in Pattaya. I am not an employee by the way but I do eat at their various outlets fairly often.

    This is the best offering in a 2 bedroom so far... really dated , hotel style furniture... the color of the door jams would really take time to grow on, small TV put it in the bedroom , storage pantry nice feature, respectable parking...get a cover for your bike[s], noticed a couple children scooting through that didn't look Thai... a few expats living there, gym was good didn't do the conversion for cost... 75 sqmet. small but largest layout so far and convenient to market... all the checks in the right boxes... wait to see the next offering.. but until then bye for now ! Oh and as always, great video, ...umm 650 USD monthly 807 sqft...pricey place...and to all the nay sayers, yes that is a decent price for a 2bdr. apartment in the USA considering also that is the size of a one bedroom studio apartment and it would have a fully equipped kitchen, designated parking, additional storage.. a 2 bedroom about 800 monthly... I have some TOWNHOUSE units in town 1250 monthly... roughly 2400 soft, 2 bedroom, living room, 2 and 1/2 bath, family room, dining room, kitchen, fireplace, 2 car garage, front and back entrance plus through the garage...driveway...just for comparison...and it's a little on the high side compared to a apartment.

    The 2-bedroom looks tough to beat so far. Between the square footage (or meters) and how it’s laid out, you wouldn’t feel as cramped as the others.
    Some previous ones, it looked like you could sit on the couch and reach across and touch the TV.

    Hi Lucas wow so many comments, The yellow doors my god what were they thinking? If you and Vee decide on one with yellow doors you have a month or so negotiate on a price and get them to paint the doors white. Thanks for the tour but after all you both must agree on which one too choose

    Suplmai maybe is the best so far nice open units fare prices and is smack dab in the middle of Jomtien beach area and South Pattaya.. Have you considered Wongamat beach North Pattay there are some amazing properties. L.A Rob

    Still recommend you look at the View Talay 1 to 8 not 6 condos in Jomtien, they are older but you’ve got a lot of variety of options on size and rooms, no gyms but the swimming pools are very spacious and parking is certainly much better imo! Also I never have to use the air conditioning, somehow a fan is all that is needed for me, the electric on 3 air con units would be pricey. Because the condos are older you get more floor space for your money, some units have been completely modernized and they get snapped up

      Not often you use more than one aircon at a time and certainly not all day. From the way Thais use aircon I'm not sure it can be that costly. In my £20 a night hotel rooms the cleaners come in and turn on the aircon whilst they work and never turn it off when they leave, and it can be all afternoon before I come back to my room.

      Yeap, i agree. I stayed at View Talay 2b some times and all units was bigger than the ones you saw until now. I have a friend that manages some rooms there and he showed me a unit that actually was 2 units (on 2 floors) connected with a spiral staircase.

    The two bedroom was very nice except for the colors but plenty space and location to shopping big plus I would put at the top of the list .

    Good video. Why not check out View Talay Condos in the same area. They are spacious well built Condos with equally great views and popular with a lot of American expats.

    Thep Prasit Rd is a very busy, noisy road. There is a huge Thursday nite Market. Lots of food. I never ate there. Big C is nearby, It has a very good food floor and a good Supermarket. A nit pricey for deli meats. The main Jomtien Market is also nearby. I found the small market restaurants to have the best food, but it closes at 5 pm.

    I like the second condo the most for so many reasons . You have access to the market awesome and that view is perfect . Negotiate 500 a month those owners have been sitting on them empty

    Wow, if we could get a 1 bedroom there for $300-$350...we’d be very happy.
    We may head to Chiang Mai to get temps that are a little cooler.

    Hi Lucas! My friends had some problems to get their deposit back in this condo. It may be useful to note that. During the usual tourists' times It gets a lot of noise from hallway in that building. Everything else is okay.

      Most of the time in Thailand you don't get your deposit back , the Thais know that as well

      Alex Many different landlords in each condo block, so it is a landlord problem not a condo problem. That's where people make a mistake generalizing.

      @@grahamjohnson4702 Yes. You are right. It is case-by-case basis if you rent directly from private landlord/ owner of any particular property. In the case I mentioned above - someone was using the services from real estate agency located right by the entrance to that condominium. I should not generalize that case for the whole condominium. Let's just say it happens most of time in many places. :)

    Thanks for showing the market. I am a bit new to Pattaya and just learning about some of the markets so this was helpful. In most of the condos you have looked at were within a very short walk of a baht bus. Is there a baht bus that runs out on Thep Prasit Road?

    12:35 good observation! If you could get that one-bedroom for 8,000b. take it. It's enough space and you have all the same common area as someone paying 20,000b for a two-bedroom.
